The problem with this is, that these movies have a good and a bad party. But in Thai politics, it is two bad guys against each other. A movie about rival mafias would reflect the situation move accuretly.

FOREIGN TEACHERS: Thousands to be recruited
Published on May 23, 2005
10,000 native speakers needed to boost primary level English-language skills
The Education Ministry is to recruit 10,000 native English speakers to teach primary school students at government schools nationwide.
Advertisements will be posted on the ministry’s website, with Thai embassies assisting in selecting candidates. Applicants must at least hold a bachelor’s degree.
“We offer a one-year contract and free accommodation,” Education Minister Adisai Bodharamik said yesterday. The expatriate teachers would be sent to upcountry schools, he said.
They would mainly be sent to primary schools with less than 200 students, he added.
“During their one-year contract, we will rotate [them] to new schools four times so that they will see new things every few months and won’t get bored while staying here,” he said. He also believed that students would pay fresh attention to their class when new teachers arrive.
Adisai said Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra agreed in principle with the plan to employ native English speakers because it would help boost students’ command of English. So far, he said budget for the plan had not yet been finalised.
The education minister was speaking after he visited a school in Hanoi.
During his trip to Vietnam, Adisai met with his Vietnamese counterpart, Nguyen Minh Hien. The Vietnamese minister promised to support his plan to convene meetings of Asean education ministers a few times each year. The meetings would aim to promote educational co-operation among countries in the region.
Thailand has offered to host the first meeting.
Adisai added that Vietnam government had expressed interest in educational services provided at various Thailand-based institutions such as Ramkhamhaeng University, Chulalongkorn University and Kasetsart University.
He planned to invite his Vietnamese counterpart to visit Thailand in the near future.
Vietnam’s vice education minister Tran Van Nhung expressed confidence that Thailand and Vietnam would be able to learn from each other’s educational system and drew out the best management plan for their own country.
Asked about Vietnamese students’ talents in science, he said the tip was to have great teachers.

Oh yes, first class nation should mean like using handcuffs to arrest a 5-year old girl by 3 police officers. Like they did in the USA.
Your problem is that you think, the USA is a first world country. NOT!! First world is Norway, Sweden, Austria, Switzerland

London, Paris, New York = yes & you could also add Tokyo, Sydney & keep adding some more but not LA !!!
New York? Oh no! Give me San Franzisco instead, or Boston.
True world class cities are in Europe: Zurich , Amsterdam , Hamburg , Vienna , Berlin .

While the King working 24/7 at the age nearly 80 years old, Mr. Toxin and his family are shopping happily in Japan... Shame on him!
Golf
That is what you get, when the king is the only honest person in power.

Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister Purachai Piumsombun also announced his retirement from the Thai politics, saying that he would like to live with his family in New Zealand and become a lecturer there.

THAI RAK THAI
5 5 5 5 5 5 5 5
Made his money and runs before the corruption police get on his tail.
I hope the NZ government will let him make a visa run every 3 months.

I wonder why no one helped them by sending answers via SMS to their mobile phones.
Somehow i have the feeling that the answers where there right on the blackboard. But they failed to copy it correctly.

Where's the problem? At least we and the rest of Thailand will know who to blame.

Do any Thai businesses come to mind? Why do you think these businesses fail?
Are you kidding? To have a successful business in Thailand doesn't mean hard work and good service, but monopoly and extortion. Just watch any hardworking foreigner achieving some success that cuts into the income of some locals and you will see the mafia show up. Example: Shark disco in Phuket.

O.K. , To all you experienced Issan girl lovers...How about some tips and ideas on how to tell early on in a relationship if the girl is only about the money, or if there is truely an emotional attachment. After reading so much that it's about ... the money, the money, the money, .... You've all got me paranoid. Let's hear some concrete information, based on experience, of how to avoid the ladies that are only in it for the money!!! Thanks!
Give her little money, just what she needs to come by. But go out with her, travel, have fun. Watch if she stills enjoys your company after some time. My girl even went to work in a hotel as a maid while waiting a few months for me.

Maybe this is all part of Toxin's "Welcome western tourists" policy
If they don't get you because of problems with visa, drugs, not carrying your passport, urine tests, then they shoot you because of "losing face"
Maybe the government can promote him and send him to southern thailand to help out with the other problems they got.
Maybe i'm cynical, but let's see what happens with this guy !
No, you just found a new tourist niche: Thailand for 'weary of life' and 'suicidal'.
Cheaper and legal.

Is there anything that you do not like here in Thailand?
Lack of human development.
Cities are ugly accross the board
Lack of management
Careless about humans
Money, money, money
Sometimes too hot

Bullshit.
My girls has come to Switzerland with me for 5 years, up to 6 months a year. The major problem at the beginning was food. By now she enjoys Switzerland more than Thailand. She would like to live here.
Reasons:
- Quiter
- More honest, respectful people
- Cooler
- Better landscape
- More things to do (hiking, biking etc.)
- Safer

A typical study, that tells, what they want to see.
Friendly people? You can't cross a street in Pattaya without being run over. You pay 10 fold for all kind of entries.
If you really want to see friendly people, go to New Zealand or Cambodia.

I think, there are different kind of bargirls. The first category is there for money and if they marry or not, it is always about money. The second kind is there for finding a mate. They often don't work the bar very long, get taken out and married. I know at least 3 long term relationships including my own that worked out. The problems these couples face are the normal relationships problems like everywhere.
My girl worked at the bar for 3 weeks. She is not educated but intelligent, great cook, very disciplined. We take the girls from bars, because they are the easiest available and easiest to 'test drive'. It is not so much a question of the bar, more about the mindset. I will marry her soon, but is is more than 4.5 years we have been together.

There goes again the story of poor girls. I live in Pattaya and i have yet to find a girl, that is really that poor. Most are just disenchanted by their males or bored.

Well, after 5 years, staying during the winter months in LOS, i have increasingly grown to love my home country Switzerland more and more. I prefer the down-to-earth people there over the hallow smileys, the mountains over the sea and fresh air over heat. I guess i will marry my thai gf and relocate back to Switzerland next winter. There are many other places worth to stay to avoid the worst cold (Portugal would be nice).

Shut down half of all taxis in Pattaya. Will save a lot of fuel and be great for traffic flow. Also i wonder, why nobody talks about the waste of fuel in Bangkok traffic jams.
