  1. hi do any of you guys know where i can get a new fuel pump for a bmw r1100s near pattaya

    new or s/h thanks

You can always get it from Motobins UK .They sell new and patern BMW motorcycle parts at discount .They also have a limited selection of second hand parts .They ship overseas .There web site is , http://www.motobins.co.uk/motobins-delivery-information.php

thank for that bmw bangkok is a rip off 13000 for the pump 1600 for a filter mobins uk is 109pounds 20 pounds shipped thanks guys

  2. hi I put hita in my tank and it works well cleans the pipes as well as the tank you do not need to worry about it for a few weeks then the green algae will return bleach evaporates from the water and will need to be a regular thing . you might find your taps block up with the dead green this is easy to get out. most taps here have a filter at the end unscrew the filter and clean it run the taps for a while. electric showers can block up to they have a filter in the in port you need to clean this too so don't run the shower or toilets until you have run the taps and all the algae has been flushed out.

in the uk the water is all treated with chlorine and lots of other stuff as well to make it drinkable so it is safe to use the water but not for fish as it will burn the gills good luck

  3. hi you should have a pressure switch to stop the pump. thease are avalabul in pattaya tepersit road jomtum end left side. or bkk find a white ballon type as the red ones are crap this will stop the pump when it reaches the set presure you need a ball valve on the tanks as well to stop the flow as it is full. i think from your description it has been fitted as a manual system you stand there and fill the tanks and if the flow stops you switch off not a good system the main thing is have you a lot of water in the ground to start with if not you could burn you pumps out very costly why so many tanks ask your next door houses about the water problems in the past few years and find out if the water has run out bore holes are feed by the water table if that is low you have a problem if you use a lot of water then keep the 6 tanks if not one would do the others are proberly from before the bore hole and would be your back up when there is no water. a bore hole is only as good as the water table. depends were you live.

    plumber

OK so here's the system I have walked into:

60M bore hole well - 6" pipe with 1 hp pump

    Feeding 6 x 4000 L tanks

then feed to outlets via 2 x 1.5hp pumps with inline pressure switch

What I want is to automate the system and install filtering, currently there's no set up to automatically feed the tanks OR shut the feed pump off if the bore hole runs dry (it has on before so I am told).

Also what size, style cost for a filter system ??

Float switch is easy enough to cut the in pump feeding the tanks.

The rest is kinda new to me as i've only ever dealt with main's supplied water feeds.

    TIA people!

  4. hi the art of sound insulation is this a new wall will work if it has no contact with the old wall a two inch gap but filled first as cement will conect the two walls bring your electrics though first .

next point how much is coming from the ceiling this can be the way the sound is transmitted ie ceilings are joined to the walls and are sheet ans sound like a drum you need to cut back the gypsum to fix this and run the new wall up above the ceiling and glass wool in the walls run over the ceiling this will also stop the heat from the walls .

termites love to eat wood and cardboard as well as plasterboard egg boxes wont work not in Thailand it will invite the pests to diner plasterboard is not good too as the termites eat it and use the plaster for there nests. all in all keep the works to solid brick or bloc any type will do as long as the gap is filled with glass to stop the vibrating sound out check the loft as you might find a hole to your nabours loft if so fill it and glass wool over the wall and the ceilings.

need any more advice on buildings im me

  5. credit cards well lets see you can buy anything you want and get it now. wonderful well you still have to pay it back with interest, 29% on most.

loan sharks charge the same but they are illegal the down spiral of debt if you pay cash for what you need and save the 28% for the next item you want need must have most must have it now cant afford it well if you cant afford it now six months down the line you still cant and it has cost you more to boot Thailand is not the same if you owe money and cant pay the difference is you can go to jail in Thailand until you can pay.

    cheer up some.... lol

it isn't so bad not carrying a thai credit card, is it?

many thai banks do offer refrig, rebates, refunds and what not. but their rules are much different than those in the western world. those thai by-laws are something we detest and despite to the utmost.... to put it mildly.

most of those rules are one-sided with the advantages to the rule makers. consumers' rights and priveleges.... far and few in between.

most if not all of us farangs can have cc from thai banks, the question for everyone to ponder is--how desperate are we?

if we are desperate enough and are willing to conform to their irrationally excessive rules and regulations according to our farang opinions and experiences , they will issue one or two or three---in our names, only if we are willing to conform and pay for them.

personally, i consider myself--cheap. i even refuse to pay the 150 baht fee imposed on banks' atm withdrawal. yesterday, i personally complained to the manager of the bank and came away with 30k without having to pay the 150 baht fee and i'll probably do it again.... when i feel indignant and irrational enough.... lol

(come to think of it, perhaps i should not do it again.... my small victory might have already cost him alot behind the scene.... no, defintely not, i shall not do that again. what i'll do is to apologize to him on monday. but i still probably won't pay the imposed 150 baht atm fee though). for the next time, i'll just have to figure out some other more creative and more passive way to get around having to pay the immoral and irrational 150 baht atm withdrawal fee.... lol

almost at the end of my own wit now, i gladly welcome your creative suggestions, fellow farangs.... lol

    :)

  6. hi Freddie am in town dont have your current phone number

The Phantom has it's place. In the US or Europe I wouldn't be caught dead riding one, but TIT, and it does make some sense here in a bizarre kind of Thai way. I think it's strongest point is how cheap maintenance and parts are, and how easy it is to find mechanics that are familiar with it. If you have the money to buy a bigger bike and go to a specialized mechanic, then by all means, but if you just want a cheap town bike with a cruiser look that is easily serviceable then Phantom at least deserves consideration. It's definitely not for everyone but it deserves a look.

The Phantom's days are numbered though IMO. With the Asian FTA on the horizon and bigger bikes becoming much cheaper, I don't think we'll see the Phantom around much longer.

  7. first watch youtube ring of power then look at who owns the news in the usa uk and then look for more crap that we are feeding on day after day. the ring of power is the key

27,000 odd cases, 144 deaths; approximately 0.5 percent

50 million cases = 250,000 dead of the current version.

    1 billion cases = 500 million deaths....at current strength.

But a mutant variation with stronger effects this number rises.

1 million cases is a lot of transmission vectors to allow for mutation.

It's not the current death rate, but the Vector rate that is the worry.

Viruses DO mutate and often unpredictably. And the DO merge and recombine.

it only takes ONE host with bird and swine to combine and set this off.

    Just one thought :

1918 was not imagination, nor manipulation, but IS history.

Those that don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

Who did your math for you? Better check your batteries in your calculator.

  10. hi guys

i have a problem getting a visa for my lady. we have tried twice but got refused twice. i showed money in the bank. my company bank accounts in the uk. bank accounts in thai bank. lots of photos of us as a family. money is not the problem. i have a house in the uk and in thailand. in the last ten years i have been in thailand for 7 years.

i was married to a thai for 25 years and had 3 kids we had no problems then to get visas. my kids all have thai passports as well as uk passports and were all born in the uk.

my girl and i have been together for 5 years. 7 years if i count the time she worked for me before we got together. she has a nice who lives with us she is 7 and my own 11 year old.

now my girl friend is pregnant and i wanted to get her here to see my family before getting married in thailand some have met her but my mum has not and i wanted to get a visiter visa for a holiday in the uk we live in thailand and dont want to live in the uk. i have land in thailand and a small restaurant. and a large one in london.

the question is this when the baby is born, i will get a uk passport for her . will this help in getting a visa for the mother, as she has been refused twice, and what type should we apply for.

i will want to get married some time soon.

is the embassy closed for all visa stuff or can we get to see the consulate. or is this now not possible with the uk border agency running things.

i dont need a visa for her niece as she will stay in thailand with her mum and dad who will look after the place for us. and so with all this can any one shed some light on this for me.

it may be that the british government will fall soon with all the crap they have been up to and it all will change again.

    thanks guys

Apologies if this is posted in the wrong section, I am new to thaivisa.com/forum

Much has been written recently with regard to Siam Racing of Pattaya & Scott Horvath. I have no wish to expand upon this except to make two points, firstly to congratulate Scott Horvath & his wife/consort Tum on achieving the business success they deserve; I am one of the few who got all my money back plus a premium as compensation for the huge delay even though it was a deeply unpleasant experience. Secondly, if a fully documented account of these dealings might assist any in the, putative, legal action please contact me but not in open forum.

My interest is in buying one or more of the bikes recovered before all the stock vanished. If the owner(s) of BMWs have the bikes in legal status in Thailand please contact me. Given the history of the business of Scott Horvath I will require an independent check of all the paperwork/green book-original, not recycled plus frame/engine numbers plus full inspection of the bikes. I will travel shortly so any interested sellers should make contact as soon as possible.

  12. you got it this is the new Siam motorcycles shop same road Scott has a house. yes too many beers

any way that's what i am told lam is Scotti's mechanic he is tums family tum Scott's Mrs so they are up and running again who's money this time.

I think sweeney has found someone's new shop.

    It is a double shophouse.

It is on soi Chiapornvitti, the road near the lights at Naklua Rd (or does it have it's own lights at the moment) that runs from Sukumvit past black pearl2 to the lake.

Lam works there and his Mrs Tum runs it.

I think when the beer wears off we may get a more coherent version of this.
