  1. really comes down to condition of the bike (and assuming it has green book), but anywhere from THB 25k to 40k seems to be the general asking prices.

I really appreciate the input thanks, it's alot more than I was thinking, that's good news, because the money I make will go towards the Honda CBR 150 that I am wanting to buy smile.png

Yep, I have the green book and I guess she's in pretty good nick, well apart from that she could do with a dam_n good clean!

Umm, just one more question, but when I find a buyer what happens then, I mean how do we go about transferring names. Do I like just hand over the book, or is there something I need to be doing?

    Thanks again.

quite a few topics in the bike forum about transfer the most recent one is

    http://www.thaivisa....g-off-a-farang/

Basically in selling your bike (greenbook in your name) you will need to give a copy of passport, a copy of current visa page/s and maybe a resident certificate from your local immigration (unless you have a yellow house book, then a copy of that). You might also have to sign a DLT transfer form and DLT power of Attorney form if you are not going to go to the DLT with the new owner.

The DLT forms are in this topic

Thanks for the info, I really appreciate it!

  2. I am actually hoping to sell it at the end of August, because that is when I will have the cash to buy the new bike.

I guess a good way to sell it is using the ThaiVisa.com forum.

Ummm, I wouldn't say it is in outstanding condition. There is no rust, but the exhaust pipe isn't like shiny anymore, looks kind of dull and scratched, but the tank of the bike still looks good (It's a light metallic gold colour.)

  4. Hey there,

I am hoping that someone can help a girl out here, apart from riding a bike I really haven't got a clue about them.

Well, I will be looking to sell my Kawasaki Boss 175cc (in the next couple of months) and was just wondering how much I could ask for it, because I really have no idea. She's gonna be 7 years old next month, only had one owner (me) and she's done just 32,000km. Some guy at my school was like I'll give you between $300-$500, but that seemed a bit low to me, so I asked at the Kawasaki shop how much they would give me for a trade in but they said they weren't interested because of her age. In the last year I have bought a new chain, new shock absorbers, new battery and changed the petrol distributer thingy (I don't know what it is called, but it was leaking and was costing me a fortune in petrol)

    Thanks in advance

  5. My Monthly Packages

    I pay 150 Baht for a package that gives me 30 Hrs GPRS / 300 SMS / 30MMS

Then on top of that I have a 50 HR GPRS package that costs me 200 Baht

Usually, 80 hours is enough, but sometimes if I'm worried it's gonna go over, I'll call them up and get them to add on anpother package for 20 Hrs@100 Baht

and they have no problem doing that at all

  6. Hey there,

I'm a gay girl, i'm 32 years old and i've been living in Bangkok seven years.

I've been with my Thai gf three years and we live together with her two boys and my two dogs....everything's sweet :D

I don't know any other lesbians here in Thailand apart from a few Thai Toms.

I think spotting a Dee here in Thailand is very difficult, but I do I think that a lot of the Thai girls are bi-curious.

I've also seen the lesla website, has anyone actually been to one of their parties???

Sorry, I can't help you much with where to go in the city.

I live in the suburbs and don't get out much, bit of a home girl really.

However, my house never seems to be empty, with friends coming round for a beer or two. :o

So, if you've nothing better to do, you could always grab a beer at mine.

  7. Hello There,

I didn't realise that my Thai gf (at the time) was playing this game, so after we split up I bought her out so that she wouldn't lose the 6000 baht she had already paid.

It was being played in my neighbourhood...and the owner of the game lived opposite me.

There were 21 of us playing, we all had to give the owner of the game 1000 baht, so there was 21,000 baht in the pot.

Once a month, they had a gathering and whoever wanted the pot, had to write on a piece of paper how much interest they would pay for the remainder of the time. The highest bidder then won the pot. The interest some months went as high as 500 baht., although sometimes just 200 baht. Seeing as I wasn't strapped for cash (at that time) I decided to wait till the end.

What should have happened was that I'd get the 21,000 baht plus all the interest from the 20 other players. If the average interest was, lets say 300 baht. Well, I would make 6000 baht interest on top of the 21,000. However, 3 months before this long drawn out game was over, the lady owner left her husband and two children to go live with her new lover and was nowhere to be found.

I did however manage to track her down (with help from her ex) it just so happened that the owner's new boyfriend's sister was the Headmistress at one of the well-known Thai schools and I'd just gotten a job at one of there sister schools.

The owner of the game was now working in their finance office, so I gave her a call.

Of course, she didn't have the money to give me, but then paid me in bits and pieces over the following year. I did get some interest but nothing to what it should have been.

Well, hopefully my post makes sense.

Anyway, in my experience keep away from these type of games, it's not worth the headache.

  8. I just got back at the beginning of the month.

The triple entry was about 3000 Baht and the service fee was 300Baht (I think it was 330 Ringgit) I went through the visa service at the Love Lane Inn Guesthouse. They gave it back to me at 14.30 and I was at the airport by 15.15 ready for my 17.05 flight to Bangkok.

  9. Hello there, I'm hoping that one of you guys/gals could give me some advice.

    I booked Sun 30th April BKK - PEN 13.55

Returning Wed 3rd May PEN - BKK 17.05

However, I've just found out that 1st May is a public holiday...........aaaaaaaarrghh!!!

I've never been to Malaysia before, some of the people in the group are getting Imm B

What time can we pick up our visas?

Do you think we'll be able to make our flight?

What time do we need to be at the airport?

How long does it take to get to the airport from the embassy?

  10. Hello

I'm hoping someone from the forum could help me.

In the last week, I've suffered from three panic attacks.

People at my work are asking me what's wrong with me, but I don't know how to explain it to them.

Does anyone know the Thai word for this?

    Thanks

  11. Yeah you're probably right, having been here almost 6 years it would be pretty stupid of me to mess things up now. However, I think i'll just give myself a couple weeks leeway...

    One more question...

My UK passport has only got 3 blank pages left but expires in 2007. How exactly does the renewing process work. Should I apply for my new passport before doing the visa run, or after??
