How many times have covid extensions been extended? And how long before the end date of the extension did they announce that it would be extended in each time?
I have the same question. My guess is that there's no limit since I haven't heard of anyone being denied. But I could be wrong on that.

If anyone believes Grade 1 - Grade 4 students will all be wearing their masks an hour after flag ceremony is over, I've got a great deal on some swampland for them.

Thanks! That's what I was hoping for.

There are combinations that are dangerous to mix - they find this out through testing - these vaccines are already extremely suspect to begin with and now they are mixing them - seriously

Actually, I'm only hoping for an extenstension so I can stay in Thailand until fully vaccinated (Oct or Nov). I plan to return to the states afterwards.

Please forgive me if this question has been asked before. I looked for a similar post but didn't see a recent one.
My WP expires at the end of September and don't want to travel 17 hours in a plane without being fully vaccinated. My appointment for a second dose is in Bangkok but isn't until October.
Thanks for any info.

One shot of any Vaccine is not going to give any protection against the Delta variant.
But 2 Doses stands a chance.
Can you give a link for that? I haven't read anything that pessimistic about these vaccines.

If you assume the numbers are accurate, then around 1 in 140 Thais have been infected so far.
Which is still significantly less than 1 in 10 in the US or the UK.

The Thai government gambled early on that the the new mRNA vaccines wouldn't pan out so they went all in with AZ.
At the time mRNA's were still unproven (except in animals, where they've been used successfully for several years, from what I understand).
They were wrong on that and now we're all paying the price.

When George W. Bush cut medical research (in 2004) in order to pay for his Iraq Invasion . . I knew.
It's really about the money in America. And anyone who thinks otherwise is nieve.
This is also why an Arab sheik will get world class medical treatment in Boston while an American who lives under a bridge in LA gets to visit an emergency room of an underfunded county hospital and wait for hours in the waiting room. Or a single parent gets three separate bills in the mail for a visit to that same emergency room that lasts only three minutes. Now they have to decide whether to pay the bills or feed their family.

US Embassy is offering free advice at least.
"Stay safe." "Don't fly if you don't have to."

I got through. Jumped through all the hoops. Absolutely no dates available. Says "full" for either vaccine. All dates thru July. I didn't even bother looking past July.

What you missed it that there are no other vaccines available here except the Chinese junk.
Did you just get off a plane?
I seem to recall Thailand received some AZ doses along with the Sinovac awhile back. Maybe you're the one fresh off the plane?

Where does it say the vaccine was Sinovac?

I have very little faith in Thailand's vaccination program but at some point most of the population will have had Covid. I know this is not the desirable way to manage a pandemic but not sure if there is any other way out here? Then again perhaps all the different variants make it impossible without a vaccine?
In the USA, almost 1 in 10 have now been infected by Covid.
That's still a long ways from over 70% needed for herd immunity and that's with over half a million dead.

I always found it interesting that the most qualified foreign teacher at the bilingual school I taught at in Bangkok was also the one that hated teaching (and hated the students, who of course hated her back). She finally moved on to another school.

I worked there for 3 months. It's a real factory and some of the farang teachers backstabbed.
Pretty bad when you have to backstab to keep a job like that.

I wish I had 10 Baht every time I've seen a Thai administrator make a decision that affected their school adversely. I wouldn't have to teach anymore.

500 years later.......Same S*** Different Day
-
I've read several posts here and there seems to be some conflicting information about visa-exempt stamps. The Thaivisa.com website itself simply says it's 30 days now due to the new law.
Is it 14 days or 30 days now for the overland visa-exempt stamp? And is there a limit like there used to be?
Thanks in advance.

Thailand has an amazing variety of temples.....in America we take pilgrimages to look-alike Super Walmart's to get everything we need.
How about the Smithsonian Institute or all the other great museums in the U.S?
A lot of rejects wash up in Thailand who couldn't make it back home. but I still like it here anyway.
Ditto.... ditto.... ditto.... and I am presumably one of those misfits too....
Me too, but that does not mean that I hate where I come from or have to make silly claims about how "terrible" it is. I am happy here and that is good enough.
I never said I hated America (notice I capitalized it for you?).
I only hate Americans who can't take criticism of America. They're the ones who give the rest of us a bad name.

Thailand has an amazing variety of temples.....in America we take pilgrimages to look-alike Super Walmart's to get everything we need.
In Thailand you can go into any pharmacy and get your medicine at a reasonable price......in America we have to first see a doctor for even the most trivial of prescriptions (these people spent a lot of $ on med school, you know).
In Thailand if you accidentally bump into someone, they're likely to say they're sorry even if it's YOUR fault........In America you'd better be careful because that person just might have had a bad day and is looking to take the next person's head off.
In Thailand you can usually feel safe even at night.....in America it's possible to be afraid in some areas of Washington DC even during the daytime.
In Thailand if someone yells out their window as they drive by, it's probably to say HELLO......in America we have rednecks who drive pickup trucks and yell STOP WALKING AND GET A JOB YOU BUM
In Thailand the women don't seem to have something to prove all the time.....in America a woman isn't a real woman unless she's discussing women's lib on the first date (we're all supposed to have causes there or we're not important).
In Thailand the government runs the media.....in America the media is run by conglomerates and 24 hour news organizations who want to sell you things...lots and lots of things.
In Thailand they have neighborhood markets.....in America we now have to get on the highway and drive clear out in the middle of nowhere just to go to a big box store (the same one that ran all the little "mom & pop" stores out of business 3 years ago).
In Thailand the people live so close together, sometimes several in the same room....in America our goal is to move into a gated community where we STILL don't talk to our neighbors because we're so afraid all the time (thanks to the media, who tells us to be afraid all the time).

Try selling food outside a McDonalds in America and see what happens to you.
Step 1) Assistant manager comes out and threatens to call the cops
Step 2) Vendor gives up...ends up living under a bridge somewhere
Step 3) Two people walking their dog see the homeless man, point at him, and comment that if he'd only taken a job at a McDonalds, he would have a place to live.
Moral of the Story: Corporations run the West, control the media, and elect presidents. The manager of the McDonalds isn't going to get his big screen TV bonus at the end of the year if he doesn't sell enough food so don't stand in his way. Start flipping burgers or get out of the way.

I'm always amazed at the number of tourists who will travel halfway around the world in order to be with others like themselves at a bar or full moon party.
