  1. I was in Berkeley, Ca for Sunday breakfast at the Thai temple there and stopped by "Tuk-Tuk" market afterwards. There's a black 2008 Ninja 250 parked in their parking lot (regularly) and it was gorgeous. Really does look like a bigger bike until you look under the plastic.

It redlines at 14,000 rpm and from what I have read, the powerband doesn't really even kick in until 9,000 so sedate at lower rpm for city commuting, fun when you want it.

There's been a couple of recalls. The rear light bulb that was mentioned earlier, as well as a break line bracket and an air box fix

When I make my move to the LoS, I'd love to have one of these and a four door truck and I'll be 'set' for transportation...

  2. It sounds very close to the business model used by 24 hour fitness and a lot of other gyms. They always build, oversell, and count on the fact that many people will either pay and not use, or drop out. How well that works in a more finance conscious ex-pat environment remains to be seen.

When I joined 24 hour in the USA I paid 2 or 3 years up front (I forgot exactly) and it's $20 a year for life after the first couple years ran out. It was special as a pre-sale to a local gym that they were opening and was limited. At the same time if you walked into a 24 hour fitness center just 5 miles away they would have been wanting 29 - 39 dollars per month.

The whole thing seems same-same (but different :D) so buyer beware :o

  3. He dived in "on the second day he loved her to the ends of the earth" without looking. The red flags were there and he ignored it. I know it's an old story with a thousand (ok more than a thousand faces) faces, but still 99.999whatever% is very harsh.

Hopefully time will heal him and he can perhaps edit his web page before he has too many regrets. (karma)

  4. I'm sorry for the slow reply. I haven't logged on this site for a little while.

I got it from Ajarn Anek in Chonburi about 30 minutes out of the tourist area of Pattaya.

His number is 089-822-6515. It's advised to check to see how busy he is before you go. He has a driver if you need one to come and get you. The driver will stop off at a 7-11 to let you pick up the cigarettes and energy drink part of the donation.

I didn't realize how clear my sakyant was until I started looking more at other work.

If you guys haven't found www.sak-yant.com, it's a wonderful resource.

The one at the top of the back is Maha Yant Phra Chao 5 Phra Ong or The Great Script of 5 Buddhas. It is protective in nature.

The sides, I'm told are helpful in business. The one on the wrist is also protective in nature, but different.

I've had two cases where Thai men upon seeing the amulet and my wrist made the same motion, one of the deflected bullet with their finger. One was in Pattaya, the other in California. It's interesting how far that travels and that people recognize it so quickly.

  5. I know that this has been stated, but please before anyone gets a yant, make sure to understand the rules that go with it and be prepared to live with them. It is said that neglecting this, is to invite chaos into your life.

Here's my yant. I'm planning to continue the back next time I am in Thailand.

With the yants, Ajarn Anek gave me the amulet below. I went to a shop to have it encased right away.

The process to apply the tattoo was traditional and the work was freehand after making a frame with a regular pen.
