Russia ups its game in the competition to be the hub of 90 day reporting. Let's hope Thai Immigration don't hear about it.

There's no weblink to any new Entry Thailand website in the OP report...
And in the OP, one part says the new platform has been "launched," while a later reference says it's "being developed."
Ahh... but it does exist... in all its glory:

Am I correct in assuming that everyone 90-day-reporting online owns a printer? Otherwise, how does one get the slip of paper into their passport --- or is this not required when reporting online?
The confirmation slip is emailed to you as a pdf file. I save it to my phone.

I have been unable to use the online system or the app since I got a new passport 2½ years ago. First I was told I had to make one report in person and then it would work - it didn't. Then I was told I had to leave the country and make one report in person and then it would work - it didn't. I have tried the app and four different browsers without success, so I have been making in-person reports right through the Covid pandemic (I didn't fancy risking the snail mail option).
I registered for the new system when it was announced on Thai Visa the other day, the process was clear, simple and quick. Yesterday I successfully submitted my report in the morning (using Chrome), also very straightforward, and received my confirmation in the late afternoon.
The most amazing thing is that after 20 years of constantly having to provide more documents and information than in the previous year for the same process at Immigration, the new system REDUCES the requirements! The form no longer requires your TM6 number, the mode of transportation by which you entered Thailand, your flight number or equivalent, your type of visa, and the date to which you are permitted to stay. I can only hope that if this crazed reduction in bureaucracy doesn't cause the collapse of Thai civilisation in, say, the next six months, they might consider extending the approach to other processes. Imagine no longer having to provide 20 pages of photocopies of documents that they already have from every previous year's application to extend your permission to stay...

A very similar thing happened me yesterday in Bangkok. My wife was told over the phone that I needed a residence letter from my embassy or immigration or the district office. We got the one from the district office, free and much easier to get to than immigration and they give it to you immediately.
When we got to the DLT they said that if I used that letter, I would be issued with a licence that is only valid in Bangkok.
For anyone applying for the letter at Bangkok immigration, note that you have to go to the 90 day building at Muang Thong Thani, not Chaengwattana. As we found out when we got to Chaengwattana. I also did not receive a receipt.

For at least three days now there has been a giant gas flare burning over Klong Toey port. We live miles away and it's clearly visible day and night. We don't remember seeing it before and it is quite noticeable. Does anyone know what it is?

They should report that the bikers are giving three fingered salutes and reading 1984, thus ensuring that 20,000 coppers with water cannon arrive immediately

If their completely China biased response to the pandemic wasn't enough to make me doubt their usefulness, the appointment of Anutin as the Regional Director for Southeast Asia would. I cannot understand why the UK is giving them so much money. They should bring back Gro Harlem Brundtland, she was the last competent Director General.

Assuming you have both phones, install Authenticator on the new phone then use the export accounts function in Authenticator on the old phone to generate a QR code that you scan with the import accounts function in Authenticator on the new phone. If you have many accounts, it might generate 2 or 3 QR codes. This is for Android, apologies if the Authenticator app on Apple is different.

I had to read this twice because I was convinced I must have misunderstood it. It is unbelievable.
Prior to this, I disagreed with Trump's taking America out of the WHO, but now I think he was probably correct.

Thank you so much! I've been banging my head on the wall in Chrome. I imported the same Excel file in IE11 and it worked perfectly.

For the last few days, every time I open a page on the forum, a blank box appears called "vdo.ai". It's only on Thai Visa not any other websites, so I don't think it's a virus. It has an "x" in the corner to close it, but it's still very annoying. I'm using chrome on android. Does anyone else have this problem?

After we sealed our windows, we found that the CO2 levels were far too high (over 3,000 ppm our bedroom in the morning) so we had to install ERVs as well. You need a monitor that measures CO2 as well as particles. We use an Air Visual Pro, but I'm sure there are many alternatives.

Went to Central Food Hall yesterday (taking my reusable bags as I always do), all they have done is stopped giving out free plastic bags, now they charge 1 baht per bag, I can't see that making much difference, someone with 2,000 baht of shopping seems unlikely to care about another 5 baht for some bags.

Diswasher tablets are expensive here
Try the Homestar powder and rinse aid (and salt) from HomePro, they work just as well as the expensive imported products and are much cheaper.

Has anyone been to the NASA - A Human Adventure exhibition at Central Lad Prao?
Is it mostly aimed at children or adults? Is it worth going for someone who is interested in spaceflight?

Just in case anyone else is having a problem uploading their documents, I was unable to upload my documents in pdf format but it worked when I changed them to jpg. I'm using the Chrome browser.
