    I have now bought a 72 day return ticket with Thai Airways (LHR-BKK) so I will be dealing with them at check-in, or whoever they employ to check in their passengers. Anyone with experience of Thai check-in at Heathrow?

    If I arrive at bkk in December and get a 45 day 'visa exempt' stamp, am I then guaranteed to be able to get a 30 day extention? If the answer is yes, is it therefore safe to turn up at LHR or Gatwick having bought a ticket that returns me 75 days later?
