Hi,
If a high school hires native English teachers through a teacher agency , I am wondering who has responsibility for checking the validity of their B.A degree& academic record , the school, the agency or Ministry of Educaiton.

Hi,
May I ask for information?
I enrolled in a thai language school and received 2 sets of documents to get ED visa. The one is for a Thai embassy outside Thailand, the other for an Immgration office in Thailand.
I am going to submit the one set to Thai embassy in Laos. When should I go to bring the other set to an immigration office? And can I submit it to any immigration office in Thailand?
I asked the school staff, but she did not know the answer.
Photo sized 3cm×4cm is Ok for the application?
Best regards

How about Samsung Jet S8003 (aka S8000)?
The below is taken from http://www.mobilestopic.com/reviews/samsung/s8000-jet.html
Samsung resents a new touchscreen mobile phone, Samsung Jet S8003 (S8000). Powered by a 800MHz application processor, the Jet runs the TouchWiz 2.0 UI. It has 3.1-inch AMOLED touchscreen and a 5 Megapixel auto-focus camera with dual LED flash, face detection, Smile Shot, Panorama Shot, Blink Detection, Geo-tagging, and Photo Editor.
The multimedia-oriented Samsung S8000 Jet sports a 3.1-inch AMOLED touch display with WVGA resolution and 16 million colors.
Some of the other highlight features of Samsung S8000 Jet include a 5 megapixel autofocus camera, built-in GPS, 3G support and Wi-Fi as well as DivX and XviD video support. FM radio with RDS and 2GB internal memory expandable via microSD slot are also onboard the Samsung S8000 Jet. A powerful 800 MHz CPU will make sure that the performance doesn't disappoint.
The audiophiles will appreciate the fact that Samsung S8000 Jet comes complete with a 3.5mm audio jack and will features DNSe & SRS Sound Effect technology which should provide for great sound quality.
Check out our Samsung S8000 Jet preview for our first impressions of the handset.
Introduction:
Devices with awesome multimedia capabilities have been all the rage in the mobile world lately. Samsung has taken over the competition with their blitzkrieg introduction of the OMNIA HD i8910i. Now the manufacturer needs to put a more affordable device on the table, since not everyone is willing to shell out an amount equal to the gross military spending of a small European democracy over such a thing as cell phone, even if this happens to be the ultimate move to watch the next Miss Universe contest with stunning quality. This is exactly the market niche Samsung is targeting with the Samsung Jet S8000, initially known as the Cubic. It comes with new version of the TouchWiz interface that is all about a 3D cube that, truth be told, brings the LG ARENA KM900 to mind the second you see it. Although it is not a smartphone, Samsung touts it to be smarter than one, with multitasking, Microsoft Exchange support and a fast 800MHz processor.Let´s go over its design and overall look first.
Design:
Even if the unit we have got our hands on is not a final, retail one, we simply must say this is one of the most polished pieces of workmanship by Samsung we have ever had the pleasure to behold. Most similar devices, i.e. ones with huge touch sensitive screens, tend to have rather nondescript faces with the only exception being the Samsung BEAT DJ M7600, due to its oddish overall shape. The front side of the Samsung Jet S8000 houses a beautiful 3.1-inch display with 16 mln colors and WVGA resolution, send and end buttons and a key with prismatic shape. The latter is used to enter the main menu, while holding it pressed calls up the multitasking interface on screen. It´s also half transparent and the particular way it reflects light is quite an eye catcher.

Osel's new message from http://www.fpmt.org/Teachers/Osel/ June 2009
Dear Friends,
It is important to have a good experience of what life is. I have been really lucky to be able to experience both western and eastern cultures and I am so grateful to everyone who has helped me in both cultures. In combination, being in India and the West has been a rich experience that I’ve been privileged to absorb from both sides.
There were times in India when it was hard to accept the destiny. Being treated differently, and feeling apart. But that experience was really good and I so appreciate it.
However, certain media find ways to sensationalize and exaggerate an unusual story. So I hope that what appears in news print is not read and taken too literally. Don't believe everything that is written!
Experience shows that however hard one tries in interviews to sincerely and honestly convey key information, the printed result can tend towards sensationalism to get the most attention.
FPMT is doing a great job and Lama Zopa is an immensely special person - very inspiring and a great yogi.
Personally, my job is to find new ways in which to discover the true nature of our being. There is no separation between myself and FPMT - we are all working together in so many aspects and terrains. Humanity is our office. Besides, I don’t really qualify very much in Buddhist studies, because I didn’t finish them, so working together is the clue.l
So I’m trying to find a different way for this future generation. One of the ways is through music, movies and audio-visual techniques. In a movie you can condense so many different stories. You can put in music, you can put in different situations and messages. Even just the sunset can be enough to give you peace to find a moment of meditation in yourself. There are so many different millions of possibilities in movies. And not just movies, but documentaries actually going somewhere and interviewing people who may have reached a level on their path where they are at peace with themselves, and so much more....!!!
That’s kind of what I’m planning to do. But it is one thing is to plan and another for things to actually happen. So we’re back to mental projections. But for now, that’s what I am hoping to do.
Big Love
Osel

Hi,
An interesting film on the related topic seems to come soon.
"Tulku is a documentary film about young people caught between the modern culture they were born into and the ancient Tibetan Buddhist culture from which they were reborn. They are Western tulkus ‐ all of them recognized when they were children as reincarnations of great Tibetan Buddhist masters. Filmmaker Gesar Mukpo is one of them. In this film, he sets out to meet others like him ‐ young people struggling between modern and ancient, East and West."
quoted from http://www.nfb.ca/film/tulku_trailer/
There, you can watch the trailer too.

The other day, I opened a bank account at kasikorn bank without work permit and also got ATM card which has Privileged Member visa card on it,saying "ELECTRONIC USE ONLY". But there is not my name on the card.
I am planning to travel to other Asean country for a week or so. I am just qurious about if I can use the Privileged member visa card for online hotel reservation/payment of other country as long as my deposit is enough for the payment ?
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
I am a buddhist and I try to keep 5 precepts in daily life.
The other days, I found a few ants walking on my new notebook computer. Some come in and out of it .
What should be done so that I can keep them away from my computer ?

It has been confirmed by various phone calls that all immigration offices are asking for teacher's license or temporary teacher's license when processing extensions of non-B visa's based upon teaching.
It's about time that people started taking this license thing a bit more serious, as after a little research I have discovered no license no visa.
What about extensions of non-O visa based on marriage of a farang teacher who got work permit for teaching but does not have the teacher's license ?

Hi,
Let me ask queston on motorcycle insurance
My thai gf just bought a honda icon with 2 year insurance at a honda motorcycle dealer shop. The insurance is 2000 bath. When buying , she asked the salesman for the insurance's brochure
He asked his co-worker and said" we do not have the brochure"
Then she asked him what she should do and where she should call if she have an accident.
He said " just come here to my shop !"
He told her that the insurance covers for theft and property damage. 100% of the motorcycle value for its theft in the first year ,and 80% in the second year etc.
She got 2 pcs of receipt , one for the mortorcycle and the other is for the insurance.
In general, we should call an insurance company's emergency number soon after an traffic accident, right?
What more info should she get from the dealer?
Any advice welcom.
Best wishes
First point - if you have paid for insurance then you should have the Policy - suggest you go back to the Dealer and explain you need to know what you are covered for (in writing). The policy will come with the "Help Line" to call if a problem.
Shouild you have a problem then 'yes', call the insurance company at once.
Thanks so much for your help.
Best wishes

Thanks a lot for your kindness !
You have to buy the modem for either ~7000 or ~11,000 depending on the model. The unlimited plan is BHT 799/month or ~850/month including taxes.
There are other limited plans but they have very low limits and are not that much cheaper so it doesn't make a lot of sense to get them...
Hi Everyone,Let me ask a question.
Should I subscribe to CAT in order to use CDMA EV-DO ? How does CAT charge the user?
If so, what packages are there ? How much do they cost?
Thanks for your attention.
