Thanks for all the inputs above.
I guess one would have to look at the availability of a work permit for 'alternative therapist', though I don't know off hand if that is viable. Further, to be clear, the Thai law states that any activity, whether paid or unpaid, physical or mental, can be construed as work and therefore requires a permit so to do. One possibility might be a liaison with a good quality spa, which might then assist in the application for a permit on the basis that the practitioner was providing a service not available within the Thai healing community.Regards
Do you or someone else know where on the net I can read the "Thai Law" in English?

There is no work permit for foreign "healers".
His getting money from his healing job in Thailand is illegal ?

Hi,
Any advice welcome.
My korean friend who is a healer would like to settle in Thailand.
He is wondering which visa permits him getting money from practiseing his healing in Thailand. Need WP?
Now He stay in Thai with 90 Day Visa Exemption. Apart from making a living by healing, he ,as a south korean, can renew the 90 Day Visa Exemption whenever he leaves and re-enter thailand.
He has a thai fiancee and is thinking to get married with her in a year or so.
The healing is a kind of magnetic threapy based on theory of TCM(traditional chinese medicine). It does not use massage.

On the premium package 2mbps/1mbps international download speeds are normally over 1500 kbps.
On the 4 mbps/1mbps, international speeds are normally in excess of 3000 kbps.
No experience with the corporate bizpaq symmetrical package.
They also have a premium symmetrical 2 mbps/2mbps package (at 2850 Baht/month) where uploads are quite fast at around 1500 kbps...
Do note the "normally" prefix. I've found CAt to be quite stable, but they also have problems sometimes with speeds dropping to below 500 kbps.
Thanks a lot for your valuable info.
Do you think if the 4mbps/1mbps Premium Hinet package and the 2mbps/2mbps Bizpaq (SHDSL) package are speedy and stable enough for international telephone reception service or international call centre via internet phone such as skype ?
The phonecall is between Japan and Thailand.
Short answer: yes
Long answer: average latency is 300-400ms (to Europe), packet-loss is less than 0.5% average (2 short peaks of 8% over the last month). Remember that bandwidth is not the important factor in VoIP, latency and packet-loss are!
Thanks a lot for your kindness!!

>Why do the South Koreans get it so good?
The below is from http://www.mfa.go.th/web/2482.php?id=2490
<quote>
(****)Thailand holds bilateral agreements on visa exemption for holders of diplomatic, official and ordinary passports for a visit of not exceeding 90 days with Brazil, the Republic of Korea and Peru. Therefore, nationals of these 3 countries are exempted from visa requirements and are permitted to enter and stay in Thailand for a period of not exceeding 90 days.

You (South Korea) are not subject to the 90 days in six month rule. You can stay as long as you are stamped for and you can continue to do so.
Wow! lopburi3 ,Thanks a lot for your reply !
May I ask if I can read any official souce backing it up on the web?

Hi, I am a South Korean at the age of 40.
I entered Thailand on Nov 29 2007 and left it for my country on Jan 10 2008, which means I stayed in Thailand for 43 days with 90 Day Visa Exemption.
Then, I re-entered Thailand on Feb 19 2008. The stamp on my passport given by the immigration officer at Suvarnabhumi Airport says " Admitted unitll 18 May 2008".
I thought I could stay in thailand for more 47 days with the initial 90 Day Visa Exemption, but the immigration gave me the second 90 Day Visa Exemption.
I am confused. Until when I can stay in Thailand? Is there no problem if I stay in thailand untill 18 May 2008? Or should I leave Thailand untill 5 April 2008 which is 47 days from my second entery into thailand)
Any advice welcom

in IT and Computers
Posted
Hi everyone.
I have canon pixma mp140. The ink cartridges are PG-40 or PG-830 for black print ,and CL-41 or CL-831 for color print.
I am considering to buy external inktanks for the cartridges. I hear it costs for both black and color cartridges about 2000bath.
Anyone uses external inktanks for PG-40,PG-830 CL-41 or CL-,831?
Any feedbacks and advice are welcome
