  1. Some times we can misinterpret, what some one is saying or suggesting,,, Remember a few years back when a Topic, and Discussion got way out of hand,, and a poster was requesting the other poster to (PM him),, so they could meet and sort it out,, I was new to the internet at the time,, I thought what does this (PM) mean,, so I looked it up,,, And whoa and behold,, There was me thinking he was looking for a fight, and wanted the other poster to PM him, and set up a meeting,,, when in fact he was looking for a Prostate Massage smile.png

  2. I have 2 at my house,, and i think they look pretty cool,, they are nice in color and a fair size on them,, when people come around for a few beers,, and they show their faces,, guest are pleased to see them,,, PS,, Any one know of a good spray which will work on some of the Wife's family members? biggrin.png

  3. Give Buriram a swerve....its a dive with no nightlife of any consequence. Trying to pull is nigh on impossible. Go to Udon...at least you can get a bit.

There used to be a nice Chippy in udon,, you could get your self a nice bit of fish and chips smile.png

Give me Udon any day of the week,,,far more bars to choose from,, not to sure if MR tongs is still open,, Ive not been for a couple of years,,, thats where you willk find the HiSo birds thumbsup.gif

  4. What some peoole say, should be taken with a pinch of salt and a shot of tequila ... Remember years ago when I was in school and was confronted by bullys,,, I said to them, sticks and stones will break my bones, but names will never harm me,,, and from that day onwards,,, it was sticks and stones for me, for the rest of my school days biggrin.png

  5. Steve.. What do u pay for your health cover?

Does it cover private hospital dr visits?

I pay about 27,000 Baht, which pretty much covers everything,, Room in a private hospital, doctors fees, medication ETC,, you could have a lower cover, if you wanted, but then you would find the cover, would fall short in what you are entitled too,, Meaning a lower cover, you might only get 1500baht towards a room for the night,so much towards doctors fees, and so much towards medication, ETC,,,Most of the private hospital rooms start from 2100 baht a night, add to that doctors and medication,, you might find you have to dip into your own pocket..

    Best Regards

    Steve

  6. It don't matter if your younger, older, or a happy friendly teacher, it want make the students listen any more,,,, some want to listen and learn, and then there're some who simply don't, and that's the way it goes.

Regarding, the age for teachers, then it all depends, where you're looking for work,, If you're looking for work in and around a big city, then schools tend to have far more choices of teachers to choose from, so they tend to advertise. 25 - 45. and they tend to get teachers in that age bracket.

If on the other hand you're looking for work, a little further out in the sticks, then they still advertise for teachers from 25- 45, but they want get many applicants, so they will end up getting a teacher,, from 25 - 65

And like you said,, Its best to be a friendly teacher. students love a friendly teacher smile.png

I'm all for the smoking area too,, but lets make the place where they sell Cider, the number 1 priority thumbsup.gif

  8. There's a saying that "behind every great man there is a great women"....

I having always taken that to mean that the man may bluster and talk big but quietly on the side he listens to his wife....

    Happy wife ...Happy life

QUOTE,,,,,There's a saying that "behind every great man there is a great women"

corrected ,,"behind every great man there is a great women",, and behind her is another great man looking at her ASS

The classic was 3 big bottles of Chang for 100 baht. Chang demolished Singha with that marketing ploy.

I remember when Chang was first introduced in the mid 90's, it was 18 baht for a big bottle so we were getting 5 x bottles for 100 baht. This was an aggressive (and very successful) sales drive by the brewery.

It stayed at 18 baht for quite a long time, when I left Pattaya in 1999, the price had risen sharply to 22 baht for a big bottle.................rolleyes.gif

Edit: It was the only beer in Thailand that ever gave me a 'chemical' hangover. However, in their favour, it was not the reason why I gave up alcohol in 1999.

Dont remember them changs being that price,,, But that probaly explains why i was stumbling around pattaya,,falling asleep, wetting my pants and eyeing up lady boys in the 90s,,, than God i dont drink Chang any more biggrin.png
