  1. :o:Di agree with you.the gentlemen should wait at least 1 year,my question is the original poster said that his gf owned the rest, but her friend owned 50%??? who really owns the rest?

    thanks

keep your money in england..do not buy into her business..if you want to give her the money..since not much..give it to her to buy the girl out as cheap as possible..and let her pay for everything with the other 50% she will be getting.. and see if things change..now that she has an extra 250 a month..i do not trust anyone in thailand anymore..and i learned the hard way.
  2. :o contact your embassy here as soon as possible, also goto the immigration desk at the hospital

where you had your operation. my prayers go with you and all those suffering. regards, an american[/b]

If someone know and can help me to stay in Bangkok, Thailand, please advise me quickly and help me. I am a myanamr who came to Bangkok on 12 March 2008 to take the treatment for health. I took the opreation in Chularongkon Hospital on 30 April. So, I extent my visa to next 30 days. But i don't want to go back home. I am very afraid about my country condition. I am also a disabled person. So, who can help me?

I am looking forward anything help as soon.

  3. :o for what it is worth, you father should name you as power of attorney, also consider a

living will. maybe your father can get a atm card??[/b]

Actually, that was suggested by my friendly bank clerk, but I was wondering about the legality of that. Now, it is seeming that I should obtain a power of attorney for his affairs because of the new immigration regulations requiring retirees to swear on an affidavit their pension income. I'll post separately for info on Thai POA.

    Thanks for your input.....

  4. :D I agree about public executions, if people can hear the charges and see the execution,

    maybe they will think twice.

    mrsmith[/b]

NICE ONE,IF GUILTY HOPE THEY GET THE CHOP !!!!!! :o

I agree! These people will never learn!! There needs to be public ot televised executions to get the point across that drug trafficking carries the death sentence! You can't pussyfoot around this issue, it needs to be stamped on the mind of 'would be' drug smugglers!

If only the UK adopted the same, maybe that would deter all the Yardies' drug mules!

    :D

  5. :o hello alittle advice for those planning to marry; get a prenuptial agreement made.

don't destroy the house, just cut it in half and destroy your half. this was done in california several years ago,and when the police ,came the gentleman gave them proof the he owned half, and was only destroying his half. he was not arrested.end of story.

maybe you should look into how she came by the other properties. may she has pulled the same stunt many times. if you can obtain proof, you can present the evidence in court.

What would be the best advice I can give a very nice man who is about to throw his life savings away on some tart who has persuaded him to buy her a house. She won't marry him (wonder why ...?), claims kid's his but Thai man's name on birth cert (yawn). 30 year lease orrrrrrr, usufruct. Dear God, some of you, really ...

hello excuse me if im wrong but i dont think OP was persuaded to buy her a house ,i think he made the choice thru what he believed to be love(at the time.....and they did last 5 years so maybe love or she thought she could squeeze more out of him over time).he also didnt say she wouldnt marry him,he just said they werent married, maybe he didnt want to marry.i also dont think she claimed child was his as hes only been with her aprox 5 years and her daughter is an adult!!!

i am worried that he didnt wonder why she had so much property/land already.....this is a big clue to her greed as im sure was not bought by her,but maybe im wrong.

im sure she may have been to court previously and won all the properties she has ,which is why she may not give up easily although im sure she dont like spending money on a lawyer and travelling so it is god you dont just give up as thats what she will be hoping for.good luck

Oh, I do apologise, I was just piggybacking off this thread as I was too idle to start my own. But as there seem to be so many of you having gone through similar situations, thought one of you might be able to let me know what advice to give to another man about to embark on the a similar course of action, albeit without the benefit of marriage, (which, as I understand it would allow for a 50/50 split). I think if you read my post carefully again, sans beer chang next to keyboard, it will become clearer to you.

  6. :o an additional note; these can be used with flat or angled roofs. they come with their own roof

panel-just replace one of your existing roof panels.[/b]

:D hi there is a company called atco www.atco.co.th that makes exactly what you want.they have different sizes. we are planing to put several on house in roi-et in sept

    hope this helps. mr smith[/b]

I just put a motorised roof ventilator on my house in Sydney and the difference in inside temperature is amazing.

I would like to put one in my house in Thailand, just wind powered, no motor. I have only seen large industrial types. They would be OK but I think they are only suitable for flat roofs.

    Anyone have expierience with these?

  8. "I'm an American who has read and heard about the Thai girls and to not buy anything unless consulting a lawyer and wait a while first, like a year or more..."

I'm sure that the reason that you didn't form a company to buy a home to keep it in your name, was that someone told you that the government might take your home away from you. That has never happened to a farang. Ever. Instead you choose to put the house in your Gf's name which absolutely guarantees that you'll lose your home. Excellent.

I did form a company and the money was used from the company account to pay for the land and house. I know this will take a long time to get resolved and I appreciate everyones comments. Yes she will have a story to tell to protect her right to ownership as the the Thai court has issued us both 50% of the property. She has commited adultry and purgered herself in court as well as other issues including stealing items from the home without my permission, yes I did file a Police report and I will get police approval/protection before I bulldoze the place.

i hope you video it and tkae before and after pics,we want to see!!!

  9. Thanks, I was told they were B15 ea, but that is probably the old price. Any idea how many panels would be needed for a 10m x 10m roof area?

Fireproving is a good suggestion, although what we're thinking about would be quite similar to the bungalow pictured, except without the tiled floor. There would be 2 sealed rooms and are large open area with no walls, only roof.

an easy and inexpensive way to fire proof is to use a solution of borax and water. the borax

is used as a laundry detergent. try 1 part water to 2 parts borax. soak thoroughly and allow to dry

can be used on clothes too.

    hope this helps,mr smith
