I don't know if, according to the law, all "7-11" shops should stop selling alcohol after midnight, but some of them apply the law stickly, and stop selling any kind of alcohol after midnight (khaosan road for example), maybe because the police is not far...?

with "tourist visa" do you mean a 30-day entry stamp w/o visa? in this case there won't be enough time left on your stay in TH to process the PP application.

Otherwise every 'western' embassy, incl. the French one, does issue new passports or extends the validity of one unless you are on a CERTAIN list issued by the French authorities.

You're wrong, ... not the french one:

-they issue new passports only if you are registered as living officialy in thailand

(even if it is against the french law...)

-they never extend the validity of your passport

-they issue an emergency passport, with 6 months of validity, but only in,exceptional cases they don't give the list...

(and what the use of this f*c*i*g passport if you can't go anywhere whith less than 6 months of validity!!!?)

to you in Bangkok.

The British Embassy does so - without any

hassle on production of your existing Passport.

Otherwise maybe your Embassy can extend the

validity of your Current Passport.

Yes, but something you must know, is that the passport officer at the french embassy is a BIG ######!

So, impossible to get a new passport, and not even a temporary passport, if you come to Thailand with a tourist visa!

But now it seems sure that Thailand accept people with at least 3 months validity passport, but I still dont know for malaysia, or cambodia.

If I apply for my visa on thursday 15th in the morning (9-12 am), will I for sure be able to collect it on friday afternoon (2-4 pm) ?

I mean, no risk to have to stay in Penang until the next monday 19th? It never takes more than 1 day to get this tourist visa?

I searched for the post but I didn't find it anymore, but could you confirm that I can ask this VISA SERVICE at my hotel?

And do it before it gets down to six months as replacement passport has to be issued in USA now and most countries will not accept travel with a passport that has less than six months remaining.

She said i should pay something but it was up to me how much.

After a long chat we come to a sum of 60,000baht which i would pay.

The strange thing is a few days before sitting around the house her mum started talking in Thai pointing at me and and then the land behind her house,i asked my TGF wot mum was talking about and she told me that when we marry all this land will be mine!!.Well i was shocked to say the least,this is prime building land 2 minutes walk to large lake.A few days before i had bought some land up the road less than half the size for 75,000baht(bought the land under my TGF name)so thinking about it now 60,000baht isnt that much of a price to pay.

How can you say this land will be yours when as soon your wife tells you BYEBYE, you know you can tell BYEBYE to the land as well...

But maybe you sold it right away after the family gave it to you, to get back your 60000 thb ?
