Its nice to see that Thailand is a perfect example of Buddhist Teaching. They need to start making examples of Thai people in some of the western countries...The same rules should abile. oversta until you can get the money to fly home. It is unfortunate that all these negative epsiodes should go unpublished in international news papers, with big sign that says warning stay out thailand, with all the reasons why. Spend your money elsewhere.

The Thai police probably have a pretty good record of catching people. I don't think it will take them too long. Obviously he made someone angry enouth to do that.

Most of the electrical wiring I have seen in many places is "jerry rigged". I do not think there are any building codes, but if there are, brown envelops put in hands of any inspectors if there inspectors bipass the building codes.
There is a guest house called Sweety's Guest House in Khao San road that looks like a wiring nightmare. The owner hasn't sunk any money into that building since Buddha himself
walked the earth. If there ever was a fire there, it would no doubt be cause by very old electrical wiring. It is a serious mangle of old wiring held together by electrical tape; old electrical
tape.

I think they left out a 1 other requirement having sufficient reserve and a stack of brown enevelops.

Thai Embassies and Consulates abroad to be stricter with requirements when applicants are applying for Tourist visas for Thailand.
Does this apply to "Visa Exempt" entry also?
What happens if the tourists are staying with friends?
or indeed leaving over a land border by bus?

A couple of days ago I read that Thailand was trying to change it's image from being known as the sex captial of the world by eliminating prostitution. It seems to me that their priorities are backwards. Land Fraud, police fraud, attorney fraud. Behind the fluff of a modern infrastructue, sky trains, subways, big malls, etc. It is still a 3rd world country. Corruption here will never go away.
ps
even the new woman priminster is facing charges from the security exchange commision here...ain't that a laugh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ad infinetum. They can't change and thats the bottom line. There is no ifs ands or buts about it. You have to remember always you are a Foreigner with absolutely no rights.
At least in the western world there is the rule of law. it may not be perfect, but its a dam sight better than what you get here.
-
Now thats why the Thai people call it the " Land of Smiles." Everytime they see a foreigner, there brain goes ka ching, ka ching ka ching...coz they know they can get away with it, coz the cops will never do anything about it...ka ching ka ching ka ching mar mak.

Cesspool by the Seaside would probably have been a better choice...
-
Only a name change but rest assured that will everything will retmain the same..pehaps more unsolved murders, bar girls by the score. The mayor has a great sense of Humor!!!
-
Hell any Bar Girl at Nana, Pattaya, or Soi Cowboy would be perfect for the Foreign Ministers position, Excuse the
pun, but I think they would do a "Bang" up job.

It never ceases to amaze me the lengths thai people will go to steal...The people who did the strip searches must have been very impressed delighted too,

Actually one of the Universities here should be offering a course on how to ripp tourists off at the airport. How to operate a tuk tuk and cheat the tourists...Crime 101 would be the tentative name for the course.

Criminals seem to run for government and seem to get elected, so what differnce does it make. The more criminals the merrier. "birds of a feather flock together." The bottom line is there is money in crime...When we were kids, they would say, "crime dosen't pay." But in a country that has criminals of cops, and criminals in public office...., "the medium is the message" I would say that crime pays pretty darn good.

I didn't know Thailand had a Mental Health Department. They must have all been kept in a Rubber Room all these years!

The 3G is fast no doubt...the question is when will they have full coverage in Bangkok.

Key Notation: When Children cannot settle things or people are too imature to settle things, the Court has to make the decision....Children is the key world here.

Surely you people can find something much better to write about than this crap. Its beginning to read like the Enquirer New Paper and the Star Magazines....
-
It is highly unlikely the police will find anyone. And I do agree that unless pressure (putting the policemens testicles in a vice for example) is applied no serious investigation will take place. Thailand has a bad reputation, most of which is their own doing.

It dosne't look like the Thai Governement will be joining the rest of the world community anytime within the next century. whoops I forgot this is a Buddhist country. Now what are the 5 Major Precepts again...
1. No Killing or harm to anyone or anything.
2. No Stealing.
3. No Lying for any reason including the aim to extort money fraudulently. Hmmm!
4, No use of alcohol or any mind alterning substances.
5. No sexual relations outside the cultural norms of Society.
Has Thailand ,which claims to be a quote unquote "Buddhist" country flunked the test.?
You decide!

Aliens wow! Now what planet do you think the Thais are from? Where did they come from? hmmmm! Were the Thais born with this kind of mentality or did they go to a University and earn a degree in it.
It looks like any 3 G won''t be here any time soon; let alone 4 G and with the next generation 5 G on the horizon; it becomes a very dusty road in Thailand with all their said stories. Doesn't it make you just want to cry......

Those Bad Backs come from all that Boinking!

It never ceases to amaze me why crowds of thai people stand directly in front of the doors than on the sides which are clearly marked, trying to rush in while people are trying to get out.
