My wife received her letter of invite to attend the ceremony it only took four weeks to be approved. The first time she arrived in the UK was on March 6 2006 on a Tourist visa giving her the 3 year qualifying period from first entering the UK.

You would need to post the full refusal , you have given everyone little or no information as to why they have been refused.

They generally use a shield i believe however you may get the test done now as its valid for up to 6 months.

UK visa applications do not require a criminal record check to enter the country perhaps you should read the guidance. As for a criminal record check some jobs in the UK do a full background check should you be successful at the interview.

The Thai Embassy London renew it for her then you can send her new passport to get the visa transferred into new passport.
