  1. Can't blame him if you look at the history, same goes for the Irish and many other countries that suffered a lot under the English occupation. ???? I'm originally from across the chanel and the UK football supporters (hooligans) have a bad reputation and are not liked as well.
  2. He is talking about manufactures. Yes, they have a good reputation and produce for export only. I know where one factory is located as I cycled in that area a lot I don't have any contact information. I think it is the one that he knows about. Don't know of any wholesaler, that factory most have a good customers base and does not use (need) a wholesaler.
  3. You forgot the 0 and don't forget deportation afterwards.
  4. Being rich is not a crime. Yet even the top of the communist parties have more luxurious items and properties than a normal capitalist can afford. If the good are used and for personal use during a holiday than the customs should stay out of it. Yet another government department with a very high corruption rate that tries to scam the people.
  5. There are laws about that too. Unless he pointed the gun at the police officer the reaction can not be called self defence.
  6. The kids made a traffic violation and should be fined accordingly. The police officers should be fired and jailed after going to court. The yought should sue them. I don't like punks but I'm disgusted with the behavior of the Thai police on a daily base. No day goes by that they did not F... somewhere big time. they are a disgrace for the country. I have no problems to put gang members in boot camps for reeducation but that should decide by a judge and not the police.
  7. I know somebody who resigned from the police and she told me that everybody in the office get weekly envelopes, it is not only for those who collect it, they share.
  8. And they victims of another gang also called ROYAL Thai police ???? .
  9. Probably el ninjo would be a more correct answer, happen every seven years or so. <deleted> I don't drink beer in Thailand, am I in trouble now.
  10. Yup, they will give an order to the RTP "no rain allowed after 22:00"
  11. Lets include Thai Immigration or maybe agents they may have used to stay legally in Thailand lets check them also. Ask the local police why they noticed NOTHING special.
  12. But what would you do if your place would be empty with no support from the government? Rent it out and be able to cover the costs or keep it empty and use your savings or go bankrupt?
  13. So he did nothing wrong, he must be an angel? In the real world he would not even been allowed to participate in any elections as he would have been condemned for the things he did. Net worth 3 billion when entering office, net worth 36 billion when he left. And he even did not pay taxes on the sale. As you can see I'm not a supporter of him, I liked him a couple months when I arrived in early nineties but that's all. Changed my mind very fast when I found out he is no different from his European colleagues. Up to this day I still don't have any person in THai politics that I like. You know Berlusconi (italian politician) well Berlusconi was peanuts compared to this one. He abused his power over the whole line and mixed his politics with his family business. Democratic elections my aSS, even when they catch them red handed, they still walk free.
  14. I did not joke, I was giving my opinion on homophobia . But you are right if somebody is really raped it is not appropriate.
  15. How you use it and leave an unopened package behind. Never seen it but I assume they are not packed individually.
  16. Yes, but like same same but different. They split up companies to avoid problems like this would ground the company as an whole. Good for tax reason, good for survival.
  17. Pilot licenses in Thailand are expensive (like all over the world) Yes I have seen the latest, it happened before. In THailand the authorities are the main problem way this will not work here unless you have connections. Investments are to high for the risks and the return is minimum because of all the rules.
  18. Title should read" there is little we are willing to do" I love dogs, have two of them myself. They have a bad habit as they bark at strangers and follow passing motorbikes who come in to their small territory. Once they know the new neighbour they will not bark at them anymore. The grab girls and guys don't need to phone when they are arrive in our soi, my dog will tell them they are there.
  19. Same over here, after 11 years in the military you pick all different dialects. In my case, I even became more fluent in two extra languages being based in other parts of the country. After working in tourism for almost 30 years I have the same thing with English and French.
  20. 100% correct, example the smaller airplanes I mentioned are allowed for single pilot operating in almost every country, except Thailand. (hence why the operating cost are higher) Took a lot of paperwork to even get them in the air for passengers, the problem was they missed an extra engine. Rules stipulated that in Thailand in order to allow passengers flights the aircraft needed two engines. I fly only in Australia light sport and gliders, ten minutes after arriving at my club I'm in the air (after signing the paperwork) In THailand it takes forever and I probably would not be allowed even to start training.
  21. The TAT will be happy with the story, they are adjusting their numbers right now. Probably the guy will put on a non entry list and the governor of phuket is checking if he can file a lawsuit. THe assault guy may have been a Burmese national? (sarcasm mode off)
  22. And what if the poster is gay as well? Is it still Homophobia. If I tell a gay joke as a hetero it can be classified as a homophobia, if a gay person tells the same joke, it is still just a joke. One of my former bosses was gay and I had dinner with him and his gay friends, Can tell you they had plenty of (gay) jokes that I would not dare to tell ????. JUst wonder where is the border.
  23. Correct there are a couple of these families, one of Buriram comes to mind. However these kind of families are not only available in Thailand. Many countries have them, politics seems a business for them.
