Jail Term Handed Down for Fatal Cadet Parachute Jumps
SomchaiCNX replied to snoop1130's topic in Central Thailand
Sorry, I did not want to insult you, just stated the fact that you had no clue. For your information, I can read and understand about 5 or 6 languages ???? During WWI the Germans used parachutes for their observers in the balloons). During WWII the Americans did jump with an emergency chute, pLaced in front, on the chest, already. The British and some other parachute regiments from other countries started to use a "reserve" in 1953 until then they only had the main chute in the back. In the late seventies they started to put the reserve (emergency chute) in the back for those who did Free Fall (skydiving) However in the military they still use the main chute in the back and the emergency chute in the front if they operate static line. And .... the Russians use a different technique. When you exit the plane (balloon) you have to count 301, 302, 303 or in English 1001, 1002, 1003. (3 sec) next you have to check your canopy (parachute), next you do a 360 to check if others are near you. etc etc. This is part of the training hence my remark about the jumpmaster (largeur, dispatcher), the kids should have deployed their emergency. My friend had a similar accident when he was an instructor and his student got killed on her first jump (civilian from a Cessna) Because the students changed position (jump order) in the small airplane that student was not hooked up correctly. He went to court and received a sentence. -

Correct, I remember now, did not know 2 were killed. I once visited my regular shop to repair something and to my surprise there was an NCO from wing 41 with an airplane part from the L39 (albatros) that needed to be copied, machined (with a lathe) to replace the original. part. -

Up to her. As far as I know (everywhere in the world) those who opt to for the parachute training course are all volunteers. In some countries it is mandatory if you want to join a particular unit but then again you are the one who request for that unit and are not forced. -

You clearly don't know what you are talking about. They had one but did not deploy it. So I blame it more on the training he received from his jumpmaster. Must have been his first jump? Other people on this forum that went to a parachute training with the military will confirm that they probably still know the drill even after 40 years. A clip of the accident should still be online. -
14 year old admits to organizing her mum's murder - two in custody

Now probably you will understand why you find these kids on the streets at night. It is to dangerous for parents to tell they can not. For once a mother with brains and she had to pay a huge price. Rest In Peace. In many countries she would get away with it as she is still a minor. I guess Thailand is different. -
THe operators of the massage parlors should be brave enough to make public the monthly payments they make to the scumbags in brown. How many of them (police) are using their service for free or with a huge discount? If you don't pay they will close you down. Make it legal but than they have no extra income anymore. Capito?

Can the Thai hospitality sector survive 2022?
SomchaiCNX replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Yes they can survive if and only if the people from TAT and other government related agencies start to shut up. Agoda and many others are just in the hands of a few people, they don't give a F,,, about THailand and its people only profit is what they are looking for.
