  5. The 2010 Thai political protests were a series of political protests that were organised by the United Front for Democracy Against Dictatorship (UDD) (also known as "Red Shirts" in Bangkok, Thailand from 12 March–19 May 2010 against the Democrat Party-led government. The UDD called for Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva to dissolve parliament and hold elections earlier than the end of term elections scheduled in 2012. The UDD demanded that the government stand down, but negotiations to set an election date failed. The protests escalated into prolonged violent confrontations between the protesters and the military, and attempts to negotiate a ceasefire failed. More than 80 civilians and six soldiers were killed, and more than 2,100 injured by the time the military violently put down the protest on 19 May. but I dont know what all this has to do with Today, times have changed, the Thai people have changed every country in the world has had touble in the past, and that is what it is the PAST, nobody can pedict the future, so by saying if Pita is not elected the hords will rise Rubbish, we have to wait and see!!!
  6. yes i was but that is completely a diffrent thing and it did not last all that long top photo about 600 people it involed a couple of hundred if that dissidents, so dont try to equate this to what might happen now times have changed so have the thai people, as i said Thai peole are apathetic, dont care
  7. There you go vagueness in the laws by immigration, proves my point about Thai laws each immigration office "interpreted" the laws different
  8. Techinical publishing books can be construed as the operation of a media company, Thai election laws, like virtually all Thai laws, always have some vagueness so that they can be "interpreted" (anyone ever visit Thai immigration?). dont forget they kicked out a PM for going on a TV cooking show
  9. Singapore is today (beside Monaco) the most densely populated independent country in the world. The identity of Singapore can be a bit confusing. Many people tend to get stuck as to whether Singapore is a country, a city, or an island. Interestingly, Singapore is all three. Singapore is actually a country-city-island, the only one of its kind in the world.
  10. I agree in part, but i would NOT threaten the families, You have a pretense to violence in your posts, which I belive shows a distubing nature, I might be wrong i am not a mental health doctor.
  11. they voted for the 2017 constution The current constitution was adopted in 2017. The 105-page, 279-article proposed constitution[2][3] was approved by 61.4 percent of Thai voters with 59.4 percent of the public participating. It allows the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) to appoint an eight to ten person panel who will choose Senators,[4] and includes six seats reserved for the heads of the Royal Thai Army, Navy, Air Force, and Police, plus the military's supreme commander, and defense permanent secretary. The bicameral Parliament could also select a candidate as Prime Minister who is not one of its members or even a politician. Critics suggest it effectively allows the military to control the government whatever the outcome of subsequent elections. it was amened constitutional amendment bill passed by parliament on Sept 10 has been issued. It was published in the Royal Gazette on Sunday. The amendments involve Sections 83, 86 and 91 of the 2017 constitution. regaring the election .
  12. Iam quoting from a Study done by Greenpeace Thailand, the World Air Quality Index Project, City Hall, and the Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency and you belive they got it wrong !!!! and Transnational means operating across national boundaries. not indonesia they are talking about Myanmar and Laos, as an budding environmentalist will give you a 'F'
  13. go do your reaseach as you do look up whips will help you do your reaseach couple of examples ireland, india
  14. Wow budding environmentalist now given up on a politial activist !!! this post sounds like doomsday which it is not !! there are plenty of people who care, Thailand CAN for example, smog occurs seasonally from roughly December through April, I must admit Thailand still does not have explicit laws aimed at tackling the pollution. Smog and air pollution are not only domestic issues but transnational problems. Crops burned in neighboring countries, especially Myanmar and Laos, also contributed to the pollution. Road traffic is indeed responsible for most of Bangkok’s seasonal air pollution, but a new study concludes that other sources such as field burning and factory emissions – as well as natural phenomena – play decisive roles that can’t be ignored

  19. A memorandum of understanding (MOU) is a document that describes the broad outlines of an agreement that two or more parties have reached. The primary difference between the two is that a letter of intent is not binding, whereas a memorandum of understanding is considered binding and carries weight in a court of law. there was a VOTE by the coalition to accept this you need to go back to school
