  1. Sign the Change.org petition to have the U.K. government confirm the findings. It should be very easy to check the actual DNA and the hand/finger prints on the murder weapon.

Sign the Change.org petition to have the U.K. government confirm the findings. It should be very easy to check the actual DNA and the hand/finger prints on the murder weapon... Well, at least the DNA, since they probably cleaned the murder weapon, and forced the Burmese to put their prints on it. That is the kind of things they do.

  2. My 4 yo Son caught it from a local kid, then my 1 yo Daughter got it... Now I have it... It is a horrible pain like having been burned quite badly on the soles of the feet and palms and between the fingers... A little rash like symptom around the mouth and nose, and some oozing sores on my scalp. On the second day my kids and I got a very bad fever, with cold sweats, and a very sore throat... Nice, eh?

  3. My wife was a perfect candidate for natural childbirth, and it was one of our main reasons for choosing Samitivej, having heard (wrongly) that they had a low c-section rate. We discovered, too late, that they are a C-section factory, where every sigle person in our birth class had a C-section... I have done a ton of research, and I feel very strongly that my wife did not need to have the c-section, but in the moment of birth pain, any doubt gives the doctor a chance to do their "job" and tell you to have a c-section. The WHO recommends a 10-15% c-section rate, one Samitivejj nurse told us it was 50%, but since I can not find even one natural birt parent here, I think it is much higher. There are some blogs, which influenced our choice to give birth at this Samitivej, but I now believe they are propaganda , paid for by this hospital to generate business. whatever you choose, please be strong, know what is supposed to happen, do NOT go to the hospital too early!!!! It is your choice, don't let the doctors, or anyone else control you against your will.

  4. I have been using the new 3G service with my iPad for the past month, and am a very satisfied customer! I live on Koh Tao, where even the TOT hard line internet service is very slow, and un-reliable, and I have journeyed North to Bangkok, and to the Southern most parts of Thailand, and the 3G service was working most of the time. It is generally pretty fast and reliable. I subscribe to the 10 GB service, because I send a lot of large files, and my two and a half year old Son like to surf YouTube videos (thankfully, mostly numbers and ABC's). I am very happy that Thailand is moving, if a little too slowly, into the future...

  5. Lenn, PM me with your exact details and as much info as you can give, similar to what Jack has asked above and I will ask the lawyer about your situation and see what she thinks and then if ok I will give her your contact number and she can call you, she speaks ok english, enough to get started with.

You would have FULL legal rights to her in Oz no problem and you can here according to what Jack has said above if you go through his process.

Does the child live with you or her ?? The best thing is to try to get the paperwork done for the Oz passport before anything else, then you can fall back on that if your idea is to go back to Oz, you need to get this while you can and before any real shitfight starts and then she will really refuse to do anything for you.

If there is a chance that she will not co-operate at the courts, then it could mean you would be denied it the way I went and you would have to go the way of Jack above, but the cost is more.

If I can help anyway, just ask, I hate to see kids like this, but if it is your who cares for the child the most and can care for her better then good for you and do whatever it takes.

One thing you can try and use it as a last resort, if the mother starts getting nasty, then play by her rules and make up whatever story you have to to get her to sign the Oz passport details and promise her that you will send buckets of cash but you have to get back to Oz to sort out cash somehhow.

You mentioned you got her Oz citizenship, if you got this, then you should be able to get the passport easily enough, the documents required are less than what is required for citizenship and if the mother signed those, you should be able to get the passport.

But how do you intend to support the child here or anywhere and where and who is she best off with ?? you need to be really sure of what you are doing, this child at only 6 months is something that will be dependant on you entierly to provide a life for it for a long time.

When i sit down and think of that resposibilty myself, it sometimes scares me.

I don't know how to message you... PLEASE let me know the name of your good lawyer!!! I NEED help! Thank you very much, Lincoln

  7. I have an 8 month old boy by my ex-Thai girlfriend... My name is on the birth Certificate, but I believe as of now, I have no legal rights to my Son. I was told that by getting my Son a U.S. passport it would be much easier to get at least some custody rights (in court), but I am afraid that my ex could somehow screw me in the future because of this... To get a passport for my Son, I have to accept financial responsibility, which is fine in Thailand (I pay 10,000 per month now), but if she ever got a new boyfriend to take her to the U.S., and found a lawyer, or ???... I have two houses there, and the laws of the States are not in my favor... Has anyone ever heard of the passport for a half Thai/U.S. child coming back to haunt them??? Thank you for your words of wisdom!

  8. I would recommed Isaanlawyers. They have a good reputation regarding family law.

Since you are not married, you currently have no rights under Thai law. To get parental rights, you will need to go to court. If she contests you are the father, the court may require a DNA check.

The custody issue is another step, to which can also object. As been said above, Thai courts are reluctant to grant sole custody. Only in cases where people are unfit or a danger to the child will a court grant sole custody.

Thank you very much for your help!

  9. 1) Stop sending money

    2) Employ solicitor

    3) Get solicitor to apply to court for custody with DNA evidence

Without you giving her money she will be much keener to have you recognised as the legal father.

At the moment you are paying her to stop you seeing the kid, if she fights you why would you give her money?

If you want any rights over the child you must cut off the money supply.

Thai courts nearly always give 50/50 custody if both parents living in Thailand.

(Thai courts usually award 100bht a day child support, but she would need to admit you were the father to get that award)

Oh yes, and who is a good solicitor for the Isan area of Thailand???

Thank you for your help... My biggest fear is that my ex will go back to "work" and leave our Son with her Mother. I have also wanted to make sure that she and my Son were comfortable during these first months of his life, but am more willing to do whatever it takes to get my Son back. I am also worried that if I go to court to get custody, that my ex could argue that I have not been a good father by not sending support money. If I stop sending money, could that come back to bite me in court, or elsewhere? Thanks again!!!

  11. My ex Thai GF has my 8 month old Son (DNA sure). I am listed as father on the birth cert. my ex will fight me whenever possible. I would like to get full custody (or at least regular legal visitation rights)... how and/or who can help me? money is not a huge obstacle. I have a very nice home and a wonderful new GF (for over a year), which would provide a much healthier, more stable life with far more opportunities than my ex can provide (or even understand!). I have been supporting my ex through her pregnancy, even though I had many reasons to believe the child may not be mine, I was present at the first ultra sound, and at my Son's birth, and I currently send 10,000 Baht per month each month as child support. Any advice and the names of good lawyers would be great! Thank you very much,

    L

  12. Fantastic!! I really hope they capture it alive. Be such a shame to kill such a wonderful animal.

I say give the farmer 1.5 times the value of whatever the cat eats (once verified by an expert), that way they can think of this as a lucky attack, and not hunt it down and kill it, which is what they will do until there are absolutely none left.

  13. "following a tip off" what a classic ! the guy has been sold out while on the same plane 5 other guys went through with 10kg each ......

No doubt about it ! You hit the nail on the head ! It's a common ploy by smugglers. The Nigerians have taken to sacrificing their own and bringing out the big load with other sherpas. Maybe he was one of them?I am in Nigeria often. You can bring ANYTHING you want out of there with no search. ANYTHING! A small bribe of 1000 Naira, about $6.67 U.S. will get you through any inspections. They actually encourage it. Some come straight out and ask you for the money and then send you through. Not until the civilized world demands compliance from these renegade countries will there ever be a change in the drug problems.

Drug problems are no more than law problems. Coffee, cigarettes, alcohol, along with every prescription med out there are legal... Man makes a law to make other men criminals. As an adult I do not want anyone else telling me what I can and can't do with my own body, whether with drugs, driving with no helmet or seat belt, or in my bedroom, thank you very much!

  14. Legalise, tax and regulate.

Silly laws can't compete against this black market.

legalize Ice ? wow... not such a good idea mate

    definitely not a good idea!

I'm with makescents. Prohibition has clearly not worked. Harsher penalties basically result in higher prices, poorer quality product (overdoses and harmful adulterants), and extreme criminal activity, while use remains widespread.

If the drug trade were legalised and taxed heavily (as alcohol and tobacco are), this would result in a massive tax windfall for the government. This could be plowed straight back into healthcare, rehab, and harm prevention. Thus, the junkies pay for their own treatment, and the criminal element disappears as a bonus.

Why not? Will everyone suddenly run to their nearest doctor to get a prescription for ice? Even if some people did, at least they would be funding the advertising campaign about how bad ice is for you, and the clinics where addicts can go to get help... and lastly, they would not be sending money to the criminals who run that racket now... legalize, TAX and REGULATE! Let ADULTS do their own thinking.

  15. Legalise, tax and regulate.

Silly laws can't compete against this black market.

I could not agree more! The key is to TAX and REGULATE, so you have to get a doctors note, and can get help if you need it! Laws never stopped anyone from doing this sort of thing, they only give another opportunity to thugs to make a buck. Anyway, to each his own... if you want to fry your brain and body, it's yours to fry... or ride without a helmet, etc, as far as I concerned.

  16. A situation that could have, and should have been avoided.

As tourists they should have taken the guy's word and found another parking spot. You don't go to someone else's country and do what's you think is right in your country.

This guy who beat them is still a piece of human excrement and should be thrown in jail but I put some blame on the tourists.

Are you kidding? How could this be the tourists fault? You would make an excellent nazi guard, or some other stupid "follower" type... THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR THIS KIND OF BEHAVIOR, BY ANYONE! The guy is a violent asshol_e, and should be hunted down and locked away... before anyone else gets hurt!
