  1. IMO, he upgraded version is light years better than the old version!

But of course it's confusing at first.  And there are most probably a number of temporary glitches.

I'm familiar with the new layout from another forum and am pretty sure that by the end of the month most active posters here will enjoy the upgraded functionality and improved loading speed..

  2. Thanks for the responses guys. biggrin.png

Since I'd be moving to a new province I'd have to fill out the T.M 48 at the new location before doing a 90 day report at the new location.

I reckon that if the online reporting actually works for me that I could just do it online without formally changing addresses. In the past I was successfully able to do an online report once but the next time after 5 hours of frustration just got on a baht bus to Jomtien.

What I am wondering is if I file a T.M 48 at Krabi Immigration, can I then just go to another counter and do the 90 day report the same day? Or the next day as one night at a guesthouse might be cheaper than transportation costs? What 'd like to avoid is paying for lodging and not even being able to do the report the following day.

  3. Is there a time lag before submitting the Change of Address form and being able to do a 90 day report? Perhaps it takes a while for the Change of Address to get updated in the system before the 90 Day Report. This would not be an issue for me if the online reporting works. My 90 report will be due soon after the date I plan to be arriving at my new address.

I'm especially interested in how Krabi Immigration handles this.

My 90 day report will be due in November. Ideally, I could take the ferry from Koh Lanta arriving in Krabi town at 10 AM, get by business handled and return to Koh Lanta on a 3:30 PM ferry from Ao Nang.

  4. I will be returning to Thailand on September 2nd.

I will be renewing my 1 year Extension of Stay approx September 15th.

Will my first 90 Day Report be 90 days from September 2nd or 90 days from September 15th?

Note: The reason I want to know now is I will be traveling around Thailand when my 90 Report is due and I can't depend on the online system working so I'm trying to sort out my travel plans now.

  5. I entered the Philippines with a 30 day stamp at the airport. Then I got a 29 day extension.

It says valid until 21 June 2016. I assume this means I can fly out on June 21st (notJune 20th).

June 21st would be my 59th day if the day I entered was Day 0 (not Day 1).

Just want to double-check that this is the way it works in the Philippines before I book my flight?

  6. I have what's commonly referred to as a retirement visa.

I'll be leaving Thailand and then in a few months returning for a few hours or perhaps a day and then leaving the country again probably by way of Don Muang.

Can I get 2 re-entry permits at the same at Jomtien immigration?

This would cost me 2000 baht rather than spending 3900 for a multiple re-entry permit.

  7. A friend of mine is arriving on January 1st and departing on March 17th.

He got a Non-Immigrant O Visa which is good for 90 days.

He travels to Thailand once a year every year and generally stays slightly more than 3 months. He was thinking it might be to his advantage to get a 1 Year Extension of Stay. It appears the cost for this would be 1900 baht a year plus he would have to pay 1000 baht a year for a re-entry permit.

    Questions:

If he arrives on January 1st what's the first day that he can apply for a 1 Year Extension of Stay?

For this first extension of stay he only needs money in the bank for 2 months, right?

  8. Receive an overseas funds transfer
    • Charge fee from beneficiary

Note You will not receive the full amount of funds

as Bangkok Bank will deduct a fee prior to depositing

      funds into your account.

    0.25% of the transfer value

(minimum 200 Baht, maximum 500 Baht)

    • Charge fee from sender
    None
    • Pay with cash
    Additional 150 Baht fee
    • Recipients don’t want to deposit funds into an

account (choose to hold foreign currency)

Note Customers must inform the bank at least

7 days in advance, otherwise the bank will deposit

funds into the customer’s account on the date

instructed in the funds transfer instruction.

    1,000 Baht per transaction
    • Foreign bank sends a payment order via

another Thai bank into your account with

      Bangkok Bank

Another Thai bank will deduct its fee before

sending funds to Bangkok bank. Bangkok Bank

may also chargea fee depending on how the other

bank sends the funds to Bangkok Bank.

Does anyone know the meaning or paid the 150 baht fee for "Pay With Cash"?

I can't recall seeing this fee on their website a couple of years ago.

    http://www.bangkokbank.com/BangkokBank/PersonalBanking/DailyBanking/CurrencyExchange/Pages/Fees.aspx

  9. By BKK bank account do you mean an account with Bangkok Bank?

I have done ACH transfers to Bangkok Bank New York which then gets sent to my Bangkok Bank account.

The fee from Bangkok Bank New York on transfers of 2K-50K USD is $10.

    http://www.bangkokbank.com/BangkokBank/PersonalBanking/DailyBanking/TransferingFunds/TransferringIntoThailand/ReceivingFundsfromUSA/Pages/ReceivingFundsfromUSA.aspx

The fee from Bangkok Bank Thailand is 0.25% of the transfer with a min of 200 baht and a max of 500 baht.

    http://www.bangkokbank.com/BangkokBank/PersonalBanking/DailyBanking/CurrencyExchange/Pages/Fees.aspx

But looking at the above link there is a wording that I don't recall seeing before, a 150 baht charge if "Paid By Cash".

What does "Paid By Cash" mean?

If the proceeds are deposited in my Bangkok Bank account is that considered being "Paid By Cash"?

If so, how would one not be "Paid In Cash" to avoid this 150 baht fee.

  10. I made it to Page 3. It appears that info that I typed in should appear on Page 3 but it does not.

    It's blank. (screenshot below)

    Has anyone encountered this?

    This is on Safari.

A few hours later I hit the Back Button on my browser.

    Then I submitted it again.

    It worked!

Tried the Reference Number and said the application was pending.

The website says it gets processed within 7 business days.

Have any of you had your submission processed but then ultimately not accepted?

Using Chrome you should download IE TB

    https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/ie-tab/hehijbfgiekmjfkfjpbkbammjbdenadd?hl=en

Open the Immigration 90 day report website in IE Tab and it will work !

    Thanks NowRetired.

I gave it a shot but unfortunately it doesn't work on Macs.

    Maybe in the future

Sorry, but IE Tab is not currently supported on your platform.
Unfortunately the Chrome Web Store does not allow us to indicate in advance that Mac & Linux are not supported or we would have saved you the trouble of installing.

    This is on Safari.

On Opera, I can't get the list of countries on the drop down menu to appear.

On Chrome. When I click my arrival date from the calendar it appears as NaN Nan Nan.

Unless it's normal for Page 3 to be blank then I guess I'll go to an internet cafe tomorrow to try it on IE.

  13. My Extension of Stay was issued at Jomtien Immigration.

I went to Samui Immigration today for a 90 Day Report and they said they could not process it.

The officer said I could do it by mail or do it online.

I got to Page 1 online and they ask for my Arrival Card Number.

My Arrival Card was taken at the airport. On my Departure Card there is a 7 digit alphanumeric code beneath a barcode. Is this what they are looking for?

But since I did get to Page 2,3,4 I figure there will be other things that will be unclear to me.

Within these 50 pages are here any screenshots of the Pages 2, 3, and 4? If so would you know the approx date so I can look for it?

Or is there anything on Pages 2,3, 4 where people often hit a snag?

Some more specifics. My Extension of Stay expires at the end of October and I will be back in Jomtien at that time.

I left Thailand in May and returned in June. If on Pages 2,3,or 4 it asks about a previous 90 Day Reporting number I assume I should leave that blank since this will be my first report since I re-entered (with a re-entry permit).

What most concerns me is my address since that's why I can't do the report in Samui.

Will there be a problem if I list my Samui address?

Or should I use a Jomtien address where I rented previously and will be renting to again in October?

If I can't do this online, and I guess I won't know until 7 days after the application is submitted whether it is approved, it is a cause for concern. It would be quite disruptive to my plans if I can't do the 90 Day Report online. Not bitching and moaning here, just stating a fact.

Lastly, if I can't get this done online can anyone recommend a travel agency in Samui, preferably in Lamai that handles 90 Day Reports for a fee?

    Thanks! biggrin.png

  14. I thought it'd be easy to buy a bicycle cable lock, and maybe it is, but so far I'm striking out.

Tried some bike repair shops, Tuesday-Friday market, and a store in the basement of Tuk Com.

I was thiking maybe Big C?

Anyone know where I can buy one one near a baht bus route?

    Thanks! biggrin.png

  15. giddyup, websites and directions to amphur office would be very much appreciated. My apologies if this info is already on the board.

    Thanks.

Amphur Office is on Sukhumvit road after the Bangkok Pattaya hospital, on the same side going towards Bangkok. Will forms can be found and downloaded from the internet.

Anyone know approx how far past Bangkok Pattaya Hospital?
