In my village in Phetchaburi life goes on just the same they get up at sun up and work until 10.00 come back and eat or eat where they work .

Work again until too hot and then rest go back again and stop at sun down .

I came back Thailand after a trip to the UK , got in about 1900h to Swampy .

Got a y/g taxi to home half an hour other side of Phetchaburi in the sticks Taxi man said 2000 bhat and i gave hime 2500 bhat,

he was very nice and the price was great , never had a problem in 17yrs .

The car has been to the garage for repair to wiring, and even went through a petrol pipe on the tank although i think some are

In my Mue Baan the kids of 7/8 years old drive a 125cc Honda to school if the feet touch the floor they can ride.

Police say nothing to them on the road underage (18yrs) no helmet no ins no tax .

If i was stopped on the road with no helmet i would be fined ,there are posters advertising KFC saying 100% helmet.

But kids can ride themselves and 3 others on the bike .

Nothing short of an enama for me , problems start when the water to baan goes of and no paper in the toilet.

I see many driving with out a number plate and some painted out.

The husband is not allowed to take a child out of Thailand without the written permission of the mother if he is going alone.

She could state he went without permission if that was so and the law would help get him back.

As for the divorce after 3 yrs she can go to court and get one , in Thailand as he has deserted her and committed adultery.

By not being able to critic any one by law then there is no point in having democracy ,may as well stay with the fudel system and let the kamnam tell them what to say.

Thailand will never be ready for Democracy they do not understand it , the puw yai system will always be there in the head of the Thai,

I love Thailand and will live here until i die given the chance but the education system of rote learning will fail the people , the most fead word the school child can say to the teacher is WHY.

Very sorry , but was only reacting to the add on this forum and then wanting to know more about it as , they stated the money was provided by them and they did all the work for a fee.
