  1. China airlines web site has been down for a month or two. Since they are one of the few airlines available to fly direct to anywhere but BKK from CNX, if fine it frustrating. Their home page comes up, but they cannot search or complete purchases. Anyone know what is happening?

  2. Well written and an accurate assessment.

But on a lighter note: Next time they gather get some crop duster aircraft and spray them all with a special dog shit aroma mixed in with a long lasting itching powder, that might be fun to see (Does anyone think I am pure evil?) :cheesy:

Yes he said, with a smile.

  3. the red/yellow divide is a typical class struggle. The poor are tired of being poor and used, the rich don't want to share. Yellow

shirts demonize the poor, who want a portion of what the Yellows have. The yellows dehumanize the oppressed because they don't want to give up privilege. these are big historical in collisions. Leaders of any color that press their obvious biases won't change anything; they will collide.

  4. there is a German guy I his name is Dirk Weeber - he opened a Podiatrist center in Chiang Mai a while ago. They had an article about the center in the local English publication

This is what I found on the net - according to their website they do treat ingrown nails

    The Podology Center

Branch 1: 399/208 Moo 3, Siriporn Garden Home 9, Chiang Mai-Doi Saket Rd., Chiang Mai

Branch 2: 49/90 Ngamwongwan Rd., Soi 54 (1st junction), Ladyao, Chatuchak, Bangkok (near Kasetsart University).

    089-633 8586, 053-038084 or 029-410414 for more information or visit www.mft-thailand.com.

These people are not Podiatrists! One of them has been misrepresenting himself as being a doctor when they are only a spa-like facility. The same guy was also pretending to be a customer and hyping the place here on thaivisa. I wouldn't go there for treatment if it was the last place on earth. Use caution.

    I can recommend Dirk

  6. "In thailand you get a bbq grill go down to lotus and invest in your nights business of selling charbroiled chicken, and you are in business as soon as you find a good street corner - free enterprise? America is just an illusion."

Try cooking on a thai street corner without a workpermit and the right visa and the police payoffs, and you'll find yourself out on your ass.

  7. My current retirement extension expires in September, 2011. However, I must go home to USA for family emergency which will keep me out of Thailand past that date.

My understanding is that extensions are only available at immigration in Thailand, and after that expiration date, I would need to go through the the application process for a new retirement visa in the USA. Would immigration allow me to "renew" 9 months early?

Is there any way to get an extension outside Thailand to avoid losing my current retirement status? I suppose I could fly back to extend, but that would be costly and time consuming. Could third party legal agencies be of help "in country?"Any information and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
