  1. Yes, I'm interested. And the good thing is because we also live at Nonghoi area.

Could you tell me where the pool is? And on what days can we meet him at the pool?

Thank you. I appreciate your help.

[sorry, I forgot, it should go to PM]

We have what seems to be a good swimming instructor at our pool in Nong Hoi. He charges a very reasonable 1000 baht for 30 hours and attends the pool between about 5 - 7pm five days a week. I've seen him at work with very tiny kids and been impressed but don't count on other children the same age being present at the same time. I'd say it's best to find her a friend to do the classes together. PM me for me details if you're interested.
  2. Hi,

I'm looking for some place that provides a swimming course for my 3 years old daughter. She loves swimming very much.

Does anybody know where to look in Chiang Mai?

I prefer her to be in a swimming class (I'm not looking for a private teacher), so she can also use the time to interact and have fun with other children.

  3. Starting next week, our badminton schedule will be on every Sunday at 5.00 pm.

Yesterday game was just me, stevie, and trek. And then there was a woman joined us, so we played doubles for nearly two hours, and continue with single vs double for the next 30 minutes.

    It was great and fun.

PS. Trek, do you have sore muscles today? :o

  4. I would like to join in the badminton fun....can someone please tell me when/where the next game will be?

For anyone who'd like to join badminton, just let us know, and come on Saturday 4.30pm at the sport center at Thunghotel road.

Direction: from Nawarat bridge, go to the train station, few meters after the train station turn left on the traffic light, you will be on the Thunghotel road. Just go straight until the road a little bit curvy to the left, and then on the left side you will see the sport center. The court is booked under Kevin's name.

  5. I play tennis regularly, so I'm not suffering too much today, but Torresguy and Ungu may be suffering since neither had exercised much for a while, and they (especially Torresguy) weren't holding back.

I managed to lose all my games so I suppose that makes me 'the weakest link'. Still, they are a fair bit younger and, more importantly, lighter than me. So ...... are there any fat, old folk out there that want to join us so that I can improve my average?

You're right, I have sore muscles all over my body, but it was fun.

Actually, I was also ran out of my breath and energy during the game, but luckily, my partner was hardworker enough to run around catching some of the shuttlecocks that should be my responsibility :o

    See you next Saturday...

  6. Hey Ungu, if you don't mind me asking, where are you from? How can I recognise you? I think I know who Kevin is already....Thanks.

    OK, I pm you.

BTW again, because yesterday my friend still didnt sure that we can start playing today, he apparently has made another appointment this afternoon, so he cannot join us today :o sorry.

So, I guess the first session will be just the three of us.

Maybe next Saturday will be more people can come.

  7. Weekends is okay for me at the moment, but courts may be busier? Might be worth a try though?

I play tennis Mon, Tues , Fri

I could probably manage Thurs at 7? Anyone available? Tungotel Rd - near the railway station.

I have two Thai friends (office mate) who are also interested to join.

One of them is only available on Mon,Tue,Wed 7-9pm and Saturday all day.

The other one is available on Mon and Wed 7-9pm.

He said the courts at thunghotel is busy, but we could try. And he has a suggestion to use the court at Land and House Village, at Mae Jo. It's less people there.

  8. The courts at Thunghotel road are handy for me. Maybe we can wait to see if more people respond for a social badminton night (Wed/Thursday at 4.30?).

If some people would like to play badminton "for fun" regularly, please count me in.

But, I'm only available in the evening (after 7) on the workdays and whole day on the weekend.

  9. Thank you for all the replies. I tried DHL, but they don't have domestic service. Bus companies don't deliver to the recipent's address I think, but I searched the location of Indra bus company anyway, and found them, just in case.

So, anyway, finally I decided to use EMS, and it was cheap enough, around 270 Baht for a 5 kg package, delivered overnight, and reached my client without any trouble. The thing is, I put many layers of bubble wraps around each individual cakes, so they were "bump-proof". Luckily they're not decorative cakes. Just sponge cakes and lapis legit.

  10. Try S&P. They have branches all over. I'm sure a branch local to your delivery address would oblige.

The bakery store? you mean, they provide courier service for delivering goods that are not their own?

Or does S&P has a sub company (courier company) to handle that?

Thanks for the input. Now, for other alternatives, I also open for regular courier service, or even travel agent/coach service that make daily trip to Bangkok.

They don't have to be specialized in delivering cakes, and they don't have to be a big company.

In my home country, I usually use a small courier service, which I know the driver, and the driver personally take care of my cakes and put them in the front seat with him.

  11. Hi,

I need to send some home made cakes (delicate stuff) from Chiang Mai to Bangkok, preferrably same day delivery or overnight is also OK, but no more than one night because the quality of the cakes may degrade.

I don't know if I can trust the regular postal service even if I mentioned the package as fragile.

Are there any recommended courier/parcel services in Chiang Mai that can handle such thing? Especially the ones that have experiences in handling food or frozen goods.

    Thank you
