I take about 17 grams every one or two weeks (it's not an exact science and there are different prophylactic protocols). Generally, they all seem to involve taking approximately .2 mg/kg per dose which for me is about 3 and 1/2 pills.
I take 3000 to 5000 iu's of vitamin D per day and 30 mg of zinc per day. I take other supplements too but the vitamin D and Zinc are the most critical in terms of protection related to covid.
I generally drink a couple of glasses of wine per day and I have never noticed any problems with that. Keep in mind that over 4 billion doses of ivermectin have been administered over the last 30 years or so and the only side effects have generally been related more to the die-off of parasites than anything else. It's much safer than statins or ibuprofen.

I bought the cheap Chinese pet Ivermectin off of Lazada. It comes in 5 mg tablets of 100% Ivermectin. 100 tablets for 73 baht. I've been taking it for months with zero side effects. There are no other ingredients or fillers. I would guess it comes off the same assembly line as the human form.
Make sure you also take vitamin D and Zinc.

I feel the same as you these days. I'm consuming audiobooks and playing my guitar. I haven't watched any news for 2 years because the obvious propaganda and bias is not good for my mental health. Oh, I also exercise everyday as I've converted one of my rooms into a gym. Not being able to get home to see my family and my mother, who is not getting any younger obviously has been really rough. 2 years ago I spent half my time touring around Europe. I can't see that in the near or medium term future as I'm sure it will require a vaccine passport. Some day I may consider the vaccine but until I'm convinced of it's success over the longer term I'm going to hold out.

That is only correct if you have a US address you are using for the SSA.
If using a foreign address it is not automatic. You have to enroll for part B.
I can say that from my own experience when I was near to my 65th birthday.
I use a USA address so I was unaware of the process when using a Thailand address. Simplification of doing my taxes and social security are two of the reasons that I use the address that I do.

You are correct. If you are already collecting SS before you turn 65 you will automatically be enrolled in medicare part A and B. You will receive a card in the mail to that effect. If you do nothing, the part B premium will be automatically deducted from your SS payment at the appropriate date. If you do not want the part B you have to notify them and they will issue you a new card that states you have part A only.

I can't understand why more people aren't considering ivermectin. It seems to work prophylactically as well as in early and late stages of the virus. Hydroxychloroquine was effective also but only if used early in treatment. Ivermectin has been used effectively all over the world. It's just weird to me that new treatments keep being introduced that show limited to no effectively when there are a multitude of studies showing the efficacy of this drug that has been around for 45 years and has been distributed billions of times with negligible to no side effects.

My gym in Chiang Mai just shut down this morning (Friday, April 16) for at least two weeks because a member recently tested positive; I was there last Sunday, same time as this member. I have no symptoms, but the advice was to self-quarantine for two weeks; if no symptoms crop up during that time, then I’m probably OK.
Testing is possible at Lanna Hospital (and certainly other hospitals), but for foreigners the fee is 3,500 baht, and you need to schedule a time online or by calling. I was told, if I developed symptoms, get tested.
Are you allowed to say which gym Closed?

Jetts Fitness at One Nimman has 2 of them.

How is it even possible that a human being could do something like this? I really hope the punishment is severe in this case. Even an anonymous call to animal welfare was too much trouble?

Were you able to get through the Temple grounds all the way to the road?

Thanks everyone, especially 2020. I can only dream of being 20/20. I'm more like 20/2000.

Does anyone know of a place in Chiang Mai where you can buy Pinhole or Stenopeic glasses. I recently had surgery for a detached retina and they might help my vision while reading to a certain extent while I wait for my eye to heal.
Thanks...

My condolences to the family of the fallen man. Things like this are always a tragedy. However...
Ships are safe in the harbor, but that's not what ships are for. There is an element of danger in most adventure activities. We can strive to minimize the risk but we can never eliminate it completely, no matter how much some might want to. This isn't a Nanny State. If you want that sort of mommy/daddy protection, having your hand held while you walk down a paved road, you can find it back home. The various zip-line companies have been in business for quite a few years, with a safety record that, for Thailand, is pretty damn good. Folks can say 'I just knew something like this was going to happen...: Well yeah! Wait 5-7 years and it probably will. Wait, and someone will probably get hit in the head with a golf ball or drop a free weight on their chest. Just give it enough time.... Skiers now wear helmets on the slops in most major ski areas, and all have ski patrol personnel monitoring, watching for potential problems, yet every year in several ski areas, someone skis out of control, slams into a tree and dies.
Adventure sports are for people who live in the fast lane. Most of us don't play golf. We tend to live on the edge. And while we all say we want safety, what we really want is an element of danger. And sometimes we fall off that edge. “Live fast, die young and leave a good-looking corpse!”
There is no way that Zip Lining falls under the classification of an adventure sport and having an expectation of proper safety procedures and equipment is hardly an indication that you require mommy/daddy protection in a Nanny State. Your analogies are ridiculous.

Hi,
I'm looking to book a 7 day European cruise which starts in Barcelona and makes stops in Tunisia, Italy, and Monaco. My question relates to getting a Schengen visa for my Thai girlfriend. I'm wondering if it can be done from Chiang Mai? We would rather not have to make a trip to Bangkok to obtain the visa.
Does anyone here in the Chiang Mai forum have any experience with this sort of thing?
Thanks...

2 of my last 3 orders from iherb.com have gone missing here in Chiang Mai.
-
IHerbs is a total waste of money anyway.
Newsflash:
You go to market and you get the same herbs FRESH ie with 100 times more phyto-elements than the dried powdered stuff stocked up for months in a bottle. Moreover you don't just get the one element, you get the fibers and all the other stuffs missing in the bottle that you body needs.
What an idiotic post. Do you even know what iherb is or what they sell?

Anybody know whether the Chiang Mai immigration office is open on Tuesday, July 1st. It's the Thailand Mid Year Bank holiday but I can't find any information on whether it affects the immigration office.
Thanks....

How is whole grain cereal with milk worse than pancakes?

I have one more question. Has anybody gotten the B12 injection at Ram hospital? If so, what was the procedure and cost?
Thanks....

I have pernicious anemia too, which makes it necessary for me to get B12 shots. I have a question. My doctor administers the B12 shot (which I get monthly) intravenously. I'm pretty sure the shot is supposed to be delivered in the muscle. It's certainly more comfortable to get the shot in the vein. Does anyone have any knowledge regarding this?

In the first fight I had Manny 11 to 1. This fight was closer, I had Manny 9 to 3. I'm not sure what fight jellydog was watching. Bradley was tripping all over himself this fight, No balance at all.

What type of activities are you interested in? There are running, biking, and hiking groups, as well as others.

I'm from Pennsylvania. I go home every year for Christmas and New Years. I still go to the Mummer's parade every New Years Day.

Warm up before you lift. It's important to start to work up a sweat. Stretch at the end, not at the beginning, for maximum benefit. If you go the testosterone route, be warned that it can have a bit of an erratic effect on your sex life. At times it will be better than ever, and at other times it will be worse. I didn't like the roller coaster effect so I quit the testosterone supplementation. I might reconsider it when I'm a little older (I'm in my mid 50's).
Ivermectin
in Chiang Mai

Partington,
100's of millions of people are taking doses of ivermectin right now that are greater and more frequent than what I outlined. This is happening all over in different areas of India, South America, etc. There have been zero reports of side effects and in every area it has been administered cases of covid have plummeted. I have looked at the graphs of multitude of countries and areas where it has been administered and it is remarkable.
Social media is not my guide to anything. The scientists that recommend these protocols have nothing to gain. They are not owned and they are not profiting in any way from their research. They have found, through science, that a nobel prize winning drug has unbelievable anti-viral properties in a lab and have repurposed it in the treatment of covid. I trust uncompromised science much more than science driven by profit.
