I too have had an 'interesting' time with TOT.

I used to have the cheap 1meg package but kept on having trouble.

The ADSL light would go out for hour upon end or just flash then disappear.

After speaking with TOT they suggested upgrading to the 2 meg package as this would be a better signal.

Unfortunately the problem still persists.

Fair play to the Engineer.He has visited several times to check things and today he has let me 'borrow' a new Modem to see if it is my DLINK modem playing up.

The saga continues.....

Today has been classic Thailand.

There is a Local Election due and ever since 7 A.M this morning we have had a couple of cars blaring out some crappy tune.

It has passed my house about 20 times today and I do not live in a busy area.

Has anyone managed to have their Girlfriends son/daughter's surname changed to the Farang's surname ?

Is it possible ?

We are not talking about adoption, just a change fron ex boyfriend's surname to Farangs ?

One thing that complicates matters is that they have had a baby together.

Therefore it is not a case of him realising what has been going on and walking away from her.

What I mean by saying that she is taking the p@ss is that she is taking money off of him for all sorts of fictitious reasons.

She is pretty clever at inventing new versions of the 'sick buffalo' story.

Also she enjoys telling her Thai 'friends' all about her lies in Thai whilst he is around.

The pregnancy (which is a story in itself) happened so quickly into the relationship I never had a chance for a quiet chat.

Do you tell your long standing friend that his girlfriend is basically taking the p@ss.

He is somewhat wet behind the ears on Thai matters and understands no Thai.

Should he be enlightened before any expensive land purchases ?

The latest edition of the Samui Express contains a report on the arrest of an 'Icelandic' man on a drugs charge.

In one short article they have managed to get the Name,Nationality and location incorrect.

The person involved is 100% innocent (i was going to add 'of the charges' but no charges have yet been made)

He has been in jail for over 1 month.

Be very careful who you upset here on Samui.

This is a truly lawless place.
