  1. I think that has what I need - I could probably something up with the system date and column BB The installers have recommended the Deye Cloud app so I’ll see what that can get me
  2. Hi, I’ve had my solar setup for about a year and I’m looking to see if it’s worth switching to PEA’s TOU (Time of Use) tariff I'm pretty sure it is but as we are on grid from about 18:30, I’d like to know how many KWh we have been using between 18:30 and 22:00 when off peak starts. the SOLARMAN app doesn’t seem to have a way to export the data or filter it down to that level Thanks in advance
  3. Somehow I missed out two important words - sorry ”yellow book”
  4. A quick update A certified translation of my was accepted and my new passport is on It’s way
  5. Thanks for the info I guess I’ll buy the smallest tins I can get for the colours I’m choosing between it’s not the cost, more the waste for the colours I end up not using
  6. Thank you for all the useful information Sorry for not being clearer with my original question When I do a TM30 via the TM30 website I print off the notification and keep it with my passport. The notification contains my current passport number. My question should have been do I need to do a new TM30 when I receive my new passport so that the notification that I keep with my passport has my new passport number on it. I believe @DrJack54 has addressed by saying that CM immigration (my local immigration office) can be funny about the TM30 and that it is better to do a new one
  7. I’m about to renew my passport- will I need to do a new TM30 when I get my new passport? Thanks in advance
  8. Dumb question incoming Can you get small paint tester pots in Thailand? My local Home Pro only mixes paint to order and the smallest quantity they make is way more than I need to put 3 or 4 test patches on the walls Thanks in advance
  9. Thank you 🙂 this is why I like this site, people are friendly and helpful 🙂
  10. Did you watch it on the Play box? If so where did you find the option to change it to English?
  11. I have 3BB and AIS Play box with Monomax subscription I’m currently watching EFL, Sou vs Wre, but it only has Thai commentary I called 3BB to ask if EPL will have English commentary but they cannot confirm and are checking with Monomax
  12. not colour blind, definitely a yellow book but it has my name and address in Thai script 😉 the U.K. passport folks will only accept a yellow book as proof of residence if the name and address details are in English
  13. thanks @novacova I’ll make sure Monday isn’t a public holiday and take a trip down in the morning 🙂 I’ll take passport, copy of passport, copy of TM-30, yellow book / copy, and a handful of 100 THB notes - hopefully that will cover all eventualities 😉
  14. Has anyone got a Residence Certificate from Chiang Mai Immigration recently? Its been over 10 years since I’ve needed one and I don’t know which floor in which building I need to go to ard the still charging for the “express” service and if so how much is it these days? Thanks in advance 🙂
  15. ah - that’s where I have an issue - my name and address are both in Thai I guess I’m heading off to Immigration for a residence certificate then
  16. Hi, has anyone used their yellow house book as their proof of address / residence when renewing their UK passport at VFS Chiang Mai? Thanks in advance
  17. Hi, my friend is a western lady, married to a Thai gent, on an extension based on marriage Sadly her husband has just passed away - what does she need to do from an Immigration perspective? thanks in advance
  18. Interestingly it was a Conservative government that raised the VAT rate to 20% - it had been 17.5% under the previous Labour government
  19. The following is not related to the US but is related to Amazon i have found ordering electronic goods from Amazon UK and delivering to Thailand can be cheaper than delivering the same item to the U.K. uk VAT is 20% so once that is removed Thai VAT at 7% plus duty can come out cheaper
  20. If you have a Pink Card linked to your yellow house book I believe that can be used in lieu of a TIN, but you’d need to confirm that
  21. You need to stop with all this talk of food that is not the Fish & Chips mentioned by the OP lest he remonstrate with you for not being precisely on topic 😉
  22. I would argue that *refurbished* is the keyword in your title and I was giving you an, arguably, better option than refurbished so that you get a bang for your buck As to the where then each of the three big malls in Chiang Mai has an official Apple retailer
  23. I would second what has been said previously about considering a base model of the M4 Mac mini if you want to upgrade from an M1 Mac Mini (2020) to a newer Mac model for better performance I believe you will be hard pressed to get a better deal for example upgrading to an M2 Mac Mini from an M1 Mac Mini won’t give you a big bump in performance
  24. Thanks for the info guys Our architect was saying we don’t need an inverter ac as the solar system has an inverter but I had a feeling that was him not knowing what the inverter did for the ac 😉
  25. We are getting a new air con fitted in a room that is attached to our solar system. Is it better to get an inverter air con or a non inverter air con?
