Flying out with <1 day overstay, no fine, but a note in your passport that you overstayed by less than 24 hours (departing by air only, land borders charge from day 1).

Been that way since pretty well forever.

Should have no effect on any future entries or visas.

Thanks a lot. Planning to fly back in on Monday and thought i’d double check before getting on the plane. ?

  2. Hi,

i’m a Brit and flew out of Don Muang Airport. I overstayed a 30 day Permission to stay stamp by 9 hours (one day)

Before Immigration would simply charge 500THB and let you go on your merry way. I wasn’t charged the 500THB, which I thought was a result but noticed they had written something next to the stamp in my passport. (Attached, to the left)

Anyone know what it means? And has there been some changes in the rules?

    thanks for any help

  3. Hi,

i’ve friend who’s planning about 17 days in the Phuket, Krabi and Islands area in January 2019. He has a young son 5 y.o and his wife, Europeans. They have a good budget for resort accommodation.

They were thinking about Phuket and Phi but ages since i’ve been to either. I didn’t think Patong was suitable for a family, is that still the case? They could stay at Karon or Kata Beach is there much to do in the evening there? (without all the girly bars, obviously) What about Phi Phi? Last time I was there (10 years ago) it just seemed like Spring Break! Perhaps I missed the good bits?

Also, they like boats, can anyone recommend island cruises for a few nights to a week in the area?

    thanks for any help

  4. Hi, can anyone help with me?

I'm a Brit and i entered through Suvarnabhumi airport on 26/02/18 on a 30 day entry stamp. I now want to stay in Thailand for a further 5 months (end August)

I've been searching through my options on Thaivisa for obtaining a Multiple Entry Tourist Visa in a neighbouring country but there are many and some a bit confusing. I don't mind doing an overland if it's cheaper and really worth it.

Does anyone have their favourite routes/solutions they wouldn't mind sharing?

    Thanks for any help

  5. My problems started when I bought a ticket Jaipur-Bangkok but put the wrong email address as my contact. Instead of [email protected] I put  [email protected]

As I wasn’t logged in when I bought the ticket no way of going to ‘Manage My Bookings’ to get the Booking Reference.

I took a screenshot of the Booking Summary but it doesn’t include the Booking Reference.

I tried calling Airasia here in India, no answer-EVER! Live Chat keep pushing me back and no reply by email.

Checked my bank and the ticket is paid for, just that confirmation has been sent to [email protected]!!!

Whats the best course of action? Don’t want to spend money trying to call Airasia on an overseas number.

Can I just show up without the Booking Reference and Checkin manually at the counter?

Any bright sparks out there can can help out?

    cheers

  6. Hi, I'm in the market for a battery charger or battery pack, what ever they're called.

I want it to charge my iPhone 6 and digital camera.

I saw sizes ranging from 10,000-60,000 (mml?) I don't want one that's too large and heavy and don't want to spend too much.

Any ideas, pointers, what to look out for?

    Cheers
