I have an unused re-entry visa in my passport, valid up until the expiry date of the non-imm visa. If I then subsequently extend the Non-imm visa for another year and leave the country before the expiry date on the re-entry can I re-enter after the expiry date, i.e during the valid time of the new extention ? Or do i need to get a new re-entry visa before I leave, valid until the end of the new extention ?

Does anyone know where it is possible to get tests done for Lyme and other tick born diseases in Thailand ?

So where do you apply for Thai citizenship then if it is not immigration ? Where do you get all required information ?

Do pedestrians still not have "right of way" over vehicles, as in most countries?
Absolutely not. Haven't you noticed ?

Well if he didn't change the plug how do you know he changed the air filter or checked the oil ? Have you used him previously ? Has the oil been changed regularly ? (by him ?) if not the engine wear can affect the timing and hence cause backfiring.
Yes check the plug gap first. If no pleasure take it to Sanya Panit opposite Prince Royal School and let them look at it.

The only regulation I know of preceding the 1978 act is the wonderfully named Announcement No. 322 of 1972 of the Revolutionary Party concerning the employment of aliens. The 1978 act replaced this. I have found references to a Occupational and Professional Assistance Act of 1941 that seems to have had provisions on migrant workers. I suspect that, prior to this date, permission to reside in Thailand would have been conditional, with one of the factors being whether you were conducting business, carrying out missionary work and so one. Criteria would have been informal. I could be wrong.
Wonderful guys, Thanks.

Just wondering, when were work permits officially introduced and required here ?

Get ALL the paperwork done and filled in FIRST, and then apply for the appointment. You may find some things take longer than anticipated, like translations.
Its actually not very complicated but just make sure you read all the guidelines and follow instructions properly, other wise you'll have to get another appointment.

Ask: the builder of new condo, the lawyer and the real estate agent. Someone might tell the truth.
You are optimistic aren't you ?

We MUST have these white lines so the world will see that we are just as advanced and civilized as the west. We don't want anyone looking down on us because we don't look good !

I heard that a direct citizenship application is less hassel and expense than a PR application. Does anyone know what the requirements are for someone married to a Thai ?

...., bad sectors. I've just backed drive c up, by using Acronis True image 2014.
But I couldn't back it up before, telling me that there're reading problems.
If you are getting bad sector read messages that sounds like the HDD is on the blink. Of course could be a virus (have you scanned from an external boot device?) but I've never heard of one doing that. High probability that this is a hard disk problem.

Seems as if chaos is the order of the day.
Isn't that the very definition of Thailand?
Isn't that why we all just love it here ?

It is Ao Yon, on the south western corner of Cape Panwa, which is about 5km south of Phuket Town (south east area of the island). There is no accommodation there, though several hotels on the Ao Chalong side of the Cape, and on the Ao Makham side. All within 800m to 1 km from Ao Yon.
The place where the 'loungers' are is the beach bar of a resort called Bel Air at Ao Makham. They run a courtesy bus to and from their beach bar.
Ao Yon has 2 beaches, separated by a small headland that you can walk around except at high tide. It is a year round anchorage for boats.
Sent from my GT-I9500 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app
Thanks guys, much appreciated. Any one know if Bel Air is a good place to stay ? Thanks again.

The boat from Chiang Kong via Luangprabang to Vientian would be the most enjoyable if you have time. Boat or bus from there.

Why are the safety levels in Thailand 240% higher than in many other countries? In Singapore a PSI 2.5/10 of 50 is the limit!
Because we have higher levels of pollution here of course.

I was merrily drinking in various places in Chiang Mai last weekend and never noticed a thing.

None of the airlines at airports in this region can check passports on any kind of international database.

Only a small point, but if a terrorist group wanted to have a pop at China, why would they bring down a Malaysian aircraft?
My guess is that it is a terrorist hijacking that went wrong. But it looks like lots of Chinese have been killed.
How to survive out of Thailand Alive in legal way?
