  1. True Alfie i forgot you are just our feeder club smile.png you never buy anyone over two bob.

    DAVID MOYES clap2.gifcheesy.gif

So what did AVB do for you, blow a 7 point gap on arsenal and let them have champions league instead of you lot.

We will give Moyes a chance and we will all see if he is up for it or up for the sack, he gets my 100% backing and i am sure the majority of reds will do the same.

Money on Solksjaer for EFC. Ready made replacement for Moyes in two years? EFC + Feeder = MUFC + Future biggrin.png

  2. I was reading that If Reina goes to Barca - Tello could be come the other way. How often do these types of deals ever come off, player swap plus cash?

There is certainly dialogue between LFC and Barca at the minute. Sergi Canos (highly rated striker/winger) has already arrived and Tello could join him with Reina going the other way. Reports in Bosnia state Begovic is going to LFC so that would back this up. Especially as Butland has already been promised Stoke No1 spot next season.

i like you already mate, you should post more often.

we seem to be all over the massive lad papadopoulos from schalke. big unit of a centre back. replacement for skrtel, who will probably be off this summer.

Cheers Stevie. Papa has been looked at as well as others (Kolo Toure has signed as Jamie's replacement afaik). I like him but he has a dodgy injury at the moment so not sure he'll pass a medical. (No more Aquillanis/Carrolls please!!!)

yeah unless utd see begovic as a significant improvement and with butland turning down other clubs, siting he didn't want to sit on the bench, to go to stoke,it all sort of makes sense if your assuming Valdes is leaving

Valdes talking with Monaco. Man U happy with the donut stealer. I actually think that LFC gave Stoke a free run at Butland in January in return for 1st option on Begovic.

  5. Great Sunday Roast at "Bees Place" near Phala Beach. Head down towards the beach (Tesco Road) and turn left at the telephone box just before the roundabout at the end of the road. (If you miss it go around the r/bout and take 1st right. About 200 metres up the soi on left hand side (just past the large house). No big sign, look for the pale orange container with outside canopy. Today was roast beef/lamb, roast and mashed potatoes, yorkshire puds and 3 veg + gravy. Including 2 beers was 300 baht. Recommended.

  6. Recently tried Bella Vista in it's new location.

Food as usual was excellent although it is a little on the expensive side but they do serve large portions.

There is a more economical but still excellent tasting daily menu prior to 18:30 for 195 Baht and they do an assortment of pies with chips and veggies for 180 Baht.

It is no longer a beautiful view though as it is situated next to a creek which runs into the sea. While it appears to be clean and is not smelly there are a lot of insects in the area which are inevitably attracted to the bright lights of the restaurant.

So you might find some extra protein in each mouthful of food and resemble a windmil while waving your arms around to chase them away.

Tried it the other week...it appears to be a Greek Restaurant now judging by the amount of plates being smashedbiggrin.png . When we walked around to the entrance the owner? said "sorry closed tonight...domestic problem!!!"

  7. ^^

Cheers Fletchsmile. Got one going on another forum: Classic League code is: 116076-29667. H2H code is 116076-29679

You are welcome to enter either. Doesn't seem much interest on TV this time so join mine instead on TDthumbsup.gif. All are welcome..

  8. From what I was told, if you are not working and therefore have no income other than student grant etc, you should be nailed on once she gets her National Insurance number!! You should put your claim in asap for Housing/Council Tax Benefit and where it asks for the NINO, state applied for. If successful, your claim is valid from the date of application. If you wait until you get the NINO you may lose out on a few weeks/months!!

  9. To update the last post, I have spoken with a benefits officer and the following may be the best way forward.

If your wife is allowed to work she should apply for a National Insurance number (if she has not done so already).

Once she does this, you can make a claim for Main Council Tax Benefit and she will then be treated as your partner for the purposes of the claim. Depending on your household income (you do not mention if you are working as well as studying) you may receive Council Tax Benefit to cover the remaining 75% liability once your own discount has been taken into account. If you are a tenant, you may also receive assistance with your rent.

    Hope this helps

  10. The bad news is that the "spouse" disregard only applies where the student him/herself is from abroad. I assume you are a UK citizen and therefore your wife will not qualify if this is the case. YOU will be disregarded for Ctax purposes and therefore can claim a 25% discount but If you were a foreign student, you would get 100% exemption. Good old UK!

As stated earlier in the thread, best bet is to contact your local council but don't take an initial no for an answer - most customer services staff know little about Revenues & Benefits Legislation. Ask to speak to an experienced benefits officer as It may be worth looking into something called 2nd Adult Rebate.

Normally this benefit is paid up to a maximum of 25% but as you would get this much as a discount, you would not normally qualify. However, where a student is concerned, I am pretty sure that 2AR can be paid to cover 100% of liability. What is more is that you as the liable person, and not your wife, would be the claimant and you are entitled to public funds - albeit based on the 2nd adult's income. The only problem is that your partner may not be allowed to be considered as a second adult as it normally applies to non-dependants. A benefits officer should be able to advise in detail.

Another idea may be to enrol the missus on an English course. Most colleges will supply certificates confirming full time courses even if the hours spent at the college are less than the 21 hrs required by Council Tax. You could possibly fit her hours of tuition around your own to cover child care (I don't know (m)any students who do 40 hr weeks!!! ) This will mean you are both classed as students for Ctax purposes and will qualify for a full exemption.

    Good Luck

  11. ^ Hey Dutchscouser. Great for Holland to win (especially for Dirk!) but don't forget Robben's antics at Stamford Bridge not so long ago. Judging by the Jump ( not even a dive!!) that created the first goal the scroat hasn't changed. I bet Pepe (Reina) will buy Melo a drink next time they meet:D

Don't mind who wins Ned v Ur but I do hope someone kicks the cheat into row z!!

  12. Singha Park Khon Kaen might be the best course unless you are planning on the first week in December as a Pro-Tournament has been arranged. It is brand new and as I'm still in UK, I havent played it yet. No idea if they have rooms there. It is a few K's South of the city. Google it for photos.

Another course (about 12k) West is Dancoon, this course isn't too bad and does have a hotel attached if you need to live at the course! Bit boring in the evening tho'

Best bet may be to base yourself in KK itself at the Pullman (exSofitel) or Charoen Thani and drive to the courses. There is another course up at Ubol Rat Dam (50k North of KK) which is enjoyable. Another further North is Victory Park but this is the other side of Udon.

I think the decent Korat courses are South of Nakhon Ratch so will be out of reach.

    Hope this helps.
