I needn't have worried????...Outplayed an in form Newcastle in all areas of the pitch. Only criticism is that we should have scored a few more. Started brightly and a great tackle by Jimmy Milner helped set up Naby for a beautifully taken goal. From then on, although it was only a slender lead, it was one we never looked like relinquishing. A hard fought, fully deserved 2-0 victory against a team using every trick in the book to frustrate and provoke our lads. We remained patient and eventually got the reward of three points. Feigning injury, diving, time wasting and niggly, the trickies reminded me of a certain Diego Simeone side! Not too many top performances but a mention for Thiago who made more passes than the entire Everton team and had a 98% success rate. Robbo for breaking the deadlock and Alisson for his brilliant mimicking of Pickford's continuous time-wasting but I give the MoM to Origi. In what will probably his last Derby game, he came on and had an immediate effect, playing a part in the first goal and scoring the second.
