  1. to screw into? What do you mean by that isn't the pipe supposed to be delivered with the o2 censor you're not trying to tell me that we can use the old o2 sensor from the original pipe?

I am sorry I am not sure what your talking about.

I have a hunch you may be confusing a catalytic converter with an O2 sensor

Wait I will explain to you soon I'm just going to have lunch

  2. Tell me if I'm wrong. those cheap pipes that are not top branded that sells here in Thailand don't have a o2 censor on them.

If you mean the threaded hole somewhere in the header assembly for the sensor to screw into...Yes,

    Some do not have them

Which is why some folks Like Pekky's sells headers that have been drilled & a threaded piece added

Like the one I post below they sell for 4000 baht

But, If you look at better headers with the hole they have also bulged that area I believe

to make up for the lack of strength at that point in the pipe the hole created.

The Devil like I had you can see is bulged where they put the hole

Not much stress there so probably all right either way but just something I noticed.

I have seen it mania. It looks stronger and better than k speed ones as it is connecting from three different mount points. But it blocks the beautiful engine and people say their knees are touching it. I am not sure for this though.

Is it actually attached to the frame? Hard to see but looks like only the engine.

I have seen this in real. The brand was moth Racing. My first thought was that it does connect three points indeed but right behind the slider itself there's nothing so by that time of a hard impact I believe it could bend or even cut off in worse situations. I still think that the single mount that K speed offers seems to be a more strong and durable one. And the guy that had this on his bike said that it was better for the knee positioning as he said that the model from K speed was touching his knees and this one didn't. I know it's hard we don't have too many sliders to choose from anyway so maybe you'll be better off buying something.

  4. was about to go for yoshimura r 77 and about to pay 900 usd with tax and shipping but encountered with this pipe.

name of the brand is "bluekraft".

it is hand made by a thai guy. actually welds look neat and it does not look like a tin can but you never know though. liked the blue tint as well and looks better than k speed knock of looking ones for sure and it is compact which is good for traffic.

it weights 2.5 kg so if i get it my bike will lose 5 kgs and reach 189 kg.

it is 4999 thb for slip on and 8999 for full system. but can pay the headers later as the guy is still doing them.

dont want to pay 900 usd for yoshi. not a good feeling to pay shipping and taxes same as the price of the pipe, not a good feeling. other choice in thailand is 18500 thb two bros! and i dont like its design.

i know this time i wanted to go for a good recognized brand but cannot justify to pay 30,000 thb for a pipe on a 200 k thb bike. besides, there is a chance that i might get a better bike next year too or cbr650r might show up.

besides tired of waiting for a pipe and just want to buy something right away.

there is a video too and it does not sound different from other pipes much.

any advices? do i go forward and order one?

thanks in advance for your replies.

    I like it a lot!

Let me know how you got on as that is definitely on the top of my list if Tyga can't pull their fingers out.

Hell yeah for that price I could even considering buying it even if I didn't like the blue tint that much!

As this is not a top brand pipe how does it work with that 02 sensor?

  5. I will post some pics of my Astars copies i bought from big wing.

I am a little surprised BigWing sells a copy

You know when I bought my TCX boots it said made in Vietnam

inside so I thought sheesh a copy?

As I thought they were all made in Italy

I was a bit pissed as I had asked

if they were authentic & the seller said yes.

So I emailed TCX Italy & asked

They wrote back right away & said please send pics of inside & labels etc

    which I did.

Then they wrote back & said yes it is their product & how did I like it.

I wondered because my 1st email basically asked if they made their boots in VN

but she would not answer till I sent pics with the numbers from labels etc.

Was good though that they answered promptly & were very courteous

mania did u buy the tcx from panda rider? i have been leaning on to get the tcx gore tex ones. post-63766-13711275699635_thumb.jpg

  6. i bought dianese two piece leather track suit but it is impossible wear it on streets. just too hot.

for the street just buy a full mesh one. yes i know, one accident and it will dissolve but we do not make an accident everyday anyway.

did u mean a 2 piece mesh suit? I haven't seen any full textile suits!

  8. The way it reads is that both the G-liner and Z-liner are some sort of chemical barrier, but the Z-liner is applied to a separate film or piece of fabric that it adheres to and is then placed between the liner and the main shell of the jacket, where the G-liner is applied to only the standard jacket liner.

Of the two jackets above, in Thailand I would definitely go for the Tornado as it's made specifically for hot weather, while the Tarmac is geared more toward keeping you warm (and the Z-liner most likely blocks air-flow).

Thx alot for explaining that! I appreciate it. What do you think about a full race suits made of leather that is for track use if I'm to use it mostly of the track really being nice or will it just be a pain in the ass?

Sent from my GT-N7100 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app

  9. or maybe i should get a full one piece leather race track suit with those ventilation holes at legs and elbow and also at the speed hump. it will get wet in rain but a separate full rain suit can cover that. im sure when we talk sbout safety this is as safe as we can get with riding gear or maybe kevlar is even more strong compared to leather? i read kevlar was 5 times stronger than steel, but that was on a website selling kevlar suits and ofcourse they do wanna tell that their stuff is great and might only be some real bed time stories.

  10. hey guys! does anyone knows the difference of rev it's g-liner vs z-liner? its a water proof inner line wear for their jackets but i cant understand the difference with their products. im not a english native speaker so maybe thats why.

here is a link to their page explaining all their products materials http://www.motorcyclegear.com/info_pages/revit_materials_information.html

thx alot for any help. much appreciate.

According to your link (which I think you meant to post on another thread;)) the G-liner is actually a chemical application applied to the lining of the jacket while the Z-liner is a separate layer of protection that goes between the lining and the shell of the jacket- I would guess the difference between a 'basic' level of weather protection vs. a 'high-level' of protection has to do with how long it will take before the rain breaches the jacket and reaches your inner clothing- for an hour or less in the rain, the G-liner would probably be fine- for all day, I would go for the Z-liner (which of course will be more expensive, and probably less breathable).

if i understand you correctly now the g liner is like a spray of water proof chemical rather than textile itself and the z liner is actually real textile that is water proof? if the g liner as as u say a chemical application applied to the lining of the jacket then it should have a reduce life time of effectiveness right? this sounds to much sience to me know lol. lets say in easy words of understanding unthink the z liner is more quality gear for rain purpose and the g liner should be less effective and take less amount of water before it gets wet.

could you pls have a look at these two models and tell me what you think? its g vs z here and price is about the same.

    post-63766-13711145001305_thumb.jpg tornado this is g

    post-63766-137111452416_thumb.jpg tarmac h20 this is z

  11. maybe i should have said that im looking for a riding gear 2 piece textile with good air and also rain conditions but as good safety as possible. i have been looking into panda riders riding gear and rev it seems to have some deacent options. its raining often in thailand so the gear must be good for raining conditions.

what do you guys think tell me what you are using! share the love in here! lool

  12. Went into Big Wing (Pattaya) yesterday.

Waiting time for a (red) CBR 500 F (the naked one) is probably 0 days, maybe a week. Typical vague answer.

They do an insurance deal for 9,500 Baht for one year but didn't ask the details.

They will part-ex a CBR 150 Ri but didn't ask the details.

Does anyone have latest waiting times for the F or perhaps the X (might change my mind)?

Has anyone bought this insurance deal from Honda?

Pretty sure I will go ahead with this later in the year. The government with its tax increases changed my mind for me on the er6n.

About the insurance I can say that insurance is good if you need it but if you don't it's just a waste of money

  13. Anyone know how much more windier it is on the F than the R since there is no windshield?

I haven't ridden the F model but I had I Street Fighter before and I can tell you this when you don't have a windshield its like a storm trying to rip you off from your bike. However if you're cruising in Bangkok traffic and you try to keep the speed below 120 I think you should be fine I'm talking speeds about 130+ there will be alot of struggling with the wind pressure. Even with thr cbr I feel its hard above 120 130 kmph. You have to bend down and put your body like in a moto gp race lol.

  14. Wow I am a bit surprised buy that 12000 km oil changes.

This is not synthetic oil is it?

There was one other I suppose at 1000km so basically 11,000KM/6835 miles since last change

Folks can follow the Honda recommend I'm sure as they designed it.

But I tend to go 3200KM/2000 miles on my bikes & change. Old habits I guess.

I put the synthetic oil at 1k service by Honda's recommendation. I know some people like to wait abit longer before they do that. I dont know but I just thought I want the engine to have some good oil inside that machinery.

Sent from my GT-N7100 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app

This is just my opinion but they were wrong to steer you into synthetic at such an early mileage

It is not that Synthetic is better but it has its purpose.

That purpose does not agree with being used in an engine that has not been bedded in yet.

You will not see any harm from such an early change but you may loose some benefits of a stronger running engine

achieved by proper seating/sealing of all parts before switching to synthetic oil.

    Again just my opinion

Next oil change would it matter if I filled it with non synthetic oil?

  16. I'd be a bit wary of buying something like that for 990b off the net. Better to see what you're buying in person when it comes to something like that.

I bought it from an authorised Givi dealer........

    Cool.

    Except for one thing.

    It isn't made my Givi.

They have the same nameless local made one for the CBR150 & 250 for 950b.

The Givi ones, with Givi written in the title and all over the poster for them are 2000 and 3000b for the 150/250.

    Link

The 9xx baht ones are the nameless local made ones. One reason why I don't really buy off the net.

It of course may be fine, but I personally prefer piece of mind when it comes to something big and heavy attached to the back of my bike that may come off and cause a serious accident.

actually I think you gotta point there I was thinking that if you used these copy it might not be as strong as the original and if you have also have a Givi top box that is also a copy and then you let your girlfriend leaning her back on it and then when you drive at least 130 kilometers per hour you don't want that shit to break. I think the bracket itself its not a big concern it is more the top box itself that is maybe the one you should be scared of. Once that bracket is installed maybe you can hang on it and put a lot of force to see if it seems to be strong enough. Or you just use this box for personal use and you never let any girl friends leaning her back on it ha ha.

  17. I wanna confirm that it says 2012 in year of make. But the date of registration is 2013. But the year of make of this bike is 2013 isn't? ?

    Your a bit confused

When speaking about a vehicle there are many terms

You are asking the date of manufacture.....Then of course if sold in early 2013 it will likely be 2012

How else can they sell a bike in Jan 2013 if not?

BUT......That is not the same as the Model Year which is 2013 or 2556

So it is a Honda Model 2013 CBR500r

Date of Manufacture will of course likely be in 2012 if bought in the first half of 2013

That does not make it any less a 2013 Model

Date of manufacture is not the same as Model Year for bikes or cars etc.

Lastly you will also have date of FIRST Registration which in your case of course will also be 2013/2556

Yeah I know that model year and date of manufacturing is 2 different things. Maybe I have to wait until I have the real book before making any further conclusions. As I have only the scan of 3 sides from the book, but I doubt there will be any changes.

    Add to this....

was just on the phone with my gf and told her to read it again haha.

It says in thai "loon pee" wich means year of make (model year). So am I good or is this not wrong?

  18. Also they haven't filled in many parts like the hp and the weight of vehicle. In cars they do fill in the weight and cc but maybe not the hp here in thailand.

Everything else is correct though. Color and all that stuff.

  19. Yeah that's what I thought. If anyone here got 2013 in their book please state it here. Thx.

You may not have 2013 in your green book on page 4 but how about page 5?

Does it show a Thai Month & the year 2556? If so that is 2013

If it shows 2055 then 2012

Also on page 4 upper left corner may have 2556 after day & month in Thai  also which is date of reg ( วันจดทะเบียน )

It would not affect your resale price as there is no such bike as a 2012 CBR500 X or F etc

I'm gonna try to ask my gf or someone in my buildings office to read it for me so I can check it out.
