I was only speaking to my wife about the footpaths mostly everywhere you go in Thailand. I said it would be a sight impaired persons nightmare. Even in Hua Hin where I went for a holiday there were large iron types of grates over some of the holes in the footpaths. In other cities the pavements are not level and venders carts block the footpaths. There are trees growing in the niddle of the walkways and some times a pedestrian road bridge starts in the middle of the footpath too.

I knew a guy who had a hair transplant. I knew him for around 10 years, you could see his tufts of hair in his scalp. It never got any better looking in all those years.
The besy transplant I have seen was Eddie Charlton,s the snooker player. Umfortunatley he has passed on. I think he had the job done in America.

12 pennies = one shilling
2 shillings = one florin.
5 shillings = one crown.
twenty shillings = one pound ( currency)

Speaking of Cholesterol in around 1991 I went to the doctors for some reason ( Cannot remember what). He suggested I have a Cholesterol test. Bad news. He prescribed Lipitor medication.(Atorvastatin
40 Mg. I moved from that area to another and the doctor put me on 80 mg. as my Cholesterol had increased. After taking all those tablets for 20 years I had to have a triple bypass. Did I waste my money or would I have had to have a bypass earlier?

I remember Woolworth's store in My home town in England. It was next door to Marks and Spencers store. During the second world war. Woolies used to get a batch of ice cream in periodically and to me it was marvelous.I remember too that it had a three penny and six penny sign outside. I heard there is no Woolies in England now.

If you have no coca cola or soda you can use cooking salt in very hot water. Then dry the battery terminal off and the battery lead ; then smear vaseline on them and replace.

I purchased a new Mitsubishi Lancer 1.6 with factory fitted C.N.G. The C.N.G. was so hard to obtain an I spent so much time queuing for the gas I sold the car and bought another new Mitsubishi this time with a 1.8 engine. Whilst on their forecourt I noticed another car same as mine with L.P.G. So I had L.P.G. fitted and did not get one word from Mitsubishi admonition me from doing this, When I have had a service from the L.P.G. installer within a couple of days the Icon engine light appears on the panel. I have to go back to have a computer adjustment made for it to be cleared. Now it is happening that the engine icon appears and after a few days it disappears on its own. I read in the car manual under "Fuses" I have three of these engine icons. There are listed over 50 fuses.
Technology gone berserk.

If the test was with a machine do not rely on it. My first wife had the test which appeared free of cancer. When she was examined by a good doctor they found a small lump in her breast. I turned out to be a cancerous cell which they removed successfully.

Hi, Last week I posted a question regarding my Mitsubishi Lancer E.X. 1.8 liter engine with L. P.G. fitted. ( 28000 kilometers) Now on third set of spark plugs. I read with interest that it is quite normal, to fit new spark plugs every 10,000 kilometers.
My wife's niece who drives a Proton 1.6 liter, fitted with L.P.G. is on her second set of spark plugs. Her odometer is showing 100,000 kilometers, plus. How can there be such a vast difference in the life of spark plugs using L/P/G ?

We purchased a new Mitsubishi Lancer 1.8 Liter . We had L.P.G. installed. Only done 28000 kilometers and on third set of sparks plugs already. Anyone know why?

I own A Mitsubishi Lancer 1.8 litre engine. I have just completed 30 000 kilometers. Obviously it would have had new spark plugs when delivered. Around a month after taking delivery we had L.P.G. installed. We have had it regular servicing done at the Mitsubishi dealers. After about six or seven months when we took it to the dealers for a service they informed us it required new spark plugs. They fitted them. Last week whilst driving in the city, when setting off from being stationary the car was grossly under powered and stalled around 7 times. I returned it to the L.P.G,. installer. After inspecting the car he stated it required new spark plugs. The ones he fitted, on the spark plug box it stated they were suitable for C.N.G. and L.P.G. engines. Normally spark plugs last me at least 30 to 40 thousand Kilometers. Is there any motor engineers reading this post? If so could please throw some light on this post. I had a Mitsubishi Lancer 1.6 liter before this one. Completed the same kilometers before upgrading to this present car, The 1.6 car used factory installed C.N,G.Never changed spark plugs. Also to compare, my wife's niece bought a Proton vehicle at the approximately the same time as I purchased the 1.8 and she has driven around one hundred an ten thousand kilometers with only one new set of spark plugs fitted.
Thank you for reading this and your feedback. Gerry.

Regular I see a car or ute parked halfway across a pedestrian crossing and another one reversed up to it covering the other half of the crossing. On the opposite side of the road there are several motor cycles parked on the crossing. You have to get off the crossing to cross the road and when on some crossings I have nearly been run over by motor cycles. Why do they have pedestrian crossings. The police ignore the culprits.

Perhaps they require a firework up their Aperture. Or maybe claim money back from losing t.v supply. A class action wouldn't go amiss. I wish they would get some fierce competition. Is it the expensive T,V. there is??

Hi I purchased a Garmin Nuvi 2465 ,model. it was second hand but nearly new, still under warranty. The instructions are in Thai and I have more trouble and problems getting it to show me the way to go than you can shake a stick at. There is a road that a friend showed to me that runs between two more ways home. If I use it I save around 30 kilometers. Why does not the Garmin suggest this way home? Another thing ,how do you cancel the trip you are doing so you can alter you destination? I have tried to change my trip several times and cannot appear to change it, I close it down, type in cancel trip and other things nothing works. Any advice would be welcome. Once I programmed it for a certain place I arrived . Good I thought. Then I programmed it for home . I t started off and after around an hour I ended up where I had started from. Was I p. off!

I inquired about bringing my car to Thailand (R.H.D.). They asked for $33000.00.dollars It was 3 years old. It was a V.W.golf. with 30,000 Km. on the clock. I declined and sold it off cheap for $17,000.00. They want more to bring it in than what it costs new.

Yesterday I had to visit the hosp[ital to have a dressing changed. I came out of the hospital and noticed a man going towards his car. What struck me was his right leg looked only around 50 mm thick. Then I noticed he had a round piece of stick fastened to his leg. He must have been using this setup to help him drive the vehicle. I wonder if this is permissible ?
why donnt people move at green lights

Having most of my 61 years of driving,I always preferred manuel vehicles. I have owned two automatics .one for around 2 months and the other for around 6 months. Then I came to live in Thailand. My wife could expertly change gear up and down withour clashing the gears but had no idea WHEN to change up or down. I had to say ,change up or change down. So we ended up getting a car with an automatic gearbox. Now an automatic is not supposed to stall when you take off from a standing start. Mine used to stall sometimes three times in a row. I felt like a learner driver whilst cars were honking me. The problem is you cannot disengage the clutch and flick the starter, you have to find neutral or park, then Start the engine then select drive again . When you have done this procedure 3 times running you feel a bit of a charlie. Hopefully it has been sorted out.
