  1. Problem is that Sex crimes are not dealt very harshly in Thailand as in the west - there focus seems to be more on drugs.

Basically its nothing that a good 12" inch spanner around the guys head wouldn't fix - positive that the girl wasn't murdered and that they got the guy responsible - interesting to see the final outcome I guess.

I really do feel for the victim though:(

  2. Most staff laid off and suppliers refusing to supply ?

No money to continue but not bankrupt ?

Insolvent not bankrupt yet - but sounds like if they can't trade out of it thats the next step - Island is to small and if they could get back on there feet again, I doubt that they would have the golden run that they had before with there good reputation.

If I was a gambling man I know where my beats would be

Feel very sorry for all the people involved in this mess.

  3. You can build your cabinetry in front of it, but I did this and frankly found it more trouble than it was worth because it uses more space when you need to open, and the dryer needs to "breathe". Also, if you are used to a combo and like the drying it can do, fine, but my experience of these types is that the dryer element is very inadequate, no matter which brand.

Cheers I know we can build it the idea to go with integrated because its easier and tidier.

I had a quote from someone and now they are telling me the are not available in Thailand I don't believe it! Typical Thai thong - told him if I find one in Thailand there will be trouble lol

  4. Must be in the same machine not 2 separate - In have seen them in Europe but not in Thailand does anyone know if they can be brought or does anyone have one that they have purchased in Thailand??

  5. This isnt a serious thread surely

    It is.

By the way, a ski jumping committee is considering to include Samui in the World Cup Ski Jumping Tournee. A team came with their snow producing devices to inspect the Samui hills already and they were pleased by what they saw.

Yes - Winter Olympics Bid for 2028 - Cool Runnings Samui

And for all you doubters there will be an article pics of concepts appearing in the Samui Express next month.

    :)

  6. Samui could not handle the logistics vehicles needed to hold an F1 race never mind putting down a race track. I for one would love to see Thailand have a world class race track that could attract F1. It would bring in a lot of business to a country in need of it. I have been down the the Malaysian F1 4 times now and makes for a great long weekend.

there was some talk a while back of a Red Bull racing track on a 5,000 Rai site in Hui Hin..... and also the possibilty of one just north of phuket on a 2,000 Rai site ... but 2,000 Rai is the min needed

    Hi

I can in fact confirm that this is true, my spy in FIA Paris HQ confirms that Mad Max is intent on having a GP there. He is not concerned about the size of the facility as he will only have 8 cars competing after the departure of the FOTA teams.

Apparently it will be called Circuit Thaksin after the illustrious Ex PM who has put up the readies. :)

    TBWG :D

Yes I can confirm that MAD MAX will be racing - There will be a launch party in the coming months so please stay tuned - Bernie Ecclestone will be arriving in the coming months to sign off on the track concept.

    Hold onto your hats!

    F1 is here to stay!

  7. Samui needs zoning, proper infrastucture, crime prevention not just attending reported crimes and scamming people. The last few years have seen boutique resorts and holel chains bring more and more family's couples to the Island. These i fear will not be return visitors as once they strp outside the resorts the real Samui is waiting. Years of neglet as officials have creamed of money that should have been invested in infrastructure and local services.

After the recent turmoil Samui needs a real positive image boost, move the girly bars to a zoned area and get the ladyboys and girls for hire of the main strips. Increase ploce numbers and visibility and smarten them up. Have taxi ranks instead of hundreds of rip of artists beeping thier horn at everybody on foot.

Well i'll stop now but i could go on.

P.S. Well done to Bangkok Airways for thier promotional Fares

Yeah the Ploce your never see them - mmm but I have seen the Police - I got pulled over them other night and was stripped search buy guys in Camo gear anyone know who that could have been

  8. Not only tourists suffer from not having a job in Europe Australia etc and not so much money for travel. Also people living in Thailand with a pension or savings now must not spend so much with a very strong Baht. My man only got 45 baht for one pound with his bank yesterday. befor 2 years he got 70 or more. Thailand is very expensive now for tourists. Return fklight to BKK from Samui 9,000 Baht, that is almsot 200 pounds....too expensive. Everywhere will suffer not only Samui or Thailand but all tourist destination worldwide. :o

They are doing a special THANKs fare atm - 2750 Bht One Way to BKK - 5500 Bht Return

Guess that helps a little, be interesting to see how long they run with this.

Hopefully the western $-Pound-Euro get a little stronger over the next months this should hel as well but probably unlikely to move much.
