  1. DIY isn't possible as the procedure is quite involved and takes about 2-3 hours, with two separate colors / tones and tons of aluminum foil. A skilled person needs to do this.
  2. Just to get more exposure, I'd like to make you girls aware of two threads I started in the Phuket forum to gather recommendations for hair and nail salons in Phuket:
  3. Ladies, in addition to my hair salon thread, I'd like to also collect the latest recommendations for nail salons. I'd be looking for a salon that does Shellac / UV cured nail polish thinly on top of a natural nail and does it well with a good choice of colors or perfect french manicure with UV polish. A place where they are careful when removing old Shellac / UV polish, so that they don't take off too much of the natural nail. I'm not looking for gel extensions or acrylic. Location wise, the south of the island or around Chalong / Central would be ideal.
  4. A question for ladies in Phuket with thin and fragile hair who regularly go to get blonde color done. Where do you go in Phuket? Please recommend a hair stylist who has a lot of experience with thin, Western hair. I have long hair and would like to keep it. Yet I need to color it blonde to hide some grey hair every once in a while. It's important that the salon doesn't bleach the hair or uses too strong products that might be fine for thick, black Thai hair to bleach, but might destroy Western hair. They also should generally make sure not to rip out hair or try to brush out knots after washing. Perhaps let the customer untangle the hair themselves. It can take a long time for my long hair so they need to be patient and not kick me out haha. When cutting they should be able to listen and not thin out the ends like they tend to do with Thai hair, just a straight cut.
