I' happy I don't live in a Tourist area. My wife buys food and we eat at home. So I don't run across that. I would imagine It happens here. I only notice it a the Parks.

Never got to see the video. When I was a kid punishment threatened was a the school principal applying a paddle to rear end in a rapid and forceful manner.
Truth is it never happened just the thought was enough.
As to kids behavior that is done by parents not teachers.
Punching a kid shouldn't happen.
I would like to see the video anyone got a link

Reminds me of the movie the mouse who roared. More then likely the world will cave and give him more money

Rossi and the Yamaha team riders will be practicing at Buri Ram Chang International Speedway on Fed 7 & 8th. It seems Yamaha will start opening biog Bike Dealerships in Thailand. No fee for watching the practice.

Credit card theft is so easy, when is the last time any clerk asked to see more then the plastic, Unless these two guys look one heck of a lot alike Asian to Asian, the card should not have been issued ion the first place.
It 78K baht to file a Court Case and get the money back, 60K in filing fees and a few years of waiting to get to court. The bank knows he can't do that, just had all of his savings stolen. You can bet if they they were dealing with someone who could fight back things would go easier.
Does that consumer protection agency still exist?
Seems like the only hope for this guy..

Nincompoops. The Thai public may one day cease being to tolerant of such officials
Lets face it guys this is how Thai's are used to doing business, they like it this way. Or it would have been changed years ago. Every poll that they have ran says Thai's accept graft and it's OK. So we can take shots at them it's easy. We may not like it, just how it is.

Maybe a bit to close to the truth in some cases.

Just a couple of thoughts, Aberdeen is the safe way to go. Although their fees are pretty high, if I understand correctly you want 300K in in 16 years. Honestly not sure that would cover the cost of University now, much less the 16 years from now.
Land is a safe way to go. But, it is not very liquid. I suppose the possibility of borrowing against it might take care of that.
Am I wrong on the 300 K in 15 years?

That is a difficult question to answer, on one hand you have all the infrastructure projects getting under way. But, NPL's and house hold debt is up, running in the 1550 range now. Saw an article on here that said that Thailand is close to recession. But, the SET performance doesn't reflect that, still a lot of foreign money coming in.
Any Thoughts?

This seems to be the only thing the Thai family can't kill. I have one Rai of land I'm trying to determine how many trees I can put on it. We have already found a outlet for them.
I will put 100 fish in my pond this year and pretty much leave them on their own. No more mushrooms to labor intensive for me.
How often do the need to be watered.
When is the best time to plant
Thanks

Non-Immigrant Visas (for those travelling temporarily -- e.g. Travel, Business, Student Visas, etc.)
With the new online application does anyone know what the turn around time is for scheduling
The Appointment?
Visa in hand ready to leave?
My friend think sit can be done in 60 days. I've never done it. But, I don't recall anyone getting one that fast.
anyone got experience with this I don't have clue.
Has this process actually gotten much more simple then it was in the past? -
Lot to read here I want to make sure I understand this, this will be required renewals as well?
Not required for renewal according to the lady at my local DLT yesterday.
Thanks I tried the practice site test failed twice. I have been licensed and riding here for 12 years. worse thing I have ever done a bit to fast depending on road conditions and red lights. Can't figure out what a CPR question has to do with riding it's there. some of the signage question's never have seen the signs before.
I don't mind studying the laws if there is a source to do it from.
Thanks again

Mine transferring dollars from the Thai Bank to France, required a baht conversion to dollars. It was much expensive this time around. But, at that time the baht was losing strength. So I just believed the conversion ran the cost up.
However, the actual cost to the bank for transaction increased dramatically. I haven't looked at my past statements yet. It's quarterly payment I make on my Health insurance. normally around 32K baht this time 35 K

Seem to be a lot of unanswered question's on this one. Maybe time will tell the story maybe it won't. If the stories going around are true, I doubt the administration would want that to come out.
I don't know I wasn't there. Kind of reminds me of the HBO series where the Marine got released and was a terrorist operative. Can't think of the name of it, it was only on for two seasons.
As someone else pointed out some of his squad members are not happy.
I got no opinion on this yet. My Grand Son and Grand Daughter who served in Afghanistan, they have very strong opinions on the subject. They are a lot closer to it then I am. I will wait and see,.

Speed limits in and outside urban area under change to curb traffic fatalities and facilitate driving

Tu truly understand 90 Klms an hour it's 55 MPH led by America to save on fuel had nothing to do with safety. 110 KLMS is 65 MPH. There are certain areas where this will work and others where it won't. I got a ticket for 110 Klms an hour not complaining I earned it. This was on an area on Hwy 12 straight as a arrow. two lanes going each direction. What has happened is to much unsafe passing people trying to get their travels done. So worth a try.
