  1. It is not fake news and your news article is little out of date since it was written in December before the omicron variant changed many things. He was also writing about land border crossings to Laos and they are still closed.
  2. People with re-entry permits have already used 30 days of insurance to get the Thailand Pass and enter the country. When applying for the Thailand pass you do not need to upload anything to prove you length of stay. You do not even have to enter a estimated departure date if you select returning to Thailand when you do the registration for a TP.
  3. If you are applying for a extension of a entry from a OA visa at immigration it will have to be one the listed companies since they can go online to verify your insurance. If applying for a new OA visa at a embassy or official consulate it can be any insurance that meets the requirements.
  4. It has not been 90 days yet since the new site has been available. Maybe next month there will be some reports about it. I see no reason for their being a problem with changing your nationality on your next report. Not sure they pay that much attention to what is on the report. Since it will still show British in the line it will should be OK.
  5. Not visas or extensions related. Moved to the covid 19 forum.
  6. I not sure where I would find that in writing but I do know what they do for people that get infected and the symptoms are minor. They allow them do home isolation until the text no longer have symptoms and have a negative test. I am aware of a case where the entire family was put on home isolation along with the infected person due to the chance they also got infected. Of course entering the country and testing positive would be different but they could also do the isolation at a approved hotel for a few days until they had a negative test and no symptoms.
  7. That goes away if you select returning to Thailand when doing the Thailand Pass registration.
  8. If you select returning to Thailand when doing the Thailand pass registration the estimated departure date goes away. You do not have to upload copies of your tickets when doing the TP. Just get 30 days of covid 19 insurance unless you want longer coverage.
  9. That could depend upon the immigration officer when she enters the country. Showing both passports is riskey. I have seen many posts of immigration forcing a person to enter with their foreign passport. Entering with a expired Thai passport before covid 19 was not a problem before but having to a COE before or now the Thailand Pass changed that.
  10. You apply for it at immigration here as I wrote in my post just before your post. She can enter visa exempt and get a 30 day extension. Entering and getting the one year extension eliminates that problem. It will be much easier to get her passport here after arriving. There are Thai passport offices in all regions of the country and they will mail the new passport to her. Forget that idea. That is a lot of unneeded effort.
  11. You can apply for a 30 day extension of your 30 day visa exempt entry at immigration.
  12. That problem goes away if you use the new site on your mobile browser instead of the app. Link for site: https://tm47.immigration.go.th/tm47/#/login It does not have a pre approval to do the application. There is only one page to complete before submitting your application to immigration. Many people that had the problem with the overstay notice and etc have gotten approvals already. More info is in this pinned topic. Thai immigration launches new online 90 day reporting system
  13. Nothing really since it seems nobody checks it when entering the country. They could deny the Thailand Pass dependent upon what you select here on the registration for it. When you select any of them but returning to Thailand you have this below the above. Source: https://tp.consular.go.th/en/registration It seems to me the meaning of the above is that if you are returning to here you already have ties to Thailand and have the means to pay for treatment of a covid 19 infection after the 30 days.
  14. Only for the first extension of stay can a few months of income transferred into the country can be used. If on a extension already or you have been in the country for some time it has to be a year of transfers. This from the immigration order allowing the transfers option is what immigration uses to deny less than 12 months of transfers.
  15. That was because were using the mobile app that still has a pre approval step of your application. The new site only has one page to complete and the application is sent to your local office for approval.
  16. if the PC insurance will cover up to $50,000 for treatment of covid 19 it would be accepted. If not then she would need to get 30 days of covid 19 insurance. She does not need to show a ticket of Thailand since she will have a re-entry permit for her extension of stay (it is not a visa). A round trip to ticket from here and back is all she needs.
  17. It is applied for at the designated immigration office for where you are staying. She could enter visa exempt using her Australian passport and then apply for the extension. The fee is 1900 baht.
  18. Not sure why the consulate has a visa application on the same page as those that have permanent residency. If married to a Thai you could get a non-o visa and then extensions based upon that and then one year extensions of stay and then find a job to get a work permit and work. Or you if you found a job you could apply for a non-b visa and a extension of stay based upon working. You can only apply for permanent residency at immigration here. Look here for more information. https://www.immigration.go.th/en/?page_id=1744
  19. Most embassies no longer issue the letters requesting the extension. They wants this affidavit completed instead of the letter. 60 Day Covid 19 Extension Affidavit.pdf229.8 kB · 1043 downloads
  20. You get one those residency books after applying for permanent residency and having it approved. You have to be working and paying taxes for 3 years on extensions of stay to apply for it.
  21. You would have to clear immigration and do the Test and Go entry since only a 24 hour transit connection can be done. You have to be fully vaccinated to do the Test and Go. See the requirements for the test and go here the Thailand pass site. https://tp.consular.go.th/ You would have spend one night in a SHA+extra hotel while waiting for a negative covid 19 test.
  22. You are asking your question on the wrong forum. Do a topic on this forum. Visas and migration to other countries
  23. It appears Phuket do not want to do it since November of 2020 according the volunteers website. See: https://tm47.immigration.go.th/tm47/#/login IMO Phuket is violating the immigration rules since there is a immigration order that allows them.
