The info shown on the LA consulate is not correct. You cannot rely on any info on a embassy or consulate website for info about extensions of stay issued by immigration. You will have to prove your income by showing transfers into a Thai bank from abroad to prove your monthly income. Some offices may accept 2 or 3 months of transfers for the first ever extension of stay application but many will want 12 months of transfers. Until 2019 you could of done a affidavit at the US embassy to prove your income but they stopped issuing them in December of 2018.

In what way have they abused them? They must of qualified for them under the written rules or they would not of been issued.

It takes a week or more to get a one year bank statement unless you are in Bangkok. I have gotten one year banks statement form Bangkok Bank here for the past 3 years and none of them were stamped or signed by the bank when I picked them up at the local branch.

It seems you did not update your bank book on a regular basis. To be safe it might be wise to get a 2 or 3 month bank statement as a backup to your bank book. They can do one while you wait for it. Just request it when you ask for the letter from them.

If I recall correctly it was your first extension at CW after applying before at another office. That might of been why they wanted all the extra copies and bank statement. Those should not be required this year. I have seen no reports by others that needed them at CW.

If using the 400k baht in the bank option you only need your updated bank book and a copy of it showing the 400k baht in the bank for 2 months.

You cannot change from a non-b visa to a non-o without leaving the country. You could change the reason for your extension of stay based upon working to a extension of stay based upon marriage

It is not a normal requirement. Apparently something that somebody in charge at that office wants.

Your new extension will start from the day you applied for the extension of stay. They do it that way when you change the reason for your extension of stay. Normally it would start from the day your current extension ends not the report back date on the under consideration stamp.

That is a a link for a Non-OA visa. That requires $100,000 US medical insurance that includes covid 19 coverage. But you only need 90 days coverage fort the Non-O visa application since that is your allowed stay from the visa. That site appears to be out of date. It still shows the old visa on arrival fees. "The Laos visa fee is USD 30 to USD 45, depending on your nationality." The news article posted states this. "Visas provided on arrival for foreign nationals from all nationalities will be charged USD 40, except for Chinese and Vietnamese nationals, when applying for a tourist visa at an international checkpoint, according to the notice."

The statements can only be requested on their mobile app. It cannot be done on the online site. To do it on the mobile app you select accounts and then the account you want it for. Then you click the 3 dots at the top of the page to select statements.

Checking for available dates it appears to be about a month.

September 1st is the date set when the new insurance requirement came out last year. Immigration only needs to do a order stating it is required.
