  1. Only true believer, blinds and clueless didn't saw it coming. The EC decision was on schedule to be announced this month. Abhisit knew it was coming, that make the action of last weekend even more disgusting

Which one are you or can we select more than one option? If I recall correctly the decision was not due this month, but after our red friends paid them a visit and did the intimidation routine they agreed to bring the decision forward to April 20. Today is April 12.

So did they suddenly started working efficiently, or did someone put the screws on the EC to make a decision even faster than the April 20 deadline the reds bullied out of them?

Someone who only needs to ask.

Not kidnap CEO's to get things done.

Right kidnap the whole democratically elected Government when the PM was in UNGA, ok no crime, heros! Kidnap one CEO is very wrong!! Big time crime, correct?

  2. Like I said the PAD stations may be biased, but it isn't Yellow shirts killing soldiers in the streets of Bangkok, it is REDS. Violently overthrowing the government isn't the democratic way to change things. The way that democracy is being used at the moment I'm not sure why anyone would believe in democracy anyway. It doesn't seem to work particularly well.

Of course the yellow shirts and the soldiers won't kill each other. They are on the same side!!!

    Common sense!!

    :)

  3. They will get frustrated. They don't have the majority support or the moral authority to pull off what they are demanding. They do have fermented fish. You figure it out ...

Actually they do have the support, which party got the most votes in the last elections.

    Suggest you rephrase that to:

    - Which party bought massive numbers of votes, and

    - Which party got dissolved for massive vote buying.

And the party was dissolved by the court consisting of Judges by who? An elected group of politicians or a military junta leader who bought down an elected Government?

  4. It's about time!

Where were the burning buses when PAD roamed the streets?

    Where were the burning tyres?

Where were the gas tankers placed in front of apartment blocks and threatened to blow up?

Where were the hijacked military vehicles?

Where were the flying molotow cocktails?

Who smashed the PM's car windows and attacked his driver?

Who shot at uninvolved bystanders, on purpose and to kill..???

Strangely, when the red shirts roam the streets, you get all of the above..... which should tell a lot, but then there's people who still don't understand the difference between a molotow cocktail and a hand clapper.

And, once and for all, stop hiding behind the "airport" excuse. The PAD did never "take over" the airport. They went to the airport to protest, and the airport personnel symphatized with them (as did MANY public organizations!) and simply halted all operations. Nobody forced a single airport worker to stop performing their duty.

If the reds would have gone to the airport it would by now be thrashed and up in flames. The PAD even cleaned it before they left!

    Regards....

    Thanh

Were the Reds violent before the army stepped in?

Did the army do anything when PAD seize the Government House and the airport? If the army did, would you think that PAD will remain "peaceful"?

    Double Standard!!

  5. Thaksin is a convicted criminal? By whom? May I ask?

Convicted by a Kangaroo Court of Judges appointed by a Junta that overthrew a Democratically Elected Government! That is a fair trial, come on!! I think the Thai Kangaroo Court is similar if not worst than the one in Rangoon!

    What a joke!!

    :o:D:D

A joke? Yes that does sum up your comments nicely.

How did you feel when Thaksin was PM and he was cleared by the courts of assets concealment? Do you think the judges acted with impartiality then? Thaksin was quick to hail his victory then, but now he doesn't like the verdict and all of a sudden the courts can't be trusted!

I guess in his eyes, the fact that the lunch-box bribe wasn't accepted, and he wasn't able to muscle his way out of wrong-doings, it must be the courts at fault.

So, you agree with me that the current Court is a Kangaroo one, appointed by the Junta?

Now PAD wants to have a Government that is mostly appointed instead of Elected? That is Democracy?

    What a joke!!

  7. Thanks. I know I wouldn't get a local loan, this is why I wrote 'foreign loan', a loan I would get overseas (personal loan without recourse to the asset).

You are right that I have read since then that very few people report their income, so it may be the easiest solution :o

Regarding your last point, you're not wrong. I did think about a Property Fund... it is true I may want to buy closer to retirement, unless I find good opportunity (someone desperate to sell a good asset).

Well, I know that the United Overseas Bank Singapore and Bangkok Bank provides loans for foreigners to purchase condo in Thailand!!
