  1. Any EVIDENCE that it was Red shirts?

Any EVIDENCE they were instructed by Satan himself, Thaksin?

    Any EVIDENCE?

    No?

    Thought so!

There is no evidence solely because there is no investigation. Some 40 attacks already, and not a single perpetrator identified or arrested by the the police? Get your head out of the (red) sand, please.

Maybe the police just sit back well knowing if you play with fire you may be burnt.

  2. Instead of criticizing, I applause. thanks for the great work. For those who think there is such a huge difference between 3 and 4G.... I think a normal user won't see much of a difference, but will see it on his phone as it will die much faster than 3G. They have not been able to overcome the power consumption issue with the introduction of 4G. So, even tomorrow, I get the choice between 3 or 4G, I'll stick with the 3G just because of the battery life that is once more scarified for a tiny bit of more speed.

Your information could not be more incorrect. When I am in the US using a 4G network, my ACTUAL download speeds are around 9MB, and my uploads average 4MB. Sometimes my speeds on 4G exceed my wireless speeds. So, there is a HUGE difference between 3G, and 4G. Of course, the 3G in Thailand is slower than most. How long till we have 4G in Thailand? Five years? They have had 3G now in rural Africa for years.

    Hello!

4G is 10 times quicker than 3G. And that is the technical fact.

  3. Some people don't want to know the throught. Some people like to believe that these places are heaven on earth.

I tried to wright about negative things with Thailand on a Norwegian forum called Asiaforum but the administrator kicked me out of the forum.

I could hurt many people's feelings was his excuse.

  4. The delivery times you've been quoted sound about right/normal - if you want/need a car sooner than that, my suggestion would be to call Mazda head office and ask them to try and locate a dealer that has the model/colour you're after in-stock.

Exactly, we went to see the Mazda Elegance, really nice car and many accessories included compared to Vios. Dealer was already offering some freebies as rear sensor, tint glass, etc... and we went only to have a look. Another dealer told me to let my number, the day I am decided to buy then she will try to find a car faster.

Actually, this is more or less 2 to 3 months, depending on the colour.

Next step, discussing pricing and credit as I would like Madam to put on her name so we can have the rebate 100,000 Bht. But her salary is sure not enough for this, so we will have to find a way on how to handle it.

PS : after reading a lot about KIA after-sales, and sadly as I really love the small K1 Picanto, I decided to deal with a serious brand-name.

Do anybody know the rools when come to buy the car with downpay and the rest on credit? Can a foreigner pay the downpay and let the rest be in the woman's name? And finally; When we get back the taxmoney after one year,- do we have to use the woman's bank account number? Or can I use my own?
  5. This plan is the best thing ever happened to Thailand. It is the first time I ever have read anything that will get Thailand out of misery. This is the first time I have seen any political thougths from Thai politicians.

And for the comments from this blog:

I know I am correct when I answer the question about which people that goes to Thailand; loosers,loosers,loosers....

  6. In the village where i have my woman everybody seems to start building an insect farm. I have searched the forum and google for info about the issue but can not find anything. Is there anybody with expertise on the subject? I would be happy to learn the most basic thing about it.

  7. Interesting topic, but I have no experience in growing potatoes in Thailand. I know for sure when i become a long term visitor in Thailand I will grow my own potatoes even if I have to smuggle them from Norway.

But I will prefer to do it the legal way.

Someone must know where to find seed potato. ( set potato).

And of cause we are talking about potatoes for dinner meals. Fried-boiled- baked- mashed, whatever.;)

  8. As an ex scaff I have never seen a scaffold in Thailand that I would put my name to. The best scaffolders in the world are the Brits. In the UK you need to be trained to a high standard before you can erect a scaffold. An advanced scaffolder can erect a scaffold to any height. it is only when you start to sheet it in that it needs to be designed by an engineer. Scaffolds tend to collapse as a result of the load bearing design of the scaffold being exceeded. The load bearing of the scaffold is the distance between the upright standards and check fittings etc. Scaffolds tend to topple due to the lack of anchors attaching the scaffold to the building. A picture of the scaffold would also tell a lot.

In the UK the person who built and signed off the scaffold is legally responsible for it. it would also have a tag telling people the maximum loading and any other restrictions and inspected regularly and signed off.

Will anybody here be held responsible for the collapse ? I doubt it

    RIP the guys who died

    Amen to that.

But please dont let it looks thats only brits can build scaffold. Allmost every country will know how to build scaffold if they want to. The problem is that money talks. I have been working on an oilrig in China recently and I can tell you if you have seen the scaffoldwork your hair would turn grey over the night.

And it will be the same with all others safety tasks down here.

But the point is! The yard has all safetypapers in order after western standard, but nobody care to follow them.

I think it will be the same in this matter.

The big question is! How will the journalists follow up this accident? Will it be pictures, interviews, etc?

Nothing will happen in Thailand before the country get journalists and a free press.

  9. Most civilized countries charge for the plastic bags. Maybe except for special brand shops. The commercial affect would be to high for that.

Chain stores like Tesco and others will allways use plastic bags. That goes for all countries.

The big bags are not the problem. They can be used for other purposes also. The small red ones which you see floating everywhere on the streets and in the nature are the problem. Also the packaging from all kind of shit people consume on the streets are left all over.

But,but, - the main problem in Thailand is how to get rid of the garbage. In cities, towns and villages.

There is hardly a waste container anywhere.

And if we had one the problem would be how to get the thai people to use them.

When I grew up in my country ( Norway) the school teacher took us out in the school yard and the nearby streets to pick garbage for putting it in to waste containers. I can not remember that anybody complained because we have to do that.

Most of us was happy to come from the class room.

  10. I am happy to see that Thailand is taken care of the human rights now. To morrow you can start with your neighbour Burma.

Maybe it will be illegal for thai people to sell children to paedophiles also.

Next time I come to Thailand I want the go go bars to be gone.

I dont want to see one more time go go guards and "mother of chicken" dragging children against their will to a fat ugly old buyer.

  11. If the Reds want political reform they should go through the correct channels.

Please remove these red shirts so people can get back to their normal lives.

    "By any means necessary"

Have you heard the story about the black man sitting under the mango tree? Apparently not.

Just tell me, all of you blood thirsty western people; What would happen in your streets if your government removed all social benefits in your country. We all know. Greek would be a kindergarten in comparison. :)

  12. None of us western people would swap our material standard or way of living with the rural pour thais.

There is so many social problems to take care of in the rural areas that nobody see any ending of it.

The most lucky ones is the families that have a good looking daughter to offer a "handsome" farrang.

They are the winners in the village.

There is one good thing with it. The farrangs, me included brings a set of living and material standard to the village that make some of the peasants wake up.

I wish the rural thai people a better life.

Anyway I have to admire them for not showing any kind of mistrust or envy. The smiles look real.

I am not the only farrang building a western style house in the village, but it is very funny to see that after I start building,- lot of the peasants nearby start building new or refurbish existing house.

My experience when it comes to find workers to do some work for me is that they are not confident with western standards.

And believe me. I am following my country's standard which can cause real headache for most people.

But in the end - everything's looks good and proper without me understand the reason.

    :)
