  1. Rainman:

I think the main reason for you not wanting kids is something else , not what you are saying. May be a feeling of being unsecured, of your future, your partnership, not trusting yourselve, whatever.

Overpopulation is not a problem for the societies in the first world. In these countries, there is enough food and children can have a good education. In fact, nowadays we don't have enough kids to full fill the needs of the economy in Europe !

Kids with good education-university degrees. We don't need people from Africa ore wherever, who don´t have a good education or are not willing to integrate in our society. In Germany, half of woman with university degrees have no children.

The most children have Muslim people, especially from Turkey. Most of them are not willing to integrate in our society. even in the 3 th generation, they are not able to speak German in a correct way. At home (in Germany)

they still speak Turkish. Germany is only their second language (born in Germany !) Most of them are not able to get higher degrees in school.

In a ranking for education, Germany loose its place every year. Countries like Singapore, China, India etc. are doing better every year, Germany is struggling to hold the niveau. In Germany, we have now about 1.2 children per couple !

So don´t tell me of irresponsibility of having children. The world is in need of well educated young people like my daughter, who feel responsible for this world.

  3. "theseveredhead" is right: I never saw these rats at the beachroad before. (yes, near soi 10) But on my last visit in june, I saw dozen of rats at one place. And many people nearby (the rats didnt even try to hide themselves). That is not normal ! I think there are now many big rooms under the footpath. They built it for elecricity, waterpipes etc.. I guess, there are nearly thousands of them in these catacombs. What you see, is just the top of an iceberg....

And the thai people (sorry !) feeding them, throwing the rest of their meals just behind the benches...

  4. DRUGS,DRUGS, DRugs

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drugs

laws are made by men (not god !)

laws are different in every country and vary from time to time

Sometimes there is a law, that you will be killed, if you are not willing to kill someone else

(f.e. if your country makes a war)

Or there is a law, that you have to be killed, if you are trying to protect someone from being killed...

laws , whats good whats bad, many different laws and many different oppinions in the world...

  5. facts:

He didnt broke the laws of Thailand !

Staying illegal in Thailand cause Sweden revoked his passport ?!!!

I think, Sweden can not revoke his passport, when he does not stay in Sweden.

Only Thai authorities can do this (take his passport), when he is staying in Thailand. And when thai authorities did not accept his staying in Thailand any more, he can go, where ever he wants.

Its not ok to deport someone, just because another state want this.

f.e.: Would Sweden deport a Thai citizen, who has criticize the military-junta at home, back to Thailand, when the thai authorities would asked for this little favour??

Please no comments, if you have no idea of international laws and fundamental principles of laws.

  6. I did the trip Sihanoukville to Pattaya in december 06. About 11-12 hours for the whole trip. Did pay around 20 Dollars for it. I think we still had to use 4 ferries. The road cant be recommended in rainy season. It was a small bus from Sihan.v. We had to change the bus at the border. We start in Sihan.v. 7 or 8 am (sorry, forget) and did arrive at BKK-busstation(in Pattaya) at 7 pm .

I had no problems. You can buy the ticket in Sih.v. at main bus-station or in guesthouse (I think its cheaper in GH).

I would like to know, where you can buy a ticket in Pattaya for that trip. I think, there is a real chance to get one, cause they are interested to fill the busses for the way back. I think, the price would be a bit higher ...

I did go by air the other direction: about 1200 bht with airasia bkk-phnom penh.20 dollars for visa at the airport in PhnomPhen. The road PhnomPenh to Sih.v. is ok.

Have your breakfirst in Sihan.v. at THE KHMER GOUMET at victory hill: Two young americans did open that small coffee-bar recently. They are very friendly and the coffee is excellent !

And avoid renting a motorbike at SAKAL-Bungalows: They are criminals and I had to pay 20 dollars to get my passport back. They said: "You have accident". I didnt have one and there was no damage at the bike - but I had to pay. To tell all my bad experiences in Cambodia would be a fare too long story... :o
