Yes, it is indeed. -
RegularTourists will not come like this. Only once all barriers are removed, we can think again. Looking at some of the deserted tourist areas, I just wonder what any tourist will do here. Been to some island's beaches recently. Unless, you enjoy total loneliness, you will get bored here very quickly. In the end it's just water, some sand and plenty of sandfly!

Figures stumped out of the ground as usual. Although TAT numbers represent a lot of wishful thinking and gross nonsense at times, one must appreciate that it is really difficult to predict anything in these times. E.g.new variants etc... However, Corona has helped me to adapt some sense of Thai thinking approach: Don't think too mut. At least no further than tomorrow. Cheers

Another day, another nonsense. Returning Expats are labeled as tourists, wishful thinking in terms of rich tourists spending zillion of $$$, nightlife, bars closed, booze ban. Did I forget any? Anyway, I don't really miss any tourists. Feeling sorry for some business owners who rely on this sector. But for many I don't.

Again a typical flip-folp thingy... ???? I hope they do open soon. Cannot wait to listen to live music again with a stiff drink in my hand. Don't really care about the girly bars or clubs.

Thai sex workers call for billion-dollar industry to be recognised
asiasurfer replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
Ah, finally someone gets the numbers right. Yes, of course it's a billion dollar industry by so many aspects! And the government is shooting itself in the foot by not recognizing it. In other countries, sex workers are part of the "regular population". They pay taxes and can claim benefits. Still too rare in this world. Unfortunately. -
