a casino within the country could turn into a haven for criminals who would use it to launder money and it could also lead to other forms of illicit businesses.
This already exists here. The number of illegal casinos owned by the BIB, politicians and Chinese thugs would surprise people here. A new brown envelope factory would have to be set up to accommodate the number of bribes.

Then she has more money than common sense it would appear, or she just doesn't care.
That would be the case of both. She owns multiple properties in the US and has made it clear that she has no time for Government servants. She expects everything done right now. Money is no object. Stupid woman considering she had all the info (PDF) plus the fact that she had the offer of a Thai who was familiar with the workings of Immigration (both BOI and CW) to accompany her to the BOI.

For the next 10 years and then 10 years after that and so on, as long as the program doesn't sunset, I am in a good position and never need to be concerned with traveling in and out and neither will my GF soon to be spouse as her visa will be like mine.
She is very wealthy and doesn't like any type of government bureaucracy at all. The thought of waiting at BOI sent her to look for other alternatives. The amount she paid to an agent is nothing to her.

Wrong physics, no pressure damage at 50 meters as the ship is fully flooded - the pressure is equal on both sides of the hull.
You are assuming that there were no airtight spaces in the vessel when it went down.

We were warned this was going to happen, it was all over the Thai news a month ago. People were warned to stock up on basic meds as there was a shortage in China and once the Chinese were let out their number one purchase would be meds.

Ordinary Thais hate the BIB as much as a foreigner who has been ripped off by them.

I advised to go to the BOI, gave her all the details yet she said she couldn't be bothered. She said it was far easier to pay an agent.

The committee, chaired Adm. Adung Phan-iam, commander of the Thai fleet, would have to follow the procedure and get final approval from the Defence Ministry
Who is the Minister of Defence? Now approval with be dependent on at least 20% going into his coffer.
Stupid idea. The vessel will be never fit for service again. The water pressure at 50 meters will do untold damage to the hull. It was not built as a submarine.

I know a wealthy Yank who has purchased numerous properties here (2 x Condos as well as a house (under a Thai name)) who could easily meet the USD500k requirements and yet she choose to pay an agent for a retirement extension. She said it was easier and less hassle.

If a foreigner was caught DUI you can bet he wasn't given probation. He would have been made to go to the nearest ATM under the supervision of the BIB and made to draw out the maximum possible.

TAT have got to produce a news release every day, regardless of how how stupid it is.

I don't understand why people would sexually molest children. Prostitution is everywhere in Thailand and it's easy enough to get some pussy. Why do adults, mostly males have to attack children? Chemically castrate the offenders or better still kill them.

Just like the Red Bull @rsehole, money will sort this out. The first to be paid are the BIB for not testing him (DUI), then the rest of his victims will have to probably fight for adequate compensation. This is the way of Thai's who are rich.

Lock them up, extract compensation, deport them and blacklist them for life.

It was certainly a convenient place for a vaccination centre being that the Red Line stopped there (for us anyway). I wonder what they are going to do with all that vacant space on street level?

Sound like someone didn't get a brown envelop stuffed enough or for goodness sake, didn't get a brown envelop. This will go away when the envelop problem is fixed.

No seatbelt or airbag ?
Looks like a model that should have had both. Probably not wearing seatbelt Airbag maybe disconnected? I don't how or why you would do that. I know plenty of people who disconnect the alarm when no seatbelt is connected.

PHEU THAI LEADER Chonlanan Srikaew today (Jan.8) categorically denied the largest opposition party’s rank and file had ever planned to bring former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra back home on condition that they become government after the next general election.
So they are definitely planning on bringing Thaksin and Yingluck back under a complete amnesty.

So China, um sorry Sri Lanka is talking about a FTA with Thailand? Sri Lanka got what it deserved when it signed up to China's B&R program knowing full well that it could not repay China. Corrupt politicians are not only in China and Thailand, they are everywhere. This is like China telling Thailand what to do.

This makes me remember when that Thai prostitute with the silicone rack was refused entry to South Korea. Her retort when walking away was yelling 'hii ihea' or similar.

I'm not surprised the decision has been stalled considering that most of the illegal casinos here are owned by those in politics, BIB, Chinese or a combination of all three. There will be some big brown packets passed around before any decision is made.

Money is the only thing driving the stupidity of Prayhoot and his cronies. Watch this YT vid and see how bad covid is in China. Don't listen to the CCP's rubbish figures.

A privileged place at the trough. Why do you think Prayhoot wants to continue on? I'd think he has plans to stay in power after his 'final' two years are up.
