No, because its a local Thailand transaction....both parts of the combo transaction are local.   But even if a person wanted to consider the first part of getting the funds pulled from your foreign bank account  as international, the second part of the combo transaction of posting to your Thai bank account is simply an internal bank domestic transfer from their holding account the funds set in for a few minutes until they could complete the deposit paper work to put it in your bank account.  The second part is the only part that appears on your Thai bank ibanking/statement/passbook.

Great way to get money....but it's not coded as an international transaction on the Thai bank end.

Thanks for the quick response!! That is what I was afraid of, but like you said, still a good way to get funds if you don't need the international coding.

But my favorite method to get money....has been for over a year now is to use my no foreign transaction fee Mastercard debit card from Capital One that allows $5000 counter withdrawal per day.   What I've been doing is doing counter withdrawals at a Krungsri branch (no fee for Mastercard, but a Bt200 fee for Visa) and withdrawing Bt150,000 which is well under the daily $5K limit of the card.  I have that withdrawal directly deposited into my Krungsri bank account in the same counter setting....it's like a combo transaction...money never touches my hands.   This method beats both Transferwise and OFX...and I have the money "immediately in-hand."  And I do it at branch in a Lotus mall I visit numerous time per week....total time to do the counter withdrawal is less than 10 minutes....then I continue on to do my grocery shopping.  The reverse rate shown below is the same as 31.153618....better than the OFX rate but less than the Transferwise rate....but with no fees incurred it provides the most baht for the least dollars when considering both exchange rate and fees.

Hi Pib - Thanks for this information.  Does the Capital One counter withdrawal "combo transaction" show up in your Krungsri bank account coded as a foreign transfer?  I am looking at doing the same approach using a counter withdrawal directly into my Bangkok Bank account.  Thanks.

Last I manage to do on line, but I start to believe you should send with less than 15 days, but not more.

Yes, I believe so.  Actually, I have been successfully submitting by mail-in to Chaeng Wattana for the past several years (usually mailing anywhere from 16-18 days before the due date) and never had any issues until the last couple submissions.  So I mailed even a bit earlier this time and still got the red stamp and surprisingly everything returned with no approval.

I think the wording of "at least 15 days before the due date" is a bit confusing.  In reality, it seems like they want to receive in the 15 to 7 day window similar to the online reporting.  So if you use Registered Mail which for me is always fast and arrives the next day (where weekends and holidays are not involved), then you should physically mail on exactly day 15 before the due date or perhaps day 14 or 13 before would be ok as well.  I guess only where Registered Mail was slow delivery for you should you send 16 or 17 days before to be sure it arrives in the 15 to 7 day window.

I just re-mailed my current notification 14 days before the due date so will see if that is better this time. Thanks.

Another irritating thing is that on their homepage is says "Your new form will be stamped as of the expiration date of your old receipt" This has never worked and I loose about a week of every 90 day report.

Hi Eaglekott - Has this been clarified for you yet?  I am in the same situation and keep getting the red stamp to "Next time, please send 15 days before the due date" from Chaeng Wattana.  I have tried to send 18 or 19 days before the due date to be safe and it clearly arrives by registered mail 15 actual days before the due date and I still get the red stamp.  This time they did not process and returned everything to me.  Am I sending too early?  Should I instead send in the window 15 to 7 days before the due date (e.g., 14 days before the due date)? Many thanks.

I need to see when exactly when you will leave the country by AIR. So the confirmed flight ticket is the must.

If you have personal reasons or anything, I suggest you to apply the visa at the Embassies since I have a limited authorize.

I issue visas only to applicants who has meets the requirement.

    Again :

    1 Photo (Passport size)

1 Copy of passport (Data page)

1 Confirmed fight ticket LEAVING Thailand (in English version)

1 Hotel Booking, Rental Contract or Sponsor Letter from your friend (with your friend's ID and a copy of house registration or rental contract that has your friend's name on it)

1 Bank Statement with minimum of $700 (per visa)

and the fee is Rp 560.000 per entry (Maximum 3 entries)

If you have all of this, it will take you 5 minutes to fill up the application and wait another 3 working days to collect it (Mon morning - Wed afternoon)

If you miss one of the required document, please contact the Embassies since I cannot help you.

I'm not the one who sets up the rules, I'm here to make sure you have the right information.

Some embassies, some consulates, they can compromise if you miss some documents.

But with these document set, you can apply a Thai Tourist visa anywhere without any problem.

One more thing, African countries and a highly-restricted countries can only apply at the embassies and consulate generals.

Ps. Ubonjoe, you wouldn't believe how far people can go to get a Tourist visa. Doctoring the ticket, Mailing a passport from another country, fake booking, one booking number for the whole group, fake a sponsor letter, submit a booking in languages I don't understand telling me it's confirmed and etc...

Thank you Vongbali for this additional information.

I will be applying for a tourist visa soon and have a couple follow-up questions:

Regarding the flight tickets, can you please confirm my understanding that only a one-way air ticket leaving Thailand as you mention (and not a round trip ticket) for each entry is acceptable?

In respect to the rental contract, I have an open-ended monthly rental contract beginning 1 September 2015 (which continues on a monthly basis until written notice of termination is provided). Please confirm this would be acceptable?

Many thanks for your kind assistance.

One-way leaving should do it since I don't mind how you will enter Thailand.

As long as the contract has your name on it, it would be ok.

Thanks Vongbali for your quick response. Look forward to seeing you soon.

  7. Also, forgot to mention. For the first time, I was asked to sign a statement (written in Thai) in which I acknowledged the various documents I had submitted - at least that's what I was told it said since I don't like to sign documents blindly. I also needed to sign a second document (written in English) declaring that I was living in Thailand for the purpose of supporting my Thai wife.

  8. As an update, just returned from my annual extension based on marriage at Chonburi immigration. Regarding form TM7, they accepted 2 originals with 2 photos attached. For the marriage documents, I initially only provided the marriage certificate (as done in prior years), however, they now requested two copies of the Kor Ror 2. I only had a copy of my originally issued Kor Ror 2 from 5 years ago (since I did not have a chance to update at the District Office) and this was accepted. Got my "under consideration" stamp.Hope this info is useful.

  9. Hi Phil - Appreciate the helpful information.

I will be going to renew my one year extension based on marriage in the coming weeks. Regarding the document requirements at Chonburi Immigration, did you need to provide them with a current copy of the marriage registration (Kor Ror 2) from the amphur office (not older than six months)? Over the past several years, I have only provided them with a copy of the marriage certificate (Kor Ror 3) as part of the application and that was sufficient. However, there are indications that some immigration offices are now requiring a current Kor Ror 2.

    Thanks.

  10. Thanks everyone for the helpful information. I will be going to renew my one year extension based on marriage in the coming weeks. Specifically, for Chonburi immigration, can anyone please confirm if a current copy of the Kor Ror 2 from the amphur office (not older than six months) is now required? In the past, I have only provided them with a copy of the marriage certificate (Kor Ror 3) as part of the application and that was sufficient.

I also recall having seen reports that Chonburi immigration now requires 3 application forms T.M. 7 with 3 attached photographs. Is this still the case in Chonburi based on any recent experiences?

    Many thanks.

  11. Mario, if you currently have a valid extension of stay based on marriage (say until Dec 2011) and apply for a multiple non-O visa as you mention, then will the embassy/consulate actually cancel the current extension of stay in your passport? Or do you merely instruct airport immigration upon arrival to use the new non-o visa instead of basing on the re-entry permit associated with the extension of stay? Thanks.

You can get the ED-visa beforehand or indeed simply leave and come back on a 30 day visa exmpt entry or tourist visa. What you can also do is before the divorce go to Kuala Lumpur and apply for a multiple non-O visa. You will need to show 100,000 baht in the bank for that (does not have to be in Thailand). (Marriage cerificate, copy wife's ID and household registration required and a note from the missies asking for a visa for you would be great). The visa and the 90 day entries would stay valid. Only an extension of stay from immigration becomes invalid.

This would give you 15 months. if you can't show the money, Brisbane Australia will give a multiple non-O without showing funds.

Immigration can give you an extension of 7 days when you divorce at the cost of 1,900 baht.

  12. To check balance for True Move, go into the iPhone 4 menu as follows: Settings / Phone / SIM Applications / Check Balance. You will then receive an SMS with the requested details.

Note if you don't already have these menu settings available, you may need to send an initial SMS to 9000 with the subject "billth" for Thai menu or "billen" for English menu to setup the True balance checking feature.
