Not to forget the tests done in Africa for a fruit, plant, and animal which in all 3 cases turned out positiv.

How does one have proof in hand that the 90 day report was done? Do you print out a screen shot that has the bar code on it?

Euro lost about 7% to Bht compared to 5 years.

I only see a strengthening of the Thai Baht so what should the accusation of weakening the Thai Baht mean? The USA should make up her mind.

And you might not have to pay property tax for your condo as your first residency.

For 15 years I presented a paper from my consulate stating my yearly income as sufficient for receiving another retirement visa extension. This year I switched to the 800.000 in an account with BBK and thought it will do when having the sum deposited for more than 3 months but no. IO Pattaya wanted in addition the proof of having the income received for 2020 although I had the correct amount showing in the bankbook. I switched because the Baht was getting more expensive and I thought more reserves parked in Thailand might be sensible.

How dare Turkey buys a defence system that works and not the one USA sold to the Saudis which failed terribly.

You have the possibility to make it a point at the next AGM to vote for or against your plan if there is no other way around.

So I can expect to get the shakes on Sunday?

For years I didn't come across a Tap n Go at any shop in Pattaya. Maybe the tellers were not in the know about this function or they don't want to deal with it although you often can see almost 10 different pay terminals in a row like at HomePro. Now I have given up asking for Pay n Go just use my card with the RFID logo which they still stick into the machine. I definitely will keep my BB card handy.

I filled up my retirement account in Thailand via TW from Europe and had no limitation whatsoever. I set an alarm with TW to inform me when the rate of exchange I desired was triggered and I looked at the chart and decided to change Euros to Thai Baht and off the money went to arrive at my Thai account the next day. Before you hit the send button with TW the negligable transfer cost is shown in detail. WF has some criminal charges settled and to me it looks like a hidden exchange control is already working in the background in the US. American banks have the worst exchange rates and are the most diffcult to deal with. I cancelled Citi and Schwab for that matter. Good luck!

For heavens sake change to a more accomodating bank! I am using ANZ in Australia and never had a problem you are in.

My nose told me the mist was from burning and my terrace told me to hose it down and clean the furniture. You would not believe the black sod I cleaned off my car's windscreen. This in NaJomtien.

You can open a Thai Baht account at TW no matter where your main TW account is located. This means your remittance is considered a local transfer and then you decide when to change your money and when you transfer to Elite Visa.

TransferWise is a good way of sending money in Thai Baht to Thailand. But beware, it is a oneway. You cannot send Baht via TW the other way. I tried and asked when could not find an appropriate bank code. So you cannot change yout Bht via TW to get them out of Thailand.

Better have a yellow label pricked onto one ear with an ID number on it so malls and shopowners can more easily register them. I am thinking of those with long sleeves not to be identifed as big spenders for the wristband woun't be seen.

As one can see from the photos most condoms are rolled down only half way so one might think that the other half is still good in a time of reuse and avoidance of waste.

Is the main office at Soi 5 open or closed now and the new temporary office the only one open?

Maybe all this is meant not to loose any expats living in Thailand to their countries of origin because a return to Thailand would be too cumbersome. I for my part stay here in Najomtien at my beautiful condo with sunset etc. At home autumn is approaching and that was the time I used to move to Thailand anyway. If I am not able to return to Thailand after a visit to Europe in 2021 I would consider a very different hybernating and close my condo here. Usually after 3 to 4 months in the LOS I need a change and may it be a cocktail in Singapore or a lengthy cruise. But with the world going nuts about a rough common cold virus costing less lives than the flue, dengue, malaria, rabies, homicide, liver cancer, or traffic, it is very difficult to find an alternative other than staying put.

Was there today 10am. Not busy at all no appointment needed. Did my 90 day report for myself and friend,
picked up some TM forms to compare for changes and was out in 5 minutes.

I was informed by the builder of the condo complex I owne a condo in that I have to pay tax due to the new law. Where do I go to to pay and should I get or do I need a tax number? The juristic person management does not feel competent although most of the owners are absent or even out of the country. The official deadline for payment is end of September. Has anyone received such a tax bill from the authorities yet and can help or explain? Could the JPM take up this chore for about 120 owners and book it under expenses and get reembursement from us owners?
Plants die from tap water

My plants on my terrace need about 60 liters per week. When I water them from tap within 6 to 12 hours leaves fall off or turn brown. I have a container outside in the sun for the water so any chemials can evaporate and do not harm my plants which have an extra ventilated pot to shield them from the heat of the sun. For some orchids I have to use drinking water otherwise they do not grow well. What can I do? Is it maybe the soil poisened with anything? In the condo I live there are about 120 units but only 20 used now. Water is from the city in Jomtien.Thank you for inspirations.
