I seriously doubt the Chinese Government will let them come to a country undergoing street protests. By the way, it is not just in Bangkok, now also in Pattaya and many other Thai cities. This is the first time in my 20.5 years here in Pattaya, that anything like that has happened, beyond the Red/Yellow confrontation during an ASEAN conference being held here.

Not the brightest General to fly into the US. Can we chip in a few baht each to send Prayut on a trip to the US?

Wonder what the picture would look like if deaths from COVID were properly reported in China and Thailand.

I am sure if you can't use your Reentry permit due to bans on travel imposed by Thailand, Thai Immigration will gladly refund our money. lol
I usually get one each year after my December Retirement visa renewal, but decided to wait and see what happened. Was a good decision and will probably make the same decision this year.

Will Myanmar require them to do COVID tests and fill out 90 day forms?

Better lower the tax rates drastically to be similar to Hong Kong and Singapore, if they want to attract anyone in today's environment.

Did they forget that the Chinese tours were sold and paid for in China, including all meals and rooms. The tour companies then bargain at cutthroat prices, that offer little profit to the Thai businesses. So why bother????

I think a rubber stamp every time they enter or leave a vehicle would work along with the minder, following like a blood hound.
Does going to the toilet count for another rubber stamp under my new scheme count?? This is currently under discussion with Prayut.
Hey, this is as good as all the other stupid ideas from the alphabet soup of Ministries and TAT.

The more hair brain schemes and stupidity they publish only makes it less likely in the future tourists will even want to risk coming here. Would you go to a country that changes it mind daily/twice daily on if, or when you can come for your 14/10/7 day quarantine?
Oh and by the way you may get caught up in a rebellion.
Tourism and Thailand, Rest in Peace.

Does this not fall under Fake News, put out by TAT. Should they not be charged and imprisoned for making Thailand look bad? Better check the numbers from the other countries. I did not think people anywhere would be that stupid to pay all that money and go through the hassle to obtain a STV, just to spend 14 days in quarantine.
Think they need to change the name and not use the "STV" acronym, sounds like a sexually transmitted disease.
The latest from TAT is they expect Thailand to make over 1 trillion baht in 2021. Need to fire the lot!

On the Thai news they claimed the following:
* No crossing barrier, but lights were flashing. Driver could not hear the train whistle. Probably had the music cranked up.
* Apparently the bus got caught on its undercarriage as the track was not level. If this is true the rail company also bears responsibility.
Hopefully they do a fully investigation and take corrective actions not just on this crossing, but all across Thailand.

To solve all of the political problem, arrest the PM, his henchmen and all those involved with the illegal 2014 military coup, then retake the photos in prison uniforms.
I would be happy at that point to sign up for a prison tourist tour.

She has filed a warranty claim, I am sure.

What about whoever was in charge to oversee these schools. They are as guilty and should be charged as well.

From the "Land of Smiles" to the "Land of Confusion".
Who that has kept up with this whole fiasco from the government from the start of COVID to now would book a trip to Thailand?? The "Land of Broken Promises". I pity those expats that have family here that have not been able to return.
Somehow TAT will try and put a positive spin on this.

Suggest the same punishment for the teachers and then fire them all as well as all the administrators starting with Piboon Yongkamol. Give him the plastic bag treatment and throw in the closest dumpster.
The Government needs to silence and jail him for damaging Thailand's image.

If I get stopped at a roadside checkpoint and get a ticket for some stupid reason, I can take a copy of this new rule to court. Case will be dismissed right? lol

Copies and rubber stamps. The Nation would collapse in a heap of confusion without them.
Just a minute, they have already collapsed into a state of confusion!

This is a case of the Thai Government changing FIFO to LOFI. (last out, first in) lol
I wonder if the Chinese Government will approve their exit visa's. Everything I have read indicates they want their population to only vacation in China. Somebody count noses with red passports on the arrival flights.

Tourism facing further suffering as fears of escalation in protests mount, industry leader

TAT and other government Ministries will probably make this a tourism promotion.
COME TO THAILAND COVID FREE and enjoy "Free tours of protest sites". After dinner see the demonstrators in jail.
