Up here in our village in Khon Kaen province, they are starting vaccine distribution. Got my first shot yesterday. It was Sinovac. hey said the next one in three weeks will be Astra Zenica. Then a Pfizer shot when available.

If you have the pink ID card you can be registered now. I went to the local doc in the village, gave him my ID and was asked what vac I wanted. Told him I wanted Pfizer and he gave a date of August 19 for the first jab. 5 minutes and I was registered.
no fuss no muss.

Try internationalliving.com for good information on retiring overseas. A lot of info on requirements for different countries. An emphasis on central and south America. My choice is Belize.
Lived in Honduras for a while and liked it. No problems then, but a little iffy now.

A friend of mine just redid his 90 day report. They gave him a note saying that as of Feb. 1 you need to prove that you have 800k in your account at all time and have to show your bankbook when you report for 90 day. Can anybody confirm this? He received a written notice when he reported this month.

Thank you for the clarification.

Thank you all for the replies. Much appreciated.
At DM do you go through passport control and get the exit stamp before getting to the reentery desk? Seems like that would already invalidate m retirement visa. Maybe I misunderstand.
-
One more question, Is the fee still the same? 1000 baht for a single and 3900 for a multiple?
Thanks

Thank you for your response. Where is the desk located in the airport?
This is a big load off of my mind.
Thanks again.
-
Is a reentry permit still available at the airport? If so, what documents are required? Also is it possible at both at both airports?
Kind of a last minute situation that would be a pain to go to immigration for.
Thank you in advance.

Visa expires on December 10 and the U.S. embassy is having an outreach on November 8 in Khon Kaen. Looking to save a trip to bkk. To early to get the affidavit?

Besides the letter from the embassy showing the required monthly income, How much money do they want to see in your bank account. This is the first time doing this. I usually used a service in the past. I have an monthly income that meets their requirements, but I understand they also want to see your bank account. Is this true? If so, how much needs to be in the account?
The Immigration website says proof of monthly income OR 800,000 baht in the bank. But I have heard from people that they also want to see your account. Can somebody please clear this up for me?
Thank You.

Thanks for the responses. I think I have enough to figure it out now.

I will be out of the country when my retirement visa expires. My visa and reentry permit will be cancelled then. Is there any problem to get a new retirement visa when I return?
If there is a problem, I will fly back and renew it then fly back out to continue my endeavors.
I am basically asking if you let a visa expire, will there be a problem getting another one. Thanks

My residence is in Pattaya and will be traveling up country when my 90 day is due. Can I report up country? Tried to do it online but the website is permanently stuck on decline and won't let me finish.

Good Mexican seafood (Quintana Roo style /Caribbean style). Ie: civeche tacos
Good Californian/Mexican style.
Good American breakfast/diner style. ie: bottomless cup of coffee, Real hash browns and sourdough toast.

I can hardly wait for Costas' reply to your post...Are you listening Prayut!!!
This is where you should be focusing your efforts -- toward YOUR people. Provide universal power NOW, provide universal garbage pickup NOW, provide better and more roads NOW! Go out into the villages and farms of Thailand and find out what YOUR people need and then do everything in your power to provide it.
This is what a government is supposed to be doing with the tax money they collect...making the lives of all citizens better day by day by providing the infrastructure they need.
That is exactly what they did in our small isolated village. They came around and surveyed all the small villages and then acted on the results. They also explained the generals plans and goals. Very professional and timely. Converted this red village to their side and did what they said they would do. They still come around periodically and ask how things are and what else is needed.

In my little village in Khon Kaen they have stared distribution of vaccines. I got my shot yesterday. It was Sinovac. They said the next shot in 3 weeks will be Astra Zenaca. Followed later with a Pfizer booster when available.
Been looking into mixing vaccines and early data shows it is as least as effective if not more than two doses of the same kind. Mixing a deactivated virus vac (Sinovac, AZ) and and mRNA vac (Pfizer, Moderna) may be more effective. Data is still early stage and limited numbers, but there doesn't seem to a problem with mixing vaccines.
