I said I have about 500 pics, and we agreed 4 baht per picture, but when I sorted them out there was only 250 pics, so the price was 5 baht per pic.

Why don,t you move, if it's affecting your health so much!I have had it 3 times over a 4 year period. Dont tell me you cant get it twice because you can. Am living proof of it. But that is not the point. Here in Bangkok where I live the mosquito problem is rampant! I live next to a wet market that operates from 4AM till noon. Have asked the govt department that deals with it to come over after my 3rd infection to fume the place. But nope!!! The market people went nuts claiming they loose a days trade. Oh well.... And lately the kids at the market here also got infected but still they wont budge! Guess as soon as the kids of the owner get it something will be done.

I think you have to start from square one again, I was told you can renew your old licence 3 months before it runs out

Hello again, my wife has finally passed LIUlK test and B1.
My question is this we are going to apply for ILR visa when we return from our holiday in Thailand inMarch next year.this year 2015, we spent five weeks in Thailand in January and we want to go to Thailand on the 25th December and spend about 70 days there, am I allowed to do this, i.e spend more than 90 days away
-
I hope this is not won for another two weeks, until I come home

Thais don't like to travel too far, locate a business near you and ask there staff, do they have any friends or family that want to work, and always let them know the salary, if it's more than they are getting they might leave their job and will work for you.
If you get good staff, treat them good, give them all the tips, and don't expect them to be as good as western staff, because they are not
I once employed a girl in my business and in the afternoons we were not busy, so wifey and I went shopping one day and I asked my one staff who had nothing to do while I am gone can you clean the back of the door in the kitchen, when I got back she did one of the doors and not the other, and I asked her why had she not done it, she said, I didn't think you wanted that door done!

As far as my wife's situation , the school will test her and then tell you what level she starts at.
My wife has just got her FLR last month,
I wanted her to go for levell 3 this year, as last two years she did A1, reading, listening ,writing, etc.
The school said she could not jump a level, as the government has stopped people doing this

seatran couldn't do that time, neither could sombat, and one other I tried, I didn't try raja. I am going by car now, but I will try and get a taxi number from donsak, and I will repost it on here for others
they don't do a bus ticket that early in the morning, and I cannot chance a taxi just in case there's none there, or I will miss my flightI would guess no one has any idea.... but think when you get to Donsak, there will probably be some taxi's there.... or just ask and one will appear in short order ....
Why not just get a bus directly to the Airport? Easy and cheap, joint ticket... including ferry...
Who is "they"?
Have you checked directly with Seatran phone 077 275063 (their web site does not seem to be fully functional at the moment)
Or Raja Ferry, check their web page, looks like you can get ticket for 600 baht including pickup from your Hotel to Airport... http://www.rajaferryport.com/ The 6 am ferry + bus gets to airport at 10.30 am
I know some of the "travel agents" around Samui, only use certain times for arranging pick up.... so just try checking directly with the ferry companies, above... (The Lomprayah high speed one will be too late for you)
From experience in the past, you just need to ask when you get to Donsak for a Taxi .... if one not there then someone will call for one.... I just asked at ticket office.
Good luck!

Hi all. I have just moved in to a new house, and it has what I would call a natural well, that is,a number of concrete rings going in to the ground about 10 metres maybe.
At the bottom is soft, which I would say is sand .
My Thai wife says the water smells, and we should get someone in to clean it.
Is this possible

My wife could speak, read and write English well. She had prepared with courses in Thailand over a number of years. She still took a course in the UK (ESOL with life skills) and gained a lot of benefit from it. Her confidence was boosted and she has friends of many nationalities. Playing cards and gambling is entirely a Thai social activity unless my younger son joins them. He practices his Thai counting skills as he loses money!
She spent a lot of time using a computer course to pass the written driving test and I say again the LitUK test is no more difficult to pass than the driving test. She did not have to do the test but like most Thai's I know would have taken it in her stride!
Settlement fees are high but by the time you factor healthcare and schooling plus the other benefits of living in the UK still seem a bargain to me!

I meant farang pub, restaurant.

As the title says any pub in lipa Noi area

Hi all, I need two questions answered please.
1st is my wife only allowed up to 90 days holiday out of the uk on her 2year 3 month settlement visa.
2nd my wifes visa was from 20/06/2012, but she didnt come to the uk untill 22/07/2012. does this go against her for her 90 days out of the country?
Thanks

My wife has taken the Lituk 3 times and failed,on all 3 occassions getting 11 answers wrong on each occassion.
We have read and studied the official guide and Q & A book for hundreds of hours, she has also taken and passed hunreds of online test (though not the exact one,as in the test centre) and she hasn,t got a hope in hell of ever passing the real test.
Having left school at the age of 13 to work on the farm(not her choice) she has never had a chance.
When she came here just over 2 years ago (prior to 3 visit visas) she wasn,t allowed to go to college in that first year. (told you have to be resident for 1 year first)
She was assessed at Level 1 back in September of last year and passed Esol level 1 in January 2014 she has jumped a level to level 3 because of time restraints (27 months spouse visa) and we get her results in 10 days time.
She thinks she has passed the speaking and listening at Level 3 but not the reading and writing part of which she was entered at Level 2.
We have been married over 8 years she has a job (since 1st May 2012) pays Tax and Nat Ins but is not good enough to qualify for a British Passport because she can,t pass a poxy History test that has no bearing on her job or her everyday life.
Now just pay the £601 and keep applying for FLR every 2 years.
I,m pleased for anyone whose wife passes the Lituk Test..........but please don,t try to justify it to me
This is the same problem with my wife, she has no chance of passing this test as she also had limited education in Thailand, cost issue, many years ago.
I can't even pass the test online,
I think it's a joke , I earn good money here in the UK, the wife has a steady job, same one as when she came here, pays her tax and insurance, and doesn't rely on hand outs.

Multiple-Entry Non-O Visa Based on Marriage during COVID-19
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Posted
I also have this o visa based on marriage, and its not due to expire until 18 sept.I went to local immigration yesterday to change a car name over to some one else. and was told i cant do it as i now have NO VISA.
I entered thailand 17 jan, got my three month stamp, 13 april i was due to go for my 90 day out of the country for stamp, but borders closed,
So local immigration said my visa finished 13 april. I SAID CAN I USE MY 60 EXTENSION, THEY SAID YES BUT WE WILL BACK DATE TO 13 APRIL, WHICH MEANS ITS USELESS,.
They also said depending on the immigration officer if i apply for one year extension of stay, he might start the stay from 13 april, meaning i lose six months
