Doesn't matter where it came from ,,,as long that it is in you're personal account in you're Thai bank account for 90 days or more before you apply for you're extension.
The figure of 800 K. for the first annual Visa application procedure must be in the Bank for just over 60 days.
For the next annual procedures the 800 K. figure must be in the Bank just over 90 days.

Yes but why leave it to the last day. You can apply 30 days before your current stay finishes.
I have heart that some immigration offices accept Visa application procedure 45 days before the end of the current Visa date.
Therefore it is normal to apply for the Visa application well before the end date, and not apply for it at the end of the existing Visa.

Here is the schedule of free shuttle buses to Prom. Mall. The closest location to Maya Mall is the Amora Hotel, just outside the east side of the Old City. You'll you'll be able to get a 20 baht songthaew to take you from the Maya Mall area to the Amora Hotel.
Fortunately, for a tourist extension you can arrive in the every early afternoon and (usually) still get a queue card for the day. No so for retirement extensions. You have to arrive at opening to get one of the day's queue cards for retirement extensions.
http://www.promenadachiangmai.com/en/news-events/Update%20Shuttle%20Bus%20schedule/30
For the retirement visa application applicants should arrive early in the morning as the Immigration office suggest and should be around 6 AM because the immigration office in C.M. only accepts 20 applicants which get their queue card at about 8.30 AM.
They accept the new application 45 days prior to the end of the Visa and also up to the last day.
Of the 20 applicants they accept 10 applicants up to lunch time, and the last 10 applicants start after 1. P.M. all applicants have to wait several hours to receive their completed passport with the new Visa application.
The 90 days applications are not a big problem, the daily arrival can take any time, and then wait a little to get it done, the application can take place 15 days before or 7 days after the 90 days ending.

Go to the Trendy Building in Bangkok with the requested application procedures and the entire copy of your passport, the VSF office will then send the application procedure to the HMPO office in Liverpool they will produce the new passport and will sent it to the VSF Trendy Office in Bangkok.
The VSF office when received the new passport will inform you via email or via telephone in order to collect it.

The Immigration office in Chiang Mai accept annual visa applications 45 days prior to the end of the existing visa.
They only accept 20 Visa applicants daily and suggests that applicants should arrive very early in the morning in order to be part of the 20 acceptable applicants.

Why worry about an additional 100-bath usable in a year for the Banks annual visa application letter for the Immigration office.
Even if the cost of the visa Bank letter was 500-bath a year it would not be a matter to worry about because it is applicable once a year ...
-
In particular, can you please clarify how your service will cope with the HMPO requirement for the With-It Tower Mob to see the original of the passport being renewed, both at the application stage (despite it not then needing to be sent to Liverpool) and again when the replacement passport is ready for collection (so that they can then perform the onerous task of snipping off the corners of the old passport)?
What worried me is that users of your service could, in practice, find themselves without any means of passport identification for several weeks – which might thus land them in hot water were they during this period to get pulled over by the BIB or required to produce their passport by a bank, hospital, etc.
When we submit we need the original passport, once the passport is ready for collection we present your original passport which VFS snip the corner off.
We then return your new passport & your old passport to the applicant , current processing is 10 - 15 days.
The requirements are :
- 2 x passport photos
- A document with the applicants address
- OS Passport form duly signed & completed
All passports are sent to Liverpool passport office & returned to VFS Bangkok for collection.
Yes, the current UK passport application procedure is sent via VSF to Liverpool and then Liverpool sent the new passport back to VSF and applicants will then select it from the VSF office..
While still in Bangkok applicants can go to the UK Consulate inside the UK Embassy and they will confirm via letter the new passport procedure and the Immigration office will then accept the new passport and together with old passport they will enter the required matters in the new passport..
The passport confirmation letter from the UK Consulate can also be done online via email .

In Chiang Mai, for the 90 days extension, no need apointment... I don't understand !
You go to Promenada shopping Center
you give your passport and the form to the girl outside
You wait 30 mn
And it's ok !
Nothing else !
That does not appear to be correct, I am aware of the fact that one does not give the passport and the application forms to the girls outside.
The girls outside will only give the queue number card for the 90 days and one has to wait until he application procedure will take place inside.

As is known the "Queue Online" procedure is no longer available and the annual visa application must know be done again at the immigration office queue line.
The C.M. Immigration office states that applicants can apply for the annual visa application 45 days before the end of the existing visa date.
They also suggest that applicants should arrive early in the morning at 7 AM or even before, because they will only accept 20 applicants on the day and they give them the queue line numbers and the 20 applicants have to wait in the office queue line number, and that takes many hours.
It is possible that the "Queue Online" procedure will eventually be re-instated.

I got the same > yellow label < on the end page of my new passport and it states > please remove this label <
therefore one is able to remove it, but it is not essential, some fellows might keep the yellow label inside.

The Queue On-Line is a joke. Three years running I have diligently booked a slot 100 days in advance. Three years in a row I have arrived at the Immigration Office and told the staff at the centre desk that I have arrived for my appointment, and they have told me to sit down and wait for my name to be called. Three years in a row my name has not been called at the appointment time and for a substantial time period afterwards and I have noticed that they are processing people who have arrived and queued that day. Three years in a row I have then told them that they cannot process those people because I have an appointment at which time they have then accepted the error of their ways and given me the next available person. Next year I shall arrive at exactly the appointment time and refuse to sit down and wait. They have no respect for us in that particular office.
I had the same experience experience 2 years in a row but this year they had a list at the desk and checked my name and I was called about 15 minutes later.
me too!
And me also ...

For a retirement visa application just provide the 800.K in your bank account and hold inside the bank booklet three months prior to your visa application, the bank will provide you a letter for the Immigration office outlining the current money holding, but only your bank booklet will outline how long it was available and it must have been just over three months.
When that application is being done then there is no request from Immigration office to require a letter.from the Embassy.
-
You must make sure that the balance of the account never falls below the 800k not even for one day !
The 800 k value does not need to be available for an entire year, it is needed as follows ...
For the first yearly retirement application the 800 k sum must be in the A/c prior to 2 months
For applications in following years the 800 k sum must be in the A/c prior to 3 months.
The updated copy of the needed A/c booklet will outline the 800 k time duration in the account.
The letter from the bank will only state the current sum of 800 k but not the time set of the 800 k.

Very difficult because the Embassy no longer renews passport !
For those Brits living around Bangkok or not far from Bangkok have no problem in renewing their passport now via the "Trendy "office as opposed to the British Embassy as was done in the past.
Those chaps that live far from Bangkok that is to say both North and South of Thailand have problems, because they have to travel twice to Bangkok, that takes many hours and the travel it is expensive that is a messy matter for those passport applicants.
The British Consulate offices in the various regions should again be able as in the past to take the passport application and sent the procedure to Bangkok to the HMPO set at the V.A.C. Trendy office.

Due to Greeks financial problems the current Greek government is now looking for additional new and not repayable financial input of the requested billions and they are using those matters from ww2 which was/ is 70 years ago.
-
Those chaps that have completed the 90 days via the internet should now inform the TV Forum members about the "online" application procedure so that the fellows can do the same "online"
-
You can give written permission for somebody to do your 90 day reports. It needs have their name and passport or ID card number on it.
My wife does mine but she does not need my permission to do it because she is my wife.
Yes correct, my wife also makes my 90 days applications and never needs a permission from my.

It's more convenient to get your passport renewed in the UK, and use the same day service. Plus you can spend a day or two in a world class city. Visit art galleries and stock up on books from Foyles.
The current passport for expats in Thailand are renewed in the UK via the HMPO office in Liverpool, to suggest that it is convenient for applicants to travel to the UK for their passport renewal is not sensible.
In the past passport applications were done by the UK Embassy in Bangkok and applicants did not have to travel to Bangkok (as is the case now) they were able to use the local consulate offices and the consul did sent the application form with the passport to the UK Embassy in Bangkok and the new passport was then sent back to the consulate and the applicant collected it,
The current procedure as is known requires two visits to the Trendy office in Bangkok, the travel is expensive due to the frozen state pension income of the retired Brits.
Should the Labour party win the next general election in May 15. then it is possible that they might change the passport application procedure again to the F.C.O. (Foreign & Commonwealth Offices)

The upper northern regions are surrounded by high mountains, as a result the harmful air pollution mixture of smog / fog / etc / are a dangerous human health problem, and the public suffers.
This harmful air pollution can not get quickly out of the region due to the mountains, and it takes over a month for the ending of the air pollution.

Electronic transfers from UK banks to the BKB branches in Thailand can be done by two different transfer procedures, either via the "Swift Code" or via the "BACS System"
The "Swift Code" goes of course directly to the BKB Head Office in Bangkok and then within 2 or 3 days the sum reaches the branch of the account holders bank.
The "BACS System" goes firstly to the BKB branch in London, then the BKB London branch sent the transfer to the BKB Head office in Bangkok, and then after about one week to sum reaches the branch of the account holders bank.
The UK bank costs via the BACS System is lower than the costs via the Swift Code.

many banks are moving to the 11 digit swift code. just put xxx after the original code
The 3 additional numbers at the end of the Swift Code is the individually stated number of the Clients branch, the first "3" numbers are part of the clients account number, each BKB branch has a different 3 starting number in front of their clients bank numbers..
The Bangkok Branch account numbers contain 10 figures as follow X X X - X X X X X X - X and the first "3" numbers state the position of the branch.
The transfer of the Swift Code BKKBTHBK-XXX will be received by ... Bangkok Bank Public Company Limited in Bangkok ... and the last "3" numbers of the Swift Code do outline to them he bank that has to receive the transfer routing for the account holder.
Absolutely not true, banks do not have individual SWIFT codes for individual branch offices. They will have their main SWIFT code used for normal payments, and some banks will also have a few extra codes used for special purposes when deemed necessary (as for instance the one quoted in earlier posts by Bangkok Bank used for payments related to bonds trading). If the OP tries to put his branch code at the end of "BKKBTHBK" the payment is guaranteed to fail as no such SWIFT code will exist.
Sophon
Your reply in indicative of the fact that you did not understand what was stated here, because several banks that transfer via Swift Code use slightly different applications such as ...
1). Bank Name Bangkok Bank
Swift Code BKKBTHBK
Payment reference A/c: Name ------ ------
-----------" ------------ A/c : Number XXX--XXX XXX -X
---------------------------------------------
2). Bank Name Bangkok Bank
Swift Code BKKBTHBK -- XXX
Payment to A/c Number XXX - XXX XXX - X
-------"------- A/c Name. -------- --------
---------------------------------------------
3). Bank Name Bangkok Bank
Swift Code BKKBTHBK
Branch Code XXX.
Transfer to A/c holder -------- --------
-------" ----- A/c Number XXX - XXX XXX - X
It is well known that the '3' branch code figures that are at the end of the Swift Code are not part of the 8 figured Swift Code ... they are the firsts 3 parts of all the clients branch account numbers and the 8 figured Swift Code is not involved in it and is 100 % independent.
The entire Bangkok Bank branches are alright to receive the clients transfers from the 8 figured Swift Code produced by the "Bangkok Bank Head Office in Bangkok.
All the electronic Swift Code transfers arrive at the BKB Head Office in Bangkok and they make the payments to their applied branches.
The BKB Head Office in Bangkok gives each of his opening branches three official numbers to create their individual code.
To place these three code numbers at the end of the Swift Code is not causing a Swift Code failure because the BKB Head Office knows that the number belongs to the receiving branch.
There is no transfer confusion about it, because the Swift Code consists of 8 letters and the Branch code consists of 3 numbers, but it does not need to be done because the three branch code numbers are the 3 front parts of the customers account numbers. i.e. XXX - XXXXXX -X .

My Thai wife went last year to Immigration at 4.45 AM and turned out to be number 10.
