  1. That is the obvious etc. I will be in a nice area but are there some nice areas that are more safe... When you say willage I take that to mean a thai village ala Issan, inwhich I have been.

  2. Well, I'm getting info that some housing projects are more safe that others.... Any pics for more safe ares, like futher from the night zone etc.. Jomtien, the Hill area , East North.. etc. can one make any fair but general statments as to house safety by the area?

  3. Nice onine zine... I do prefer the other one that appears daily and on paper weekly... do you like the VDO and of course the newscaster. the work out of a funny little pair of houses on the edge of Phuket City.... First floor in the back is where their studio is..... K. Able has hosted me on the show after the great response with the article/pic etc. But I do like Phuket Wan... Aroi Mahk! Just like the Pizza company on Soi Bangla and the snack shop directly across from Moon Bar!

  4. Judging by the OP's original posting time ( 2009-01-28 04:04:46 ) I'd say he too had had a few beers by 4 am if you look at all the other threads started by the OP during that time frame. Maybe that's the key to deciphering the code is having a bunch of beers.
Time for a new sand dial..... I'm neo night person in Thailand and as total day person in my tropical abode! Quite wrong as have been ALL the most recent reviews about a getn who seems to keep this crew having a great time and doing little! Takes me little time.. BTW...Can someone tell me exactly what tim it is as I make this post, and the would be local time. actually I have supported many.. One, well not always one, at a time!
  5. Easy, go to see Moon at Moon bar and tell her about the needs. She'll likely market it with your assistance and get the guys together for a early morning game event! post-71198-1233189125_thumb.jpg

You want a Sper Bwl party.... see Moon! Way too early for my still in very good condition LIVER!

I never subscribed to the old Irish Hymn about "I'd rather be a good liver that have one"

  6. Pattaya, Mai Ow Krap, Mahk Mahk!

I entere and leave the Kingdom on an OA visa so I do stay for long times often. Phuket Wan, as in a print media thingo noted above in the green banner!. I like Scuba, Fishing, Hiking, and day walking about the various parts of towns. I will park my car and walk about a few hours etc. Even a full walk around patong is very fun as to enjoy see the changes. Just think about hosw differnet Nanai road is over just the last 5 years. .

I have lots of friends whom depend on the tourist economy and in Patong that means night live....... Sans "Hong Nam chat/pottie mouth " anyone care to compare and contrast the night life level of farang visitors, please. But do limit it to those who have real overviews of Patong!

I have spent so much time in Patong over the years that I should have bought an apartment but I love my fav hotel etc. It's like I'm part of the family, it is a family owned hotel!

PATTAYA, not since '01 and probably not again.... mai suay!

i like to stay close to the night life but go out of Patong most every day!

YOu know you're home when you see this sign

  7. Although they did get a permit to build above 80 feet a very old man who built one of the first hotels in Patong told me not to buy from the first houses on flater and higher ground were no good and the Crest was out of mind.

Well the build limit is 80m not 80ft.. And that land is under 80 (in the tessabaans measure)..

Sorry forgot to do metric... 80 Thalang Wah??? Could be that big but still the monks get rocks down in that temple just as you get into Patong! Right below the Crest thingo.... Funny just on the north side of the road the land is solid.... head out on any of those sois on the end just as you go out of town and you'll see very old structures on a rather big incline. Buying into the Crest?

  8. This guy must be on drugs. That's the only explanation I can think of.

Wow, you live in Phuket.. How is the night life in Patong is the clear question? Do you need directions to Patong.. Soi Bangla

Do you have any thing to add about the topic?????

  9. Read that one also.... Seems the new word is by the end of summer, or as per the TG agent in Los Angles.

Now as to writing like people text.. I expected people to be more familiar with the locals etc.

    ********************

I'll give it a shot. Judging by the OP's time of the post and the other late night posts by OP, I think we know why they are hard to decipher.

WEll, you are totally wrong on that one, he_l you are off by many hours way off on the time of that post!

    ***************

    >>Shorter run to the J.W., Suk Soi Song, and how much shorter movement in the airport (Thaksin only knows).

Less of a distance to the J.W. Marriott on Sukhumvit @ Soi Song (oops, I guess sombody doesn't even know where the Marriott is (not enjoyed the place as a guest I gather))

    ******************

Old airport closer to JW Marriott, soi suk song and old airport easier and less walking required then the new airport.

made that one clear as to the J.W. Marriott seems again one fails to know the local of even Sukhumvit Soi Song nor does one clearly know that it requires alot more "time on the hoof" (walking) "from cab to cabin" (from the taxi drop off to your seat on the plane, for those whom seem to be more knowledgable as to Ekamai and Mo Chit as departure areas for travel from BKK) at BKK vs DMK...(airport codes for Don and Suwannaboom) oh, there I go again, typing like the readers know something about Bangkok

    >>Just booked some good times 10:30 am DMK to HKT and 9:30 HKT DMK! I can say that after many years those are popular flights and with Songkran abound to book Royal Silk (Bus) for 7700 baht return total.... Wow, that's almost 3000 baht cheper than, <deleted> 60 days ago!!!!!

This is very clear to all except those whom ride the bus but seems people didn't know the flight that sell out hence only higher fares are offered for those runs.

I think OP is happy that return in biz class is only 7700 baht from the old airport, which is 3000 cheaper than it was to book 60 days ago.

Good work on that one! but I guess it isn't nice top see a fare drop but when you spend 178 baht from Surin to Mo Chit I guess 3K TBT is out of sight/mind

OP, am I right? Is my prize free late night beers compliments of the OP?

Doubt we'd be drinking together.... since you don't know where any of my abodes local! Forgot abou the, business casual dress code ( slacks, collared shirts and yeah, shoes!)

Now, are there any others whom enjoy the sizable discounts in TG Royal Silk? (Thai Air Ways Business Class)

Of, BTW, just incase we have another colective brain fart don't analagize about taking the train to HKT (Phuket) No service past Surat Thani

Am I on a board about Thailand? Seems not. Oh well......

post-71198-1233119594_thumb.jpg pic of the newly remodeled Exectuive Lounge and the J.W. Marriott in Bangkok. Very nice job!

  10. I, for one, still prefer the lil old DMK for my domestic flights. Shorter run to the J.W., Suk Soi Song, and how much shorter movement in the airport (Thaksin only knows).

  11. Soi Paradise... isn't ther a site like GayPatong....... Look a friend owns a straight salon massage on Soi Paradise, Twin Hearts Salon... so I'm up there often... during the day. However there seems to be lots of Gay bars but on that sicks out is "Flying Handbag" I gather, from the few gay gents I know who are staff at my regular hotel, tis not the hot spot for the younger gay set. Seems like just the the older group of gay guys work that area!

  12. post-71198-1233086149_thumb.jpgYeah, I want to hear from people who have some overview or perspective from past experience. I don't want to here some newbie punters details about how patong is AAAAAAAAAAAAAmazing.... Phuket Pros, if there is a need to flame that verbiage... I hope you near a fuel tank as others would like to here a conusmate review not just rubbish!

post-71198-1233086149_thumb.jpg and have a nice night... BTW, see you all at Songkran.... Number 10 in a row on beach road for me.

  13. QWell, have you been to the non farang places...... Lets use Nanai road for Example,,,,, stringy pieces of gai etc. and lots of veggies I've never seen. Yep, not enough stuff I would eat. the key word is Issan food, low on fish, meat and chicken due to the cost! and yes I have been to a few villages in Issan and never feel bad about a cart full of protein enriched food from Big C!

  14. The only year i didn't like was when the bikers took over Soi Bangla for a night and rammed their bikes about! More than one bar owner thought it would be good money but nothing but coolers etc........

any news for this year. I hope K. Nickie from Nickies Handle bar will be in the lead again and they get the beach are north of the food stands for the entire event Nice time by all!

  15. I do like Scruffy's although the food will pack on the kilos fast enough! I've made a few trips to the sister pub. K. Molly's but the banana dysco is of no value as I expect my banana to be well flexed before that place gets moving! How is it doing?

You would ( or mabey not) be supprised on how many BG's like to be guests at Scruffys for the sing along! Remember now that single Thai girls are not allowed in alone.....etc. And, the blokes at the door are pretty good with spying those fake DL's from Soi Khao San! I know of one TG whom was on holiday in Phuket and was refused entrance with a California DL... whe went back to her hotel and got her U.S. passport and spat the door blokette out in Thai claiming she would go to the tourist police.. Since that Police box is a mere 100 m away she gained enterance forthwith. I tried to pick her up but was told she'd be buying her own drinks and the hubby ( and U.S. Navy commander) was out to sea and she was just waiting to meet him in on a port call. Oh well, I guess it was back to tiger for a bit of trooling!

    How is Soi Tiger?

  16. There are houses up there already.. Nice.. I've been up there. tTe catch on the Crest was that they were legally condos.... Town Houses paisted together in two's and the some row of flats.... Look, Although they did get a permit to build above 80 feet a very old man who built one of the first hotels in Patong told me not to buy from the first houses on flater and higher ground were no good and the Crest was out of mind. He owns some flats also on the south side of that road but a bit further into town... the are about 10 years old but seems the rock is ok there. he laugh and said to ask the Monks at the temple just as you get to the almost flat part into town.... they removed rocks all the time for years. BTW, he also predicted that many houses on he south side of Nanai road but on the mountain side would fail, yep that too. As to those who are hot for the new flat area WAY UP on the ridge above Patong. He said no less that 100 meters from the road up there....... that means no view! BTW. A sister of the nice lady who owns Friendship Leather bought some land up there with her Aussie husband and I waiting o see them at songkran to know of their building plans!

I guess somebody got a land survery from a person other that and Indian Tailor........

  17. How are things crew. Sorry to ask only for the Phuket Pros but I would like an over view etc. Rate the crowdedness of Soi Bangla and you favorite Sub Soi!

I can say that hotel pricesa are down and they aer offering deals all over. My regular, no name mentioned, is doing a stay and pay deal before Songkran!

I hear that some bars a doing buy 2 beers and get 3????

  18. Nanai road is the bomb... However I really don't find that there is enough even at all you can eat. There is a chain of resturants across Thailand MK is name. IN MK you have menue options that are not offered at the baht nit noi joints... MK in MBK BKK, Big C Surin and Buriram.... In patong in back of Ocenas on Soi bangla, Central, and Jungceylon.. shall I continue. MK is a good grind as to having lots to ea but for the Nanai Road one etc its jacked up Issan food. etc.

I've had losts of fun at the Nanai Road. <deleted>, you can invite all the girls from you fav bar and see how shabby they dress during the day time!
