  1. Mixed reviews as we have info about getting a first time, renewal and upgrade. Most importantly is that different locals are mentioned.... Rember first rule TIT. Go to the local trans office for your area and get the correct info and procede. I haven't bothered to get the NEW bi lingual as I've a DL in Engrit from one of the 50 US. Most of what I read was correct! First time applicants remember that if you home DL and INtl' DL arenent in engrit you'll need a certifited translated version in most places. I got my first one back before the engrit DL was waived from a translation! Don't forget that about the only consisitant rule is that you go to the place in you area.. In BKK the are about 5 or 6 depending on where you live.... Usually (TIT) IT WILL BE THE LAND AND TRANSPORTATION OFFICE!

  2. Don't let a few hundred thousand paid extremists cut you out. Show you love, respect and fight for Thailand and those lovlely daughters of Issan whon we know and lust. Don't say good by.. Fly into Phuket and go from there.. Well is Bangers and Pats get the blunt keep the baht rolling and boom booming! Don't stay home and DO NOT let the bin Laden funded <deleted> keep you out.

Look, it has been proven that the Malay speaking rebels in the south are trained by the Bali Bombers pals... Firght back and speak withu Baht. Long Live Punters and may the daughters of Issan prosper with the generousity of the Farang! Enter Thailand and get the to BKK and spend spend spend!

  3. post-71198-1227985159_thumb.jpgpost-71198-1227985159_thumb.jpgIf you don't know that third class trains and busses are a problem for Farang... ooops for you. If I were on that bus, I would have gone to a market or Super Center and bought some small hand tools like cutting blades, hammers etc. and the orgaionzed a guard of 50% of the Farang men to be posted to ensure my safety. Have a map etc. Put the biggest dude right behind the driver and sequester all male Thais in the rear of the bus. We would have arrived safely if I had to drive the bus! BE dumb and get hosed off!

Somebody not happy Mai Pen Rai!

  4. Too bad, as HH is a lovley little place to retire. Greek and corrupton have set in and now people are afraid to speak out. The crooks seem to be winning, oh well. Phuket is a far better place anyway!

Hope the gent is doing better! what a shame a retired guy missies out on the golden years. I do wonder how it is that even his second home was plagued with problems..... Before the sensor-matic folks at the HH board realized that a few posts snuk in there was some info about his issues with some Brit who built alot of things on Soi 88 and drove about in a Bently. A Bently in HH, my dear man you needent show disrespect to the extent to become a target. It's like going to the Hilton Disco if you don't want to be near Kateoy!

  5. post-71198-1227902592_thumb.jpgUA has advised me that they are planning to operate the flight from NRT to BKK which will depart NRT 11/29 arrving in BKK on schedule.. I guess they know something we don't! I called the 1K line and it is a go for tonight (Asia time). I have an SMS set to advise me of any changes. FWIW I'd go to SIN and take Silk up to Phuket and forget about BKK all together for the time being. UA has advised me that under the special rules change in place for travel to BKK I could switch from BKK to SIN at NRT, no problem. Well, I just might do that, tomorrow! BTW, Silk has four A320's per day SIN to HKT. UA will allow a change to SIN and you can keep you BKK on the return after the red shirts do what the coppers ought to be doing and that is boot those Yellow shirts out.
  6. Most people in Thailand do not support the PAD. This is why the PAD will not accept new elections. Who do you want to hurt by a boycott?

Most people in Thailand do not support the PPP. This is why the PPP-led coalition-government will not accept new elections. Who do you want to hurt by a boycott ? :o

    Correction:

Most of the Bangkok people don't support PPP.. the want to establish a group who favors their interests and then hand pick 75% of the MP's because rural Thais are too stupid to elect proper officials. PAD has nothing to do with democracy and everything to do with Burma politicos!

  7. post-71198-1227896950.gifRead the contract! Acts of War which will include such actions by those whom can't get elected etc.

the real bad news is that all the 5 Star Hotels are accepting bookings from delayed pax based on their frequent visitor status. I got a call yesterday from a friend who is delightfully holed up at the Marriott on Suk and advises that the Exex Lounge is totally full every night...... Even as it was remodeled thsi fall to add 25% more seats etc the "joynt was jumping". Most punters DO NOT bring in BG's as some of the most favorable female finds in Bangkok are the staff there. All Uni grads and they do have hieght and weight rules etc.. Pooying Mahk Mahk and to be stranded with them all!

  8. I'll be in counrty very soon and plan to wear white shirt at all times. I guess my tailor in Patong will be get busy for me! Arrival, not problem as United Airlines has already booked me to Singapore and I'll fly up to Phuket on Silk Air. Bangers, well I have some non emergeny dental work scheuled but that can wait, sure will miss Sazanka...... Best scrub and rub!

  9. PPP is truley the People Power Party and the PAD had nothing to do with Democracy. Reall thaat their first proposal was the 75% of the MP's were appointed by a board the appointed because Thai's were no able to make a decission that was good for the government! PAD had a coup and lost the election and now the Bangkok rich are funding a few hundred thousand people to break the law. How is it that a band of lawless people who refuse to obey court orders can possibly be allowed to dictate rule of the land?

the airport thing is simple. NO guns no gas not clubbing. Fire Hoses get hold of some good old Eurpean block WATER CANNONS and flood away the lawless people who are hurting Thailand.

Complete Blessing of His Majesty and I hope, in his wisdom, he will look to assist in stopping the few hundred thousand paid demonstraitors from hurting the lovely Kingdom of Thailand!

How dumb am I.. I like Bush and Thaksin.

Who remembers/understands the joke about driving a pregnant prostitute driving and Edsel with a Nixon sticker... If you don't know sorry, I'll only say the Edsel was the name of Henry Fords son!

Stay out of the whole mess. If you are Farang wear white just like flying a white flag, it ain't our fight,

<deleted>, I admit that I'm only there for the Beer and Boom!

  11. While you are waiting for an agent to take up interest in selling your house, why not advertise privately?

Doesn't cost much to advertise in the papers, I'm sure there would be many internet sites with free listings (inc. this one in the classifieds section) and a few small signs strategically loacted around town.

Not much money & a little bit of your time.

    Cheers. :o

Houses are NOT sellsing in HH right now and probably forever...... too many problems there and from the reports seems to be comingled within in the industry as to builder, sellers and ad people. Considering what happened there last month have you should think about getting it heavly insured and the just have it burnt to the ground! If the place is cost you over 5Mill Baht it aid going to sell! I doubt selling against a market full of debt owned by the big builders would be a smart move. things are in dire straights in that lovely little hamlet by the sea! Made a few visitis there to see an old friend whom likes the very slow pace of life. Nice town but I would never want to live there, not even consider it!. Torch it and save youself what might be some problems as the place is now monikered.. "Trouble in Paradise"

  12. ML.... you need to be proacive, you acct exec keeps you up with the latest offers and you make you moves. Not a LOL (Little Old Lady)

If so then how they guarantee you 6 % annually.

My note speaks to find the right options for an investment in the county of choice, preferably that of you citizenship! As to the 6% annual.... numerous funds off that. Annuities are certain a complex area. I have learned alot over the last few years. I will not, as too many other do in cyber space cadet fashion) pretent to be an expert. I have only say that you should be able to understand what is on the market and that right now things are in a BIG state of flux.

The intent of my posts speaks to looking at an investment oppertunity that allows you to stay away from the realestate market in Thailand. I like the realestate market, just not in Thailand. That is my opinion.

Thing before you buy your dream house as it may be a bad dream which there seems to be too many stories.... Equally good stories abound. Up to you, but you do have choices. Those choices need to be with great care.

End of my posts for this thread as I appears the flamettes are about to mix rambutan and lychee and Pad Thai. Khao Jai?
