When you have a VPN and set it to US, you will have access to the free movie-streaming site TUBI

That's the largest US movie-streaming site and it is completely free of annoying ads.

They have a truly gigantic collection of movies.  As usual +95% are very old flicks or worthless B, C or rest of alphabet exploitation.  But their collection is so big, that you will easily find many good and worthwhile movies there too.  It's often a matter of finding them as their search-engine is not very good and when searching on Director or Actor, the engine won't get you all of the movies that they have related to your search.  But if you know the title (or a keyword of the title) for sure you will find it if it is in their collection.
Note again that TUBI content is not available in Thailand, but when you have a VPN and set it to UnitedStates, you will have access to full content.

Tubi is not ad free.  A very good service though and well worth a look.

Actually, since you do not know the Thai rules on taxation of foreign income, you should learn before you slam anyone else.  I have read for several years now. The Thais claim that expats that stay in Thailand more than half a year will be treated exactly like Thai citizens that earn foreign income - there have been several references to that very fact about the OECD taxation of global income.  I am not going to link for you but you can google several subjects on this very subject.  The final goal to date has always been to have expats that become tax residents to pay on the worldwide income tax just as Thai citizens are.  However, due to shortfalls in revenues, especially last year when they began the taxation of remittances there was a noticeable drop in the revenues collected, now in one of these articles it mentions a 25 billion shortfall is expected by Sept of this year so they need to soften the tax issue as they are aware of both expat and Thais not remitting as much as before.

In just about every article on drafts of new tax bills they mention the OECD and worldwide income taxation on tax residents.  And as I mentioned, the wording was strange at times as the writer of the article mixed different stories about the taxes here when the main issue wass the new draft decree but even then the TRD people were not sure what will be in that bill until they see the final one too.

With respect to you it would be easier to read if you used paragraphs.

Lazada and Shopee has them, but they are way overpriced and many sellers are from China.

They are "expensive" but when you consider that I bought my original one for 136 USD in 2015, it has cost me ~14 USD / year.

I cannot find any of them shipping direct from USA on Amazon, but you can use a freight forwarder like myus.com to send it to you. I used myus.com to send me the updated Amazon Blink camera module recently and was pleased with their service.

My new one if being brought over with a friend that is arriving in April.

I can see one listed at 216 UK Pounds on Amazon UK (not sold by Nvidia), and one at 197 USD on Amazon USA (sold by Nvidia). I would say that buying the US one and having it forwarded to you is the better bet, as you have bought it from the manufacturer.

Buy the Shield TV Pro, not the Shield TV (looks like a tube, it doesn;t have USB ports, and has less RAM and only 8GB memory.

Nvidia Shield pro is a beast and well worth the money.

  4. Wizz Tv are only concerned at their service being used at one IP address at a time. People travel for extended periods. People change addresses and countries etc. I spend extended periods in my home country and other locations also. I have spoken to Wizz Tv and confirmed this.

Wizz say that your subscription has to be used at your address and not taken to other places . If caught they will block you

Really? I travel all around Thailand and to other countries and use Wizz tv wherever I go.

I sent a message to their chat service today and they confirm you can use your subscription in different locations. Obviously you cannot use your subscription in two locations at the same time though.

I have Wizz TV - Sky Mirror. Even after connecting direct to modem having continued buffering problem. Before Sky news there was no buffering now even that is has buffering.

I have no problem viewing for example CNA -Singapore channel directly on Internet or you tube. Any advise how to solve this issue ?  I am connected on Wizz TV App on android box than by HDMI to TV. All advice appriciated and thanks in advance.

Have you contacted Wizz tv to discuss this? They can be helpful at times. They will assist you to troubleshoot your buffering issues. Have you cleared the cache on your android box, forced stopped the Wizz tv app, reset the router and restarted your android box. Checked your internet speed? You can check the speed using the Wizz tv app. These tips may help.

Fire stick , I have the latest version  . I pay for 500 Mbps internet . Works well in the daytime but come the evening , every Wizz channel buffers , unwatchable . A speed test shows only 1 , 2 , 3, or 4 Mbps download in the evening compared to 430 Mbps in the daytime . YouTube always plays well . I have a very good router , Archer t-p-link cat 6e . Strange thing is , if I wake in the small hours when there will be few internet users , Wizz does often buffer , despite having a good speed test . Trouble is that where I live up here in Issan , internet technicians are as rare as rocking horse poo . The tech who installed my router had never seen or heard of an Amazon fire stick ( he said I should upgrade to an Android box , ffksk .)

Amazon , well my Amazon Alexa Dot Echo has stopped working this last week . It plays a song for 30 seconds , stops and says

" I am having trouble playing songs from your library " . Contacted Amazon who said they will investigate but they have not got back to me . Alexa also asks me if I want to install their no adverts app for 5.99 pounds a month ( suspicious ) .

Where did you hear that Amazon was blocked in Thailand ?

I also live in Surin. Had Wizz tv for several years. Live tv occasionally buffers but so infrequently it is only a minor annoyance. Internet is with 3BB and we are 15kms from the city. Have several friends in Surin who have Wizz tv who also are very happy with the service. It may be worth going to a cafe or a friends place and use their wifi to see if your Wizz tv still buffers at different locations.

I am having similar issues using Wizz TV . Every channel buffers even in the small hours .  Every check carried out . 300 Mbps download . Emailed them , asking if their servers were having problems but no reply . Gonna try a new IPTV company that states anti freezing technology

Wizz tv in Isaan is working very well amongst family and friends in different cities. Also working well in many businesses in Udon Thani. Friends in Australia state it is working well there too. It may be the issue is not with Wizz tv at all but something at your end. Have you considered changing servers? Are you using a Vpn? Are you using ethernet or wifi? Just some items to consider which may help.

I made some changes to the Kodi advanced settings which has reduced buffering , Tried getting on Real Debrid site  is definitely closed all I get is some legal statement  saying it its blocked due to regulations  and thats using  NORD or  Windcribe ????

Im looking into alternatives , I back to UK next week  for family reasons so will see how thing work there ,,,where I have fibre broadband ,, but UK broadband and 5g is much worse than Thailand ,,Best UK speed is only 35Mbps  in my area  and No 5g even 4g is very patchy  and thats in the Cotswolds

RealDebrid site is not closed. I just accessed it now. Premiumize is an alternative if you wish to change from RealDebrid.

    Ohh, when did this happen?

I have a subscription and used it a couple of weeks ago.

RealDebrid are still operating despite being served with legal papers recently. I and friends and family still use their service daily and it is working very well. Absolutely no buffering on my Kodi set up.

You don't need Kodi only VPN, in fact my Norton 360 VPN works fine.

just sign up for 9NOW and any other channel.

Seven Network (7+ or 7plus), Nine Network (9Now), Ten Network (10 play), ABC (ABC Iview) and SBS (SBS OnDemand).

    Or use:
    TV Guide | Freeview Australia

The advantage of the Kodi addon is that you can select different states. Eg Victoria, New South Wales etc. Plus picture quality.

Addon also has Australian radio stations as well as New Zealand tv channels and radio stations plus a lot of other free addons.

I'm planning on spending two nights in Udon next week. the posts above paint a bleak picture but that was pandemic time so understandable. I'm looking for a hotel walking distance from a few restaurants and bars. What areas of the city should I be looking at? THX

@homeatudon at 650 night is well worth the money and is a very nice place to stay. Larger rooms are 750 and 850 a night. very close to all the bars, restaurant and a few minutes walk to Central festival shopping centre and Ud town. Located in Soi Sampan and there are several other hotels in the same soi. Old Inn. Grand Bua, 8hotel and Top hostel. Pannarai hotel also in the same Soi.

Gift scenerio:  Someone mentioned about gifting to exgirlfriends.  I think there are more then people think who do this.

So, you send her monetary gifts  She has her own house, car etc.  You receive nothing back from the gift.  Except, you do go and visit her a few times a year and you stay in a hotel.  She comes to your hotel and you have sex with her.  Let's say 10 times a week.  She does this over appreciation for the gifts you send.  If you didn't send it she would not meet you.  Isn't this receiving something back from your kind gift?  How would this possibly be taxed?

Revenue department have cameras in the hotel room mate. That's how they will get you for the tax. 1000 baht for each bonk! 😁

Haha, that will not work. You all read only one part of that concerning article in the law.

Sure you can send your wife money.....as long YOU would not benefit. Buy her jewelry is ok, money is not.

Btw, there are many webinars already about the new law. Look for it and you'll be informed!

Money is definitely legal to give to a spouse as a gift. I'm surprised you would say it is not.

What part of returning funds meant as a gift voiding any tax free status do you not understand. Are you people so dumb to think you can con the RD and they will somehow miss it. You wouldn't dare to con HMRC or the IRS or Euro equivalent tax authority, So why do you think you can con the RD. a Hefty fine and prison time awaits and then you get kicked out of Thailand.

CharliKo. Are you having a bad day? Forums are here to discuss topics and give different points of view.
